@crabby-boiii No wonder with this attitude .. 2nd game his attitude is like -- "There we go another boring player, bro what is wrong with people" and lost the game blundering pieces
Mate I’ve been watching since the start - love the videos and feel your pain. Since you started I was already a 1300, I’m now at an almighty…. 1230. Don’t forget how far you’ve come, it’s really impressive. Chess is hard. Keep it cool brother
I think you are CORRECT about reducing the speaking, during your games. Sometimes, it's not your chess. it's your attitude (or frame of mind), that's the problem. 1) Stay positive, brother! Your losses have been pointing out "holes" in your training, because you're facing ever increasing strength of opposition. Normally, one might take a break from playing, but you have imposed a HIGH standard upon yourself (as any correct-thinking strong player should do), but you have compounded it with an arbitrary Jan. 1, 2025 time frame, which RAMPS UP the pressure. 2) Don't give up. You're "in for a penny, in for a pound". Try looking at it through an alternate lens... If you "fail", then it's only a TRUE failure, if you give up. So, if you don't make it by Jan. 1, it's a mild "set-back" & not a BIG DEAL. 3) NOBODY really cares what date you reach 2000. You will simply receive "congratulations, mate" and/or "well done" from those that care...whenever you reach that plateau. Here's my own story (for comparison)... I played my 1st official tournament Aug. 1981 & it didn't go as well as I had anticipated. So, I set myself on the correct path & made it up to 2000 by the end of 1982 of early 1983. Now, the difference between us is our AGE (around which we achieved 2000). I turned 20 in Dec.1981 & I had a different path than you have. Mine was far more classically driven by books & done without the assistance of chess engines (for training). 4) You appear to be older than 20 & if you're over 25, it has an effect on your speed of learning, but NOTHING can stop your WILL POWER. NOTHING! If you want it BAD ENOUGH...you will make it happen! I guarantee it. I have full confidence in you, because I see some of my own DRIVE in you! I hope that this helps.
Thanks man. Yh you're right about me concluding that not reaching 2000 by a date is a failure. Eventually I will get there but the time frame is probably hurting my progress rather than helping. As for the age thing, I am 26 but I highly doubt I'm slower at learning now than when I was 20 and I'm probably faster (and more skilled) at learning right now. Like you said, it comes down to mindset.
@@VoltzChess Humans become progressively slower at learning (in general), as they age. This explains why children learn languages faster than even the smartest adults. So, this is the reference that I am making about your learning speed. It's a statement of scientific reality & not at all personal. On the flip side, normal chess players of my age are usually in decline (sometimes, severely). I am still getting stronger at chess, but at a very slow rate of change (especially compared to a prime condition MAN, like yourself. So, you DO need to be aware that your prime years of learning chess (fast) are fading at 26 (as mine were, compared to my younger self). Don't worry. You'll get to 2000+. I've seen it numerous times, so I can spot "it" in a serious player. If you watch my training videos, you'll see the chess "gaps" that you have are VERY, VERY HARD to spot, without a reference guide. So, you've done well to get where you are, on your own (I surmise). Of all the people that comment, how many do you think have achieved 2000 (or more) & then, how many of them can actually help you (other than myself)? If I can help you reach 2000+, then it helps me, too. It's a Win-Win. Thanks for the conversation!
@@VoltzChess My Dad's Rules taught me to appreciate mental toughness & you've got it. I think you will increase it, because I can see it whenever you lose a game, because that's when a man's true character gets revealed. Congratulations. I know that your father must be very proud of you.
The issue concerning boring games. So you are trying to break through to 2000 rating but yu also want to play exciteing chess? Play and enjoy boring games! I play the Ruy Lopez I play the same line and wait for my opponent to make key mistakes-- and its loads of FUN! Good players stick to their same known lines (like you do with the scotch) and win- thats what chess is about.
2nd game his attitude is like -- "There we go another boring player, bro what is wrong with people" and lost the game blundering pieces ... wow what an attitude .. couldn't win against boring opening .. lol
Stay with it bruski. Shake this off, a couple of losses ain’t shit
hes like 1866 now, stuff like this happens but after u will bounce back better than ever.

@@mick5719 I think I found the boring player
@@mick5719 lol, I always have this self chat with myself when I play similar to that, it's natural as it comes with a competitive game.
A break will do you good man, few days off and get back at it!
As a 1500, this comforts me for the fact that mistakes can be made in higher levels too
Yh bro anyone can make it to 2000 🤣
Keep it up man your videos are really great to watch i know you tilted after this but dont worry you will get to 2000 before 2025
