Just basically a preset by chassis companies. This effects not only the camber but amount of cross a chassis is capable of. When to change it is a question I’m not well versed in. I’ve always ran what comes stock. I’m knowledgeable but some stuff is pretty techy even for me. Lol.
There are some that build their karts from other manufacturers components. I’d say most of the big companies make their own. Not positive on who has what though.
is it just me or does it look like the kingpin washers look like they're glued or Loc-Tited together @10:46. I have a bunch of 3/8" ID (.060" thick) washers on my Phantom Banshee chassis and it's hard to not lose a washer when you have to take one or more washers off the bottom and put on the top for a cross adjustment
I guess I’ve never heard that term. But I assume 2 washers on top LF, two washers bottom RF would give someone almost max cross in the kart. That really depends on what the kart needs and not universal. Imo.
Isnt it funny how so many people do different stuff..a friend of mine runs a charger he dont move washers at all.runs 62 ls 63 cross and does his adjustments with tires,he wins some money around here too.he runs box stock and clone tho.i run open and outlaw class have a ital 116 a 250 and a animal stroker.ive really slowed down in last few yrs tho our kart counts are horrible man.thats only reason i bought the animal
Thanks great job
Thank You so much.
I also think you should do a video on kart stands I’ve seen some really good homemade stands and everyone uses them
That’s a good idea.
What is the reason for a 15',10',5' degree spindle and what would be the use for and/or when would you know when to change this???

Thanks for the reply, like the honesty that's why my son and I follow your post.. keep them coming, good content
Awesome information, have you ever done or know how to figure out compression ratio or cylinder head flow? If not would be a great video.
I have not. I’m not much of a specialist when it comes to internals of engines. Maybe someday.
@@kart6t3_ben I'm not either, just have a carb I'm trying to dial in. Thanks for your videos, very helpful
@@scmafia7515 thanks for watching. Carbs are a fickle thing sometimes. Lol.
@@kart6t3_ben especially a mikuni
Thanks for the great videos, Ben.
What do you run for toe at dirt tracks?
Toe in, or out?
Off the RF or LF?
Manufacture recommendations. Currently 1/16” toe out RF. But I’ve run 1/8 LF before.
I know you did videos on tire stagger. I wish you could more in depth on it.
I can try. 👍
Are spindles chassis specific or universal?

Do I need a specific size spindle
LF is usually 5/8”. The RF is a blend of 3/4 inside 5/8” outside on modern karts. Bit depends on manufacturer.
Who replaced roczen at Honda
Colt Nicols from Star Yamaha.
How to puthub on spindle
Made a short for ya. Hope that helps.

That’s just grease and not moving those particular washers I’m sure.
Do u run the 2-bottom 2-top setup.ive heard so many people say such different stuff on the front end setups.

@@kart6t3_ben these phantom guys in ky thats what they use to keep rake in chassis it was something on the triton phantom went by
