I have struggled with my fine hair all my life. I have recently moved from a humid climate to a dry one. I have been washing my hair less frequently and using dry shampoo. The difference in my hair is amazing. It feels so much healthier. If you can swing it I highly recommend. I wasn’t using hot tools on my hair all the time either in the humid climate. I’m stripping my hair if it’s natural oils less!
I have similar fine hair but it’s naturally wavy, so even a hint of humidity makes it a frizzy mess. I’ve spent countless amounts of money on both high end and drug store shampoos, but my current favourite is the Thickening formula by Hask. I was using Olaplex to combat some colour damage, but it started to make my hair oily once it was in better condition. Hask is much more affordable so that’s a bonus!
I have short, fine, hair and my goto shampoo is Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo. It gives me volume and makes my hair feel really soft.
Do you happen to have a video where you talk about the internal things you did for your hair that worked? I'm desperate at this point. Love your videos, Stephanie!
Stephanie, LOVE your eyeshadow combo & makeup looks beautiful!♥️ Needed this hair video because I live in NC which is also very humid & my hair is frizzy a lot if I don’t flat iron & I don’t like doing that as it’s damaging. Plus as I’ve colored my hair & highlighted it a lot my hair is a little dry! Thanks for this great video!! Your hair is always gorgeous!!💕💕💕
I grew up in Laplace, LA and the humidity was my enemy! My hair never looked good and the 90s didn't have the hair products we have now. I have been using Bondi Boost for a month and already notice my hair growing back (I had stress related hair loss on my forehead 😱). Thanks for recommending it!! I do find I have to wash twice because my hair is greasy if I don't, but overall I'm happy with it 🥰
I really enjoyed this video and have been looking for some ideas on products and tools for my hair. The texture of my hair is fine, but I have a lot of it, so it’s a challenge to find products that won’t weigh it down, but that give body & lift at the roots without looking/feeling sticky and overdone. I have looked at the iron you used to get a wavy look, but thought it would take too much work (it’s scary looking, too). I’d love to see a video of you styling your hair with it.
Thank you for this video! I have very fine hair and am noticing a little more thinning on the top. I live in Ohio and it is humid here as well. My hair doesn't frizz in the humidity, it gets weighed down and goes complete flat.
I also have fine hair, that started to thin in the last year, and wash my hair every day. I've personally found the Alpecin Shampoo from Germany has made a significant difference to my hair within the first month of using it, and I can now go 2 days without washing my hair if I really have to.
I'm so glad I finally found a great video for my exact hair. Thank you SOOOO much. I was having a hard time finding the right type of reviews for new recommendations for my virgin hair. I was stalemate. I trust you, I've been around for years.
Hair thinning and fall out...the internal “weapons” you've been using to fight/help it. A video on it, perhaps? Pleeease🙏🏻 I'm almost 47 and have noticed slower growth😔 won't even touch on the thinning and loss subject. Too painful.
I have a problem with hormonal hair loss due to menopause. After doing research I found that I needed to use products to remove the hormones DHT ( look it up) I've been using Paul Mitchell Tea Tree line, in particular the tea tree mint lavender shampoo, conditioner and leave in. Tea tree, mint and lavender all help to remove DHT. After about 6 months of using I went for hair trim and my hairdresser noticed lots of new growth and said whatever you're doing keep it up!
Maybe check out Skin Rocks on Instagram - Caroline Hirons did a series on peri-menopause/ menopause and there are a host of things that happen to our bodies with the reduction of hormones and one was hair thinning/loss. Very interesting and full of information. Just a thought.
I have a lot of hair, but it’s straight hair that doesn’t want to keep a wave or curl for too long, and when it’s humid, it’s just stick straight! Haven’t found a product yet to keep somewhat of a curl in humidity.
Great video Stephanie , I’m definitely going to try some of these products ! Please do tutorials on wet hair styling and dry hair styling ( second day)
A great video..some fantastic recommendations..thank you Stephanie! When I was young, my Mum used to put a tiny amount of white vinegar in the rinse water..she said it was to clear my scalp. I still use it every now and again xx
You do a great job with your hair and always thought it was naturally straight. I have naturally uneven wavy hair and will look into many of these products. The color is fabulous on you. Have a great week!
Great recommendations! I had a sample of the Caviar Blowout Butter that I tried once and didn’t like. After your video I dug it out and used a smaller amount than before. I actually love it!
Thank you so much for this video!! I also live in New Orleans and STRUGGLE with frizzy fine hair in this heat!! I’ve purchased some of the products you recommended and I can really tell a difference!! It’s so fun and exciting not to worry about what my hair will do the second I step outside!
I have almost the same hair type as you. I’m in KY so I understand humidity. I’d recommend you try Color Proof products. I’ve been impressed. I have Wet brushes everywhere: showers, pool bag, office desk, in car, in spare room where I get ready. I love them!
Thank you for this video! I have fine straight-ish hair and live in Houston, where it's also hot and humid. I took two pages of notes and can't wait to try some of these products. I'm also looking forward to your hair styling videos! Thanks so much for all of your videos. I love them!
Wow you sure know your hair products! Thanks for giving us all the deets. How do you store so many products so that you can put your hands on it when you need it?
I love the smell of the IGK Good Behavior, but unfortunately I had to give it to a friend’s daughter. It made my scalp and face itch. I was so sad. I thought it was a shampoo or conditioner, so I went back to my originals. Then did the process of elimination. I just ordered my Dyson blow dryer. I can’t wait to use it!!!!
Saw Dominique Sachse recommend the Healium leave in for her wavy frizzy hair. It works for me because its so conditioning that it smooths the frizz and gives lots of body.
Hi Stephanie, have you ever tried the DP Hue Apple Cider Rinse? I probably have finer hair than yours so I use a lot of volume drying products. I also get my hair colored & the DP Hue does not fade my color on my hair. I also like the DP Hue Hair mask plus it smells incredible 🤩. I use the Volume Moroccan Oil shampoo & Conditioner which I can’t be without .
I know I’m late to the game but I just have to say thank you! I have very fine hair and already use some of these products but there are many I’ve been curious about. Thanks for such a helpful and detailed video Stephanie!
Thank you so much for this. You and I have the same hair lol, I got a wave in my 40s and when I got to my 50s my wave at the back of my neck went completely curly, like cindy Brady curly and I have had completely straight hair all my life. Dont you love hormones 😂🤗💖💖💖
My hair and I have come to a tentative truce. I've recently been able to tame the frizz but the cowlicks are the bane of my existence and need heavy duty styling tools in order for me to win the battle. 😂
So understand the cowlick problem - I have one on each side of my centre part if I part my hair and I have to blow dry that area first or I’m hooped 😱🤣
How I would love for you to explain to my husband why I'm rotating shampoos and conditioners...Oh wait, I just have to make him watch this :) I live in South Carolina where it is hot or hotter/humid or more humid all year long - I wholeheartedly sympathize. Thank you for another great video! Right when it came out, I used the WOW product for anti frizz and it worked great. I havent used it in ages but I'm interested to try it again.
Very informative video. I will be 68 next month (September) and I have long, healthy, stylish hair. I take care of it and I a healthy head of hair starts with a healthy scalp. I’ve been taking biotin everyday for years. I truly believe in massaging your scalp when shampooing your hair (2nd shampoo) with a hair massager. I sleep on satin pillowcases. It does not have to be silk. My Revlon styling brush has a cool setting. Love Moroccan Oil and Oribe products. I have the Oribe texture and volumizing sprays.. I will take you up on the Bumble & Bumble Dry Oil Spray. Oh yes, I use Acure S & C available at Ulta and happened to see it at Whole Foods every 3rd or 4th shampoo to eliminate product build up Yes, use a Turkish toeer
I needed this video! Similar to you I live in NC which is humid and muggy in the summer! I have an oily scalp with Thinning hair that is straight! Therefore, I have to wash my hair every two days & use Aveda shampure in between washes. The original Batiste works but makes my scalp itch. Thanks for letting us know which products work best for you.
I too have really liked all of the IGK products I have tried, especially the texture spray. I recommend the Christophe Robin Purifying Scalp Scrub for occasional use to help with product build up. I look forward to trying the Kristin Ess air styling cream and the Moroccan Oil split end treatment- really enjoyed this video.
The Ouai spray is in their scent North Bondi!! I prefer their Melrose Place which is a beautiful strong Rose scent!!! It's in the Detox Shampoo and the Scalp and Body Scrub!!!
Yay!!! Thank you so much for doing this video. I have similar fine hair that can be oily except I have a lot of gray under my hair color. I also deal with humidity issues where I live too. I'm so looking forward to trying some of these products. Loved this video and am looking forward to your other hair vlogs or videos you mentioned :)
Love all your recommendations. I love Quai too and some of your others, but don't always use them regularly. I am in love with Colleen Rothschild Drench hair mask. And I use the Olaplex conditioner together with the CR drench mask. It has kept my hair healthy looking at least. I also have fine hair but it is extremely thick. Some don't realize that thick hair can be either fine or coarse. My daughter has coarse thick hair but mine is fine. It usually holds a nice bend after I blow dry it or curl or waves when I style it that way. It's been a chore to keep it frizz free this past year with our excess of rain and humidity. I don't know if it's because it grew like Rapunzel since the pandemic and I just now got a cut, but I miss my easily cared for hair that didn't need so much attention as it seems to now. Same as my eyelashes that won't hold a curl. My stylist recently used his Dyson hair dryer on me and I'm sold! It usually takes me 45 minutes to dry even if I air dry it some first. So this is going to be a game changer for me.
I think you’re trying to help me my sweaty face & now my thin fine hair 🤣🙏🏻🤦🏼♀️😘🥰 the product I can’t live without is the sally brand Generic volume building oil control & finishing spray it’s compared to Kenra brand hands down way better than the Kenra version
Loved this video! I am a hair product junkie with similar hair type. I already have a few products listed but just took a picture of your list so I’ll have it to refer to when I need to purchase and replenish my stock! Can’t wait to try these!!! Another great hair mask is the Colleen Rothschild one. Thanks so much, Stephanie!! Really enjoy your channel. Love seeing Luke sleeping on your bed! Sweet pup!
Omg I completely forgot about the Living Proof Amp product! I used to use that all the time when I had chin length hair. I need to repurchase that again! Kind of forgot about it while I was trying other products.
Enjoyed this video. Lots of great recommendations! My hair is like yours, except much shorter. I have a lot of hair but it's fine and color treated. My favorite higher end shampoo/conditioner is Briogeo Blossom and Bloom volumizing. Drugstore favorite: Hair Biology volumizing (Target). I LOVE my Dyson dryer. I gifted one to my daughter her first Christmas as a new mom. I wanted to give her the gift of Time which she needed a lot at that point in life. Favorite dry shampoo, IGK First Class. (I'd like to try the Kerastase). Favorite hairspray is Chi Royal Treatment Ultimate Control (creates volume, shine and control...great scent too). I used OUAI shampoo and conditioner once and gagged at the scent. It took a couple of shampooings to get rid of it too. I sent those back immediately! I use nothing to style my hair but the blow dryer and 2 sizes of round brushes. I feel lucky there.
I've been using the bondi boost shampoo & conditioner, i haven't noticed any new growth on my baby fine hair yet, fingers crossed though. Kristen Ess thickening spray is nice, and beauty pie volume boost.
That Ouai volume spray was so strong perfumey smelling that it was unusable for me!! I find it so strong and I’m not typically sensitive. I need to give it away.
Have your tried hair training? I used to wash my hair every day, but now I can wash twice a week and not look greasy! And L’ange has the best dry shampoo!
Oftentimes, Canada 🇨🇦 is behind with certain products that the USA Sephora has but Sephora Canada does carry. (There is no Ulta in Canada. Our Shoppers Drug Mart Cosmetics Boutique has many of the brands Ulta carries. For example, Shoppers Drug Mart carries Chanel makeup and fragrance. Having said that, we don’t have the Ouai volume spray. I would love to try that on my fine hair, too. I live in Edmonton, Alberta (Alberta is directly north of Montana), so we do have the West Edmonton Mall, which is the largest mall in North America. Some makeup/skincare brands have a storefront presence, like Kiehl’s and L’Occitane. I’ve tried the Alterna Blowout Butter-I love it!! I have fine hair, but lots of it.
One side of my hair is so much thinner than the other. It’s so bizarre! I know it’s normal to have a slight difference but I can see and feel a significant different in the fullness of my hair. I’ll have to try some of these.
When you said your house 🏡 didn’t have much insulation, I was thinking-Stephanie definitely doesn’t live in Canada 😂. We even have triple pane glass in our windows, courtesy of the former owners.
Hi Stephanie, I have been looking at and considering the Dyson hair dryer and am wondering how the stand alone hair dryer compares to the multi-tool set where it comes with the dryer and other tools. Do you know how the actual dryer compares to the dryer that comes in the set?
I'm starting to see more stylists and beauty channels with fine hair say they've noticed the Dyson hair dryer over dries their hair and contributes to frizz. For what that's worth to anyone on the fence.
I wonder how much they’ve played around with the settings. There are 3 speed and 4 heat settings to choose from. I use level 3 for both heat and speed. It’s so customizable, which is one of the reasons I enjoy it. I find I get less frizz with it than most other dryers I’ve used. :)
I rarely use the Revlon brush as it damages my her in a very, very bad way plus it’s so very LOUD it hurts my ears! It was too late to return when I realized it was damaging.
Ann, I have that hair tool and I know what you mean about the loudness. I use ear plugs when I use it! I also semi dry my hair first then finish with the Revlon brush. I find that works best for my thick curly hair. Maybe it might work for you.
Are we supposed to wash our hair every day? Mine doesn't look dirty for at least 10 days so I only wash it once a week. It's fine textured but I have a medium amount of it.
@@StephanieMarie my hair is very dry so maybe I will try wash it more often so that I can use a mask or something. Thank you for answering and thanks for the video x
EXCUSE ME, Ms. March! But did I hear your use of the word ‘nipple’ as a term of measurement for how much you use of one of your hair products? Because I now cannot stop laughing. 😂 is everyone’s nipple the same size? I mean I haven’t seen a whole lot of nipples other than my own but oh my gosh I still can’t stop laughing. I believe I will now use nipple as a way to measure things for the rest of my life. Thank you for this gift.
Ironic that u chose to make a hair-product vid on a day when yours is styled straight and just lying there. It's the way many of us with very fine, stick-straight hair wake up every day-- bemoaning our genetic fate. Admittedly, u covered a bunch of hair care products. Also, unlike us, u are slightly wavy, so playing with styling tools may give u some + feedback; i.e., the style may stay a little longer than ours. So I go with Mother Nature. She says straight and fine, so I found a stylist who knows how to cut/style fine, straight hair (in humid, windy weather). Wash, condition, towel dry. Trick is to have her cut it perfectly every 4 weeks.

Hallelujah! A video on hair products and tips😃😃😃😃 I love everything hair-related! Thank you!
I have short, fine, hair and my goto shampoo is
Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Lemon Sage Thickening Shampoo. It gives me volume and makes my hair feel really soft.
Clogging nozzles, ugh, so annoying, glad you mentioned. Great video! I have fine curly hair and I will definitely try some of these products.
Yes, yes, yes!!! Bondi Boost is amazing!!!!! I felt like it was my last hope and I have had amazing success with it!!! Give them ALL the attention!!!
Do you happen to have a video where you talk about the internal things you did for your hair that worked? I'm desperate at this point.
Love your videos, Stephanie!
This was really an exceptional video. Thank you!
Stephanie, LOVE your eyeshadow combo & makeup looks beautiful!♥️
Needed this hair video because I live in NC which is also very humid & my hair is frizzy a lot if I don’t flat iron & I don’t like doing that as it’s damaging.
I just ordered my t3 iron set. Tired of unplugging various irons for different looks… so excited!
GREAT Stephanie!! I CANT WAIT TO SEE YOUR HAIR TUTORIALS!!!♥️♥️♥️
Love your hair videos. I have very fine thinning hair. I would love to see an air dry hair video. Because I also would love to air dry my hair more!
The best honest beauty youtuber ever!!
Thank you for this video! I have very fine hair and am noticing a little more thinning on the top. I live in Ohio and it is humid here as well. My hair doesn't frizz in the humidity, it gets weighed down and goes complete flat.
Yay brilliant video Steph! I have very fine hair that has now decided to go frizzy!
Oh my gosh. I needed this THANK YOU 🙏
Hair thinning and fall out...the internal “weapons” you've been using to fight/help it. A video on it, perhaps? Pleeease🙏🏻 I'm almost 47 and have noticed slower growth😔 won't even touch on the thinning and loss subject. Too painful.
I have a problem with hormonal hair loss due to menopause. After doing research I found that I needed to use products to remove the hormones DHT ( look it up)
I've been using Paul Mitchell Tea Tree line, in particular the tea tree mint lavender shampoo, conditioner and leave in.
I would go to the doctor to have him/her do blood tests for hormone deficiency. One of the symptoms of low thyroid is thinning hair.
There is a cool setting on the Revlon.
Catching up on all your hair videos. I like these a lot!!
Please do tutorials on wet hair styling and dry hair styling ( second day)
Thank you. I just ordered the living proof amp to try it.
Great video Stephanie! I'm going to try the bondi shampoo!!
There is a cool setting on the Revlon stlyler/dryer.
Thanks lots of good suggestions.
I keep in mind the caviar because i also have curly, frizzy hair with humidity. Have great week.
Great recommendations! I had a sample of the Caviar Blowout Butter that I tried once and didn’t like. After your video I dug it out and used a smaller amount than before. I actually love it!
Yesss! Just try a little less! Love the stuff! Thank you!
Thank you so much for this video!! I also live in New Orleans and STRUGGLE with frizzy fine hair in this heat!! I’ve purchased some of the products you recommended and I can really tell a difference!! It’s so fun and exciting not to worry about what my hair will do the second I step outside!
It was great to hear your recommendations! I have tons of products iv tried that haven't worked! Thank you😁I'll give a few of these a shot
I have almost the same hair type as you. I’m in KY so I understand humidity. I’d recommend you try Color Proof products. I’ve been impressed. I have Wet brushes everywhere: showers, pool bag, office desk, in car, in spare room where I get ready. I love them!
I use the Dove sented "or not" dry shampoo and it does wonders for my hair for at least two days, if need be, but usually wash my hair the day after.
Thank you for this video! I have fine straight-ish hair and live in Houston, where it's also hot and humid. I took two pages of notes and can't wait to try some of these products. I'm also looking forward to your hair styling videos! Thanks so much for all of your videos. I love them!
That's so funny. I was thinking I need to rewatch and take notes!
Very helpful-similar hair, similar environment!
Wow you sure know your hair products! Thanks for giving us all the deets. How do you store so many products so that you can put your hands on it when you need it?
Girl I thought I was the only one with hair like that!
These are great tips for anyone looking to add some volume to their hair! Definitely interested in the Kristin Ess air dry cream.
Awesome video!!!
I really like using the Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser Invisible Oil on my hair before blow drying
The revlon does have a cool setting
Very helpful. Thanks.
Saw Dominique Sachse recommend the Healium leave in for her wavy frizzy hair. It works for me because its so conditioning that it smooths the frizz and gives lots of body.

Me too!! Hormones have SUCH a lot to answer for 😉
Great video!!! Very informative!! Thank u!!
Thanks for the recommendations. I live in east Texas so experience the same weather. I’m sick of having frizzy hair so going to try some of these.

I use nothing to style my hair but the blow dryer and 2 sizes of round brushes. I feel lucky there.
Can you show us a natural wavy/curly look without using the wave hot tool?
Hi I highly recommend bondi hair mask it’s helping restore my hair where I was given no2 olapex and it damaged my hair
I have fine hair but I have lots of hair. Hope I find some goodies in this video
I've been using the bondi boost shampoo & conditioner, i haven't noticed any new growth on my baby fine hair yet, fingers crossed though. Kristen Ess thickening spray is nice, and beauty pie volume boost.
It takes some time! 👍🏼💖
I have. 💖
Would love to see some affordable dupes. The majority of these are very pricey. Even the “affordable” Kristen Ess hairspray is $14 for only 6 oz.
Love your videos....does your hair tangle?
I live in Canada and the sephora near me carries Ouai volume spray, I don’t ever see it online either
When you use the air dry creme do you use any other products first?
I ordered the OUAI, its part of the Nordstrom’s sale,
One side of my hair is so much thinner than the other. It’s so bizarre! I know it’s normal to have a slight difference but I can see and feel a significant different in the fullness of my hair. I’ll have to try some of these.
I hope this helps! 💖
Kristen Ess is awesome and I hate dry shampoo cause of the ingredients . Alcohol and propane! Eeekk
When you said your house 🏡 didn’t have much insulation, I was thinking-Stephanie definitely doesn’t live in Canada 😂. We even have triple pane glass in our windows, courtesy of the former owners.
New houses do bc of the extreme heat here. This is an older rental. 🥵
Hi! Are you taking any supplements for hair growth? Or are there any that you recommend? My hair is falling out dramatically 😢
Not at the moment - just using Bondi Boost and taking vitamins. In the past I’ve had success with Kerahealth.
Stephanie, this is not about hair but I wanted to know if you use a power with the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. Thanks.
Hi Stephanie,
I have been looking at and considering the Dyson hair dryer and am wondering how the stand alone hair dryer compares to the multi-tool set where it comes with the dryer and other tools. Do you know how the actual dryer compares to the dryer that comes in the set?
@Stephanie Marie do you use the Ouai volume spray on the roots when you air dry? TIA! ❤️
Have you tried Joico Humidity Blocker heat protectant and they have a hair spray too. I live in Arkansas where it’s always humid too!
I haven’t. Thanks for the rec!
@@sharonperry8978 I do the same, let it air dry to about 80-85%
Have you tried the dyson air wrap?
Not yet but I’m starting to cave on wanting it!
I am 40 and my hair is thinning in the front. What internal products did you take that you said helped really well? Please share.. I’m desperate
Kerahealth. But I’m seeing good results with Bondi Boost in the front :)
Does the bondi boost dry out your hair? How often do you switch out your shampoos?
Not at all. Just whenever I feel like it 💖
I love oribe it's just so expensive 🙁
Are we supposed to wash our hair every day? Mine doesn't look dirty for at least 10 days so I only wash it once a week. It's fine textured but I have a medium amount of it.
No. You do what works for you.
@@StephanieMarie my hair is very dry so maybe I will try wash it more often so that I can use a mask or something. Thank you for answering and thanks for the video x
EXCUSE ME, Ms. March! But did I hear
your use of the word ‘nipple’ as a term of measurement for how much you use of one of your hair products? Because I now cannot stop laughing. 😂 is everyone’s nipple the same size? I mean I haven’t seen a whole lot of nipples other than my own but oh my gosh I still can’t stop laughing. I believe I will now use nipple as a way to measure things for the rest of my life. Thank you for this gift.
Samantha March is a different person 😆 I said “nickel” 🤣 But I’m glad the mixup made you laugh! 🤣🥰
Omg- I know your name but I was so flummoxed! AND THANK YOU! Because nipple size is subjective and nickel is a much better form of measurement! 😳🙄
