JD Offline, love your channel and I have pretty much watched all your Jeep vids. As a novice Jeep enthusiast, I have learned a ton from your videos. Keep up the excellent work with your other projects.
Thank you Jack, really appreciate that feedback and glad the videos were helpful. It sure was a journey with the Jeep and I'm still tinkering with it from time to time. More videos will be out soon, we are building a house and this has delayed my projects. JD
I’ve installed this brand as well on my 83, I had the body off at the time. Very happy with the product for the fit and quality. Yes, had to buy the clips as well. The ones I got are stainless with rubber cushion on the inside of the clip and stainless screws. Had a problem with a new Proportion brake valve, it started to leak after only 6 months of use from the front rubber boot cap on the valve. It was replaced for free from Morris 4x4 under warranty, I hope this doesn’t happen again it was a pain to replace it with the body back on. With most aftermarket products as we know they come from China, enough said. The original valve lasted over 35 years and it was still working, it just looked like hell. I enjoy your Vid’s and tips, your Jeep is looking good and continue to enjoy the journey!
Thank you for the feedback and comment! I used the exact same stainless clips with the rubber inserts and will show them in Jeep Update 48. If you go back a couple videos on my channel, I bought a Wilwood power brake conversion kit and it comes with a proportioning valve that mounts to the master cylinder. I like this set up better because the factory proportioning valve is in a really difficult place to get to. That stinks that yours is leaking....mine was as old as yours from the factory and working with no leaks as well!! Installing the brake lines with the body on is a pain but worth it in the end. Thanks again for your support of the channel and stay tuned for the 350 swap and reassembly of the Jeep.
This has been a while ago. I know I had to get some custom lines made for the Wilwood master cylinder to connect to this kit and I went to Classic Tube and they hooked me up. Hope this helps. JD
Hey Jeff, good to hear from you. No, I added a Wilwood master cylinder that came with an adjustable proportioning valve that mounts to the master cylinder so I didn't need the factory proportioning valve and deleted it. I had to get some custom lines made to go to the Wilwood master from Classic Tube but it was worth it and no regrets. I have Sanderson block hugger headers and didn't have any clearance issues even with the factory set up. I know there's a video on my channel where I cover the proportioning valve removal and explain more about my brake set up. I'll see if I can find it. JD
I"m having to do it in stages since I can't put the front lines in until the new motor is in place. The rear brake lines are complete and I'd say roughly about 1 hour taking my time. Not hard to do just time consuming. Thanks for the comment.
@@JDOffline I read all on here. Didn't see anything My engine is done, installed, NP205 and th350 are all in now and cam is broken in. Did your BDS lift come with shackles...stock or extra height?
@@yahiride7578 that's weird. The BDS lift did not come with shackles and I provided heavy duty shackles (min lift they sold). As for the brakes I went with an aftermarket Wilwood master cylinder with an adjustable proportioning valve that mounted to the master cylinder. I then deleted the factory proportioning valve. I didn't have clearance issues though from what I remember but I think I removed it before my engine was installed. There's a video on the proportioning valve removal and another on the shackles I bought for my BDS lift. I'll see if I can find them and send you the links. JD
Cool... thanks! Lots been getn done last 2 months. I had too stop for a long time bc of money. But I'm back at it. Lift kit, brake lines, exhaust and drive lines....DONE!

Looking forward to see how the new brake system works. The brakes on my 81cj7 are new but god awful. See you on the trails somewhere in GA.
John Pavich sounds good John I will let you know. Thanks for the comment.
I used Inline Tube and they were also great quality. Installation in a couple areas was a pain though.
Both companies are great! I just finished putting in the rear lines and agree they are a pain in some places. Thanks for the comment and feedback!
Glad I watch your video about some hoedown Clips got mine off eBay just like the original fit 1970 Chevy trucks same for cj5's
Glad you liked the video! JD
I know it’s been years but did you ever find a clip set .? If so where ? If you can remember. Thanks

Great video, I'm stingy and want more.
Thanks Ed.
did you have a video of redoing your 4 brakes?
Unfortunately no! I should have but for some reason didn’t film it. Wish I would have! JD
Hey its Jeff. 79 Golden Eagle. Been awhile!! Did you move your proportioning valve bc of you headers??

Let us know how long it takes to install the new brake lines
