that happens with everyone, a lot of the underground artists i started listening to years ago are now popping off when back then everyone was saying it was "underground trash"
I always wanted to learn about creating music and this kind of stuff.. I knew literally nothing about it... This video helped me alot cuz u make it so easy. Thank you !!
dude your really helping me learn to make music I've been stuck in a rut not knowing how to express myself through music and you've really been helping
It’s really amazing to see someone make other beat tutorials than just the usual ones. Would love to see a Frank Ocean ‘Blond’ tutorial and a ‘Channel Orange’ one as well. MGMT, Empire Of The Sun, M83 and The 1975 would be absolute tutorial bangers mate. Keep it up. Loving the content 🔥
I saw this on my recommended this morning and so glad I clicked. I've been trying to get into Ableton during this quarantine period but those shortcuts man! Sooooo useful! Defs got a subscriber here!!
Xole, you really make quality work man. Keep killing it and the masses will catch on soon enough. I think it’s criminal that your channel isn’t way larger.
each time I watch a tutorial about making beats, I get somewhat better. this video was extremely helpful though !!! imma try to use mallets more. thanks :) edit: oh and what you did with the vocals when you doubled your voice, that was helpful tooooo XD ! thanks bruh !
This sounds so much like Public Library Commute! I've actually been searching far and wide for a tutorial of his music but no avail lol . Thank you for this Xole . Subscribed!
I’ve been making music for a few years now and I can tell this guy knows what he’s doing. Great video. Hopefully someday people will listen to my music too! 💕
just came across this on my recommended and it’s just what I needed, tbh. I already make music and I have a producer and all, but wanted to get into doing stuff for myself a bit as well, and know how to get ideas across and all. your explanations are really good and so’s the stuff you’re making
I stumbled upon your video and later wanted to come back to watch your other stuff. When I typed xole in the search bar your channel didn't show up ( a lot of guys named cole did), it might slow your growth a little bit, thought you should know. That aside, I really like your content, super helpful!
I put delay and reverb on my basses all the time. Just do it on a send channel/bus and use an EQ to cut out the lows on the delay/reverb and no one will know!
Thank you very much for your great content! it helps me a lot :D i just created this channel and i decided to make bedroom pop but with some hip hop drums haha hope it works out well Thanks again ^__^
What I would like to know is if you were to recreate this song live, how would you do the vocals? Can Ableton remember your vocal effects and auto apply this sound filter if you sing into a microphone live? Thanks
this was very helpful and our songs went from sounding pretty similar to different completely im hoping for it to release with an album in a couple of months
comment an artist you want to see me cover next! i reply to all comments :)
steve lacy!
Frank Ocean
Kasbo
The blaze
second suggestion for steve lacy!
I tought it was a decoration type of video, how to make a bedroom POP, but music production is just as fun
hahaha sorry to disappoint. might make a part 2 where i decorate my room
@@xole hahah count me in
this is the best comment i have ever seen, xole please decorate your room
If you don't know bedroom pop is basically indie rock but everything is made in a daw as far as drums
music production sucks
first rule is make everything lowercase.
this is essential
@@xole or make everything uppercase, like SALES or HOMESHAKE lmao
yes
Add a pinch of depression
With every letter s p a c e d
i remember that i would listen to girl in red and clairo when they were still really small and ppl made fun of me but now they’re TrEnDy and AeStHeTiC
lolol bedroom pop is going mainstream pretty fast :///
Y2K-ratchet Irl honesty
too acurate
for real bruh
that happens with everyone, a lot of the underground artists i started listening to years ago are now popping off when back then everyone was saying it was "underground trash"
Can I still make bedroom pop if i'm homeless
**SHD has crashed the server**
*xole.exe has stopped working*
@Hana Street pop, with the barking of dogs and rampant sound of traffic and all
B o x P o p
That’s when the best bedroom pop is made
bro real talk, this man had CLEARLY enjoyed quarantine. YA MANS IS HIGH AF!!!!!
Dinesh Karunanithy deadass!!!
LUCKY HIM. I've run out...I'm never gonna take weed for granted ever again. Being high is brilliant.
Nah deadass b😂
Ik ahahajaha
With how productive he seemed in this video, he must have had some good sativa.
I make “shared-bedroom pop” because I don’t have my own room...
hmmm. might have to be my next vid
THIS
Bro don’t even think about the “you’re not supposed to do this” be creative
facts :))
no rules only tools
Bro u should make music on stream i think a lot of ppl would enjoy it
might have to 👀👀
Agreed
AGREED
Kenny beats does that and it is pretty fun to watch tbh
I always wanted to learn about creating music and this kind of stuff.. I knew literally nothing about it... This video helped me alot cuz u make it so easy. Thank you !!
no problem! so glad this video helps you out :)))
dude your really helping me learn to make music I've been stuck in a rut not knowing how to express myself through music and you've really been helping
i'm really happy to hear that 🙏🏻
thanks for saying that!
1) JAWNNY
2) Gus dapperton
3) BENEE
4) REI AMI
5) Still woozy
wow thanks so much for all of these suggestions caliber!
JAWNNY and still woozy yes. Gus is good but not that good. Benee eh. Haven’t heard the other one
I've been working with Ableton for years and never knew the "command+Shift+Down" to drop an octave or Up to move up. New subscriber :)
thanks so much for the sub :))
just "shift + down" is all you need. Another dope one is holding command and pulling down on a note lets you change the velocity
even using x and z !! x brings octave down n x brings octave up
cavetown and/or girl in red!
sixth suggestion for cavetown and third for girl in red! thx for the suggestions :)
cavetown basicly explains how he makes his music himself. Check out his youtube
@@44fourprod that's facts! his vids are high quality and original too
yess

I second MGMT
Blond is so diverse though, but there's definitely a color
That would b sick
So smooth man, wasn’t expecting those vocals! 😰😰
:))
You’re really great at breaking it down for beginners like me. Including the key shortcuts too. One of the most helpful tutorials I’ve seen yet
"now im gonna record some vocals... theyre not gonna be good" he says, but theyre literally great
that's so nice of you :)
thanks so much!
This beat goes hard. A proper artist and mix on this will do wonders.

I think it’s criminal that your channel isn’t way larger.
thanks so much this means a lot! ima keep putting these vids out no matter what
You’re actually so good at the explanation

each time I watch a tutorial about making beats, I get somewhat better. this video was extremely helpful though !!! imma try to use mallets more. thanks :)

Bells and mallets are like the top tier sounds for chill beats.
