Hello, teacher. I encountered a difficulty using the Illustrate process. Every time I use Illustrate to open a PDF file, there are only two options on the color palette: one is to cancel the color, and the other is to set the color. I wonder if it is possible to add all the default printing color palettes from the color palette library menu to the current document's color palette through a script?
No script needed. It's easy to restore any default swatch library. Search UA-cam for "illustrator import default swatches". There are multiple videos explaining how to do it.
@@wc7 Ok, thanks. I have checked, and I know how to use the method introduced by UA-cam, but sometimes there are too many files to open, so it is a little tedious to operate each file in this way. Once an operation, I need to find and click related buttons for about 7 or 8 times. If the script can be implemented, I can click 2 times and finish it, which is repetitive and meaningless. This is where script efficiency comes in. Hey, hey, I'm just saying.
@@fysun5837 Browsing the scripting docs, I can't see any easy way to open a swatch library and add its swatches. Could probably figure out a way to do it one swatch at a time, maybe, with many hours trial and error that I don't have to spare at the moment. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful.
@@wc7 It doesn't matter, keep the change, teacher hard work. The problem should be thrown back to the illustrate development team to fix in some future release. All files should be opened with the printable artboard color loaded by default, which is probably something the software hasn't thought through.
@@fysun5837 The app works just as it is supposed to. I'd scream more if every time I opened an Illustrator document all the unused colors I removed were added back. Nothing about Illustrator needs to change in my opinion. Any default color libraries are always available and can be added to the document swatch list if desired. If that list changed on its own I would be infuriated.
