Cathode ray tube electrostatic and magnetic deflection
Вставка

- A weak magnet is used to deviate the cathode rays generated by a Cathode-ray Tube. The north pole is moved close to the tube along the horizontal plane and the rays go down, then the south pole is moved close to the tube along the horizontal plane and the rays go up.
After this an electric field is applied between the deflecting plates with the positive pole up (red wire) and the negative pole down (black wire). The potential difference is 120 V and the rays, which are composed of negatively charged electron, bend up toward the positively charged plate. This effect can be opposed or enhanced by a magnet. When the electric field is removed the rays become horizontal again.
Cathode-ray Tube is mod. DE453-3S Kathodenstrahlröhre mit Spalt from Fruhmann GmbH

Btw, nice high voltage supply!
Can be used to propel a space craft in the vacuum of space - almost zero resistance in the vacuum of space.
Do how do CRT TVs get the RGB colours.
The electron beams makes the individual phosphorus grow either red blue or green depending on the type of phosphorus
@@kenjo5560 thank you for answering my question. That makes sense.
Where can I find a tube like this? Nice video!

No one will ever convince me that LCD’s and OLED’s are better than CRT’s. Yeah sure more practical but not cooler. Also nice kV supply.
I agree, thank you!
DontSeeTheElectrostaticDeflection....
The Electric Field is applied At 27 seconds into the video and the beam goes up a bit. It is then turned off at 55 seconds and it turns down.

Exactly 👍
Can't general harmful x rays?
Yes, some X-Rays can be generated by Bremsstrahlung but operating under 5 kV they are of the soft type having a spectral energy range from 100 eV to 5 keV and are easily absorbed in air and by the glass tube itself so there is not a real concern in this case.
The term “electrostatic” is a misnomer. It’s longitudinal-dielectric because it involves the dielectric field and standing longitudinal waves, while electricity is transverse electro-magnetic waves. So we really should stop the spread of that term wherever possible.
Hello
Do que é feito essa placa onde o feixe verde aparece?
It's a thin metal sheet coated with a phosphorous
😳😮💨

Yes, thank you Sir!
Okay, so what? What is the purpose of this?
Accelerating, directing and then smashing invisible subatomic particles in a vacuum tube against a phosphorous coated piece of metal is just plain fun
“The Final Theory: Rethinking Our Scientific Legacy “, Mark McCutcheon for proper physics including the CAUSE of gravity, electricity, magnetism, light and well... everything. A proton is a collection of 1836 expanding electrons and add a bouncing expanding electron makes a hydrogen atom. “G” calculated from first principles- the hydrogen atom- in 2002 in said reference. Expanding electrons/atoms do it all.
Making your fat 90’s CRT TV work is the purpose of this.
Please perform experiment with explain
Thank you for the suggestion, I usually prefer to keep the videos as short as possible and without talking but I put a detailed explanation in the description below. If you have any doubt you're welcome to ask.
AWESOME SIR
Thank you!
Where can I find a coil like this? Nice video!
@@shawncalderon4950The link for the tube is in the description, the HV supply is from Frederiksen
This machine is emitting X-ray energy
It probably does emit some internally but a negligible amount can escape the glass envelope of the tube: running at 5 kV the 99.9999% of the most energetic X-rays produced by Bremsstrahlung are adsorbed by only 0.5 mm of borosilicate glass. Attenuation due to 1 m of air is also very high (99.222%) so these tubes are practically safe. Things get different with higher voltages though.
Best video
Thank you, Sir!
De uma coisa assim é que temos as TVs de 8K
De facto! 😅
I hate videos where they don't tell what the hell there doing
strano che funzioni a tensione così bassa; è quello, che vendono i cinesi?
Infatti è un'ottima cosa, ho messo il link al produttore del tubo nella descrizione del video 👍

There are some similarities 🤗
