1:01, I love this scene so much! I love the way after Alex whispers "good", Michael turns around and stares him down as if to say "clarify exactly why you said good" and "I'm going to devour you right now". I also love how after Michael basically says he's not going to stop looking at him that way, Alex walks into Michael's trailer without saying anything more. He's like, I give up, just take me.
So I’ve never seen this show and after this video I’m so obsessed with this couple and these characters but I have to say.. the jumpscare that was Tyler Lockwood during the wedding scene made me laugh 😆 (yes I am gonna go watch this show now)

Okay, I just came here after watching all of the Malec kisses in Shadowhunters and I just noticed some parallels this show has with that one. The names for starters, Max, Isabel and Alexander, but also that two of them were siblings with the third being thought of as a sibling despite not really being one. They have secret identities that are threatened when one of them brings the girl they like into the fold…I’m sure there are more but I’m pretty tired.

There's a big problem with your compassion .. Roswell oh and books per dated Shadowhunters and bthe morals instrumental by a lot. Roswell high books was written by one of Buffy writers.So there's copying of stories extra it'd be on CC and the moral inspector sided Cause I'll put this was I remember when Roswell high came out I was young and I'm fifty now so yeah that series is Old. Also these they count the outsider the first the Roswell high books to late 1998 but guessing a couple years older if remember correctly it was a reprint that came out when the show started But The first mortarl instrument book was in 2002 I remember cause I was watching Buffy but reading Anita Blake and I honestly it an Anita clone with angels or ehat every. I was let down cause there was way less sex and orgies and vampires nonsense. But hey Alec and Magnus were Cool.
I watch the Roswell High show from the 90s/2000s and it doesn’t even compare to the remake. This one is so much better and more interesting! Malex forever!
@tinaclayton547 Yeah, I'll always love the original as well. I like the new one and Alex and Micheal's chemistry is so cosmic, whereas in the original it's Liz and Max. Also in the originals, there was more alien plot and fighting.
So sweet. Wish the CW would've just given them two extra episodes (like freeform did with Shadowhunters) to wrap it all up except we got a cliffhanger.
I mean yeah and no Max going to the home world and taking care of things is about how it should end it's his job. Michael and Alex getting married was what they focused on because it's what they deserved. Plus you know Shadowhunters left for Jace without a love interest and I'm not really happy with the way they left it up in the air because Magnus will move on and find someone else after Alex dies where is Alex and Michael are actual soulmates and will grow old and die and move on together. So no it is not the same thing and I think that this show got the better ending and more realistic to what it should be ending 😊n
@@cosmic3991I also get the feeling that neither of you ever actually read the books before the series you would know that Michael's brother winds up going home to the home world. And since they could not give him a random brother out of nowhere they decided to go with Max who's supposed to be kind of his brother and Dallas who is his triad member brother.. so they split the difference and made both of his brothers leave for the whole world like in the book.. mainly because the book is what it's based on not the original show. Stupid people that try to hold this up to the original show are going to be disappointed because the characters are different inner based on the books not the OG show.

@@kbl55429 well if you had actually read the books or watch the first show you know there is no guarantee they were teenagers so they didn't get guarantees. Because it was hopeful but it was also going to be a future at least in the first show of running because they didn't have someone like Alex to protect them from the government so they were running the government. The books Michael was more settled like in the show he was happy. Because he had Isabelle and Max and he had Maria because you know I can't love interest the books and the television show was. I just never really saw them working out long-term honestly because she wants to be a singer and forever he wanted to leave the planet and it was way more toxic in the show and then say the second show... The second shows Alex's relationship with Michael was way better and nowhere near as toxic. The stupid part was Spokane boys and girls in general 👍 cuz even if you didn't see those things you can look it up. For example when it comes to Hannibal.. we're talking movie series Everest books Hannibal and Clarice run off together. And movies they do not.. television show Hannibal and will run off together.. I don't know if you're seeing where I'm going with this media translation is different to books. Shadowhunters is a different show they had an established Canon that they were going with The creative difference that they didn't have the time or the energy to fix the Clary before the end of the show and the thing of it is.. they basically paying themselves into a corner there so you know that's on them. But not everybody has the answers at ending I don't know.. I think that they did a good job. Because Michael and Alex got married and Isabelle and Kyle are happy and together and so what Liz has to wait on Max for a change instead of him waiting on her? Maybe she'll grow up and stop running. Or you know stop trying to sell them out every time that there is recognition or prize involved. And FYI oh Liz was a nice girl that didn't do any of that shit. Saying yes she had roses gig of being a part alien she would have been screwung herself over if she did that

Just did a series rewatch and I got a little sad wishing a bit more of the energy/ quality of season one carried on. Still love the show though. The characters and the actors bringing them to life carry the show even when the production might fail it a bit.
Season 1 was okay but became a total s*** show later on and season 2 was nothing but crap. Season 3 is awesome in season 4 is a little Tyler absent but the fact is that he got hurt really bad and it's not really anybody's fault. That being said season 4 was awesome 👍❤

I know that’s why I stopped watching Maria basically raped her “best friend” and I love Michael and Alex but as soon as Michael knew where it was going and how uncomfortable Alex was he should’ve stopped it not only was it rape but I would think Alex was so hurt and heartbroken during and after I really hated Maria after that

And I kind of felt like they eventually pretended it didn't happen by the time Alex and Michael got back together for good in S3. Like having that threesome was just totally odd and didn't make sense at all, especially because they both knew Alex was uncomfortable. And with how hurt Alex was when Michael chose Maria over and over, ouch. I dunno, it was a terrible scene. I cringe whenever I rewatch it. I'm just really glad Alex and Michael got their happy ending, but I definitely wasn't a fan of Maria's most of this show TBH. And I never understood why they paired her and Michael to begin with when Alex and Michael were obviously the love story. The writers could have found other ways to keep them apart for a bit, and putting Michael with Maria made no sense for this version of the show. In the original Roswell show, Michael and Maria are the love story, but it was a very different show. No offense to the actress who played Maria in the new show, but she had no romantic or sexual chemistry with Michael or Alex for that matter. It was like watching siblings kiss, yuck 🤣. But yeah, that threesome is definitely a part of Roswell I pretend never happened, it's so cringe 😬.

I think Michael didn’t stop it because he wanted to do it because he missed Alex, if you watch it the kisses between Alex and Michael are more intense than Michael and Maria. Also, in the beginning-ish of this episode Alex and Maria were talking about how he would feel if he was straight and how they were each other’s first kiss. So I guess I don’t see it as r@pe. Choosing to make Alex gay in this new version is a weird choice to me if I was going to make anybody gay it would’ve been Kyle😂 it fits his personality very well. Maria and Michael were my favourite couple in the original. I hate that they ruin that
I actually thought it was an awesome change compared to the original show. I think it worked well because it took place mainly 10 years after high school. I actually really liked that. And while they may have kept the main characters similar to the original, it had its own uniqueness that felt really refreshing. I loved the original too, but I loved this new version just as much...there are a LOT of differences to both shows, even how the aliens use their powers and additional characters that weren't in on the original, etc. I loved that it wasn't just a copy of the original, but inspired by it instead. I was bummed it got cancelled after 4 seasons, but Alex and Michael were my favorite couple in this new version, so I'm thrilled they got a happy ending together ❤.

1:01, I love this scene so much! I love the way after Alex whispers "good", Michael turns around and stares him down as if to say "clarify exactly why you said good" and "I'm going to devour you right now". I also love how after Michael basically says he's not going to stop looking at him that way, Alex walks into Michael's trailer without saying anything more. He's like, I give up, just take me.

I knew him from roswell first so when I saw him show up as Caleb I screamed
Okay, I just came here after watching all of the Malec kisses in Shadowhunters and I just noticed some parallels this show has with that one. The names for starters, Max, Isabel and Alexander, but also that two of them were siblings with the third being thought of as a sibling despite not really being one. They have secret identities that are threatened when one of them brings the girl they like into the fold…I’m sure there are more but I’m pretty tired.

Roswell high books was written by one of Buffy writers.So there's copying of stories extra it'd be on CC and the moral inspector sided
Cause I'll put this was I remember when Roswell high came out I was young and I'm fifty now so yeah that series is Old. The gays stuff is new though.😅
Also these they count the outsider the first the Roswell high books to late 1998 but guessing a couple years older if remember correctly it was a reprint that came out when the show started

The first mortarl instrument book was in 2002 I remember cause I was watching Buffy but reading Anita Blake and I honestly it an Anita clone with angels or ehat every. I was let down cause there was way less sex and orgies and vampires nonsense. But hey Alec and Magnus were Cool.

I loved the original Roswell it took a bit to get into this one for me. But then I also grew up with the original so.....
@tinaclayton547 Yeah, I'll always love the original as well. I like the new one and Alex and Micheal's chemistry is so cosmic, whereas in the original it's Liz and Max. Also in the originals, there was more alien plot and fighting.

I mean yeah and no Max going to the home world and taking care of things is about how it should end it's his job. Michael and Alex getting married was what they focused on because it's what they deserved. Plus you know Shadowhunters left for Jace without a love interest and I'm not really happy with the way they left it up in the air because Magnus will move on and find someone else after Alex dies where is Alex and Michael are actual soulmates and will grow old and die and move on together. So no it is not the same thing and I think that this show got the better ending and more realistic to what it should be ending 😊n
@@cosmic3991I also get the feeling that neither of you ever actually read the books before the series you would know that Michael's brother winds up going home to the home world. And since they could not give him a random brother out of nowhere they decided to go with Max who's supposed to be kind of his brother and Dallas who is his triad member brother.. so they split the difference and made both of his brothers leave for the whole world like in the book.. mainly because the book is what it's based on not the original show. Stupid people that try to hold this up to the original show are going to be disappointed because the characters are different inner based on the books not the OG show.

And I liked the Shadowhunters ending better, at least with Jace it was a hopeful ending, this it was just open ended which I don’t like.
@@kbl55429 well if you had actually read the books or watch the first show you know there is no guarantee they were teenagers so they didn't get guarantees. Because it was hopeful but it was also going to be a future at least in the first show of running because they didn't have someone like Alex to protect them from the government so they were running the government.
The books Michael was more settled like in the show he was happy. Because he had Isabelle and Max and he had Maria because you know I can't love interest the books and the television show was. I just never really saw them working out long-term honestly because she wants to be a singer and forever he wanted to leave the planet and it was way more toxic in the show and then say the second show... The second shows Alex's relationship with Michael was way better and nowhere near as toxic.
The stupid part was Spokane boys and girls in general 👍 cuz even if you didn't see those things you can look it up. For example when it comes to Hannibal.. we're talking movie series Everest books Hannibal and Clarice run off together. And movies they do not.. television show Hannibal and will run off together.. I don't know if you're seeing where I'm going with this media translation is different to books.
Shadowhunters is a different show they had an established Canon that they were going with
The creative difference that they didn't have the time or the energy to fix the Clary before the end of the show and the thing of it is.. they basically paying themselves into a corner there so you know that's on them. But not everybody has the answers at ending I don't know.. I think that they did a good job. Because Michael and Alex got married and Isabelle and Kyle are happy and together and so what Liz has to wait on Max for a change instead of him waiting on her? Maybe she'll grow up and stop running. Or you know stop trying to sell them out every time that there is recognition or prize involved.
And FYI oh Liz was a nice girl that didn't do any of that shit. Saying yes she had roses gig of being a part alien she would have been screwung herself over if she did that

Just did a series rewatch and I got a little sad wishing a bit more of the energy/ quality of season one carried on. Still love the show though. The characters and the actors bringing them to life carry the show even when the production might fail it a bit.
Season 1 was okay but became a total s*** show later on and season 2 was nothing but crap. Season 3 is awesome in season 4 is a little Tyler absent but the fact is that he got hurt really bad and it's not really anybody's fault. That being said season 4 was awesome 👍❤

I'm right there with you it's usually homophobes and people saying saying something of the degree that they like the first show better because this one's too woke translation they don't like the gay.
It’s annoying that in a lot of shows containing a gay love story, they always have them have a three way with a female?! Like why?
I know that’s why I stopped watching Maria basically raped her “best friend” and I love Michael and Alex but as soon as Michael knew where it was going and how uncomfortable Alex was he should’ve stopped it not only was it rape but I would think Alex was so hurt and heartbroken during and after I really hated Maria after that
Many of these stories are written by straight people, and these people kind of have a fetish for putting gay people in a position of heteronormativity
@@brittanyscott9994yeah, I wasn't happy about that threesome scene AT all...that was bad writing. And I kind of felt like they eventually pretended it didn't happen by the time Alex and Michael got back together for good in S3. Like having that threesome was just totally odd and didn't make sense at all, especially because they both knew Alex was uncomfortable. And with how hurt Alex was when Michael chose Maria over and over, ouch. I dunno, it was a terrible scene. I cringe whenever I rewatch it.
I'm just really glad Alex and Michael got their happy ending, but I definitely wasn't a fan of Maria's most of this show TBH. And I never understood why they paired her and Michael to begin with when Alex and Michael were obviously the love story. The writers could have found other ways to keep them apart for a bit, and putting Michael with Maria made no sense for this version of the show. In the original Roswell show, Michael and Maria are the love story, but it was a very different show.
No offense to the actress who played Maria in the new show, but she had no romantic or sexual chemistry with Michael or Alex for that matter. It was like watching siblings kiss, yuck 🤣.
But yeah, that threesome is definitely a part of Roswell I pretend never happened, it's so cringe 😬.
@@beezer81 it really is I hate what Michael did how he didn’t stop it that’s why I didn’t watch season 2 I only started watching again when Michael and Alex got back together but hell they could’ve had Alex reenlist they didn’t have to basically rape Alex especially when he went through the trauma of not only losing his soulmate to his “best friend” he was stabbed and didn’t want to be alone and he thought his “best friend” and the man he loved would help him but instead he was forced into a sickening threesome and then after that he probably felt garbage that was disposed the next day when he had to leave it was after this I really hated Maria and I agree I don’t know why they were even put together they had no chemistry or anything
@@brittanyscott9994I only noticed Alex looking sad and uncomfortable when Michael and Maria kissed before she kissed Alex. Then she kissed him and he didn’t look uncomfortable. Yeah he said that he should go but then he said that he didn’t want to go, so if really wanted to go he would have left. I think Michael didn’t stop it because he wanted to do it because he missed Alex, if you watch it the kisses between Alex and Michael are more intense than Michael and Maria. Also, in the beginning-ish of this episode Alex and Maria were talking about how he would feel if he was straight and how they were each other’s first kiss. So I guess I don’t see it as r@pe. But that’s my opinion

I actually thought it was an awesome change compared to the original show. I think it worked well because it took place mainly 10 years after high school. I actually really liked that. And while they may have kept the main characters similar to the original, it had its own uniqueness that felt really refreshing. I loved the original too, but I loved this new version just as much...there are a LOT of differences to both shows, even how the aliens use their powers and additional characters that weren't in on the original, etc. I loved that it wasn't just a copy of the original, but inspired by it instead. I was bummed it got cancelled after 4 seasons, but Alex and Michael were my favorite couple in this new version, so I'm thrilled they got a happy ending together ❤.
