Skar king is a very good villain character, a kaiju designed to be hated and I love him for it. He's straight up a bully and more smug, he threw another great ape into the Lava when he least expected it as if that great ape was expendable to him and he sees everyone as that.
Now that Skar King's dead, Kong is now King of the Hollow Earth. Which means he'll his people to a new age of peace, and he'll teach the Apes on how to hunt, fight and protect themselves and their children. He'll probably do the same to Suko, with Shimo as Suko's adoptive mother and protector.
Kong liberated his people from the grasp of the scar king, but all the pain and torture that the skar king put them through will still hunt their souls

Rape, Sexual Slavery and Forced Breeding: He keeps a harem of females all to himself, solely to bear new soldiers for his army. 5. Child Abuse and Attempted Filicide: Suko is his son and Skar King was clearly ready to harm and later on kill him for siding with Kong. 6. Animal Abuse: He forced Shimo to be his personal attack dog and controls her with pain. 7. Attempted Regicide: Tried to kill Godzilla and take his place as Alpha of the Surface World, essentially starting the war between the Gojira’s and the Great Apes.
Ghidorah and Kraken are indeed extremely cruel, but i still think Skar King is more, he does what he does for enjoyment, it's an endless torture on HIS OWN people for eons.
I do think that skar king is the most evil out of all the villains in the MV. Cause the mutos only wanted to reproduce, its just that if they did, they'd end the world. i really enjoyed the way they portrayed the skar king. They could have just gone down the route of massive threat whos super powerful but instead, they went down the route of smart, cunning, and disturbed. He doesn't even say anything but the way he acts and his expressions are just straight-up disturbing he reminds me of the Joker in the way that his actions are very very abnormal and twisted. The best example of this is when he laughs at Kong's fake tooth and then proceeds to kick one of his very own followers into lava within the space of 5 minutes it's exactly like the Joker unpredictable and erratic.
In terms of personality, The Skar King is to the MV what Destoroyah was to the Heisei Era. True evil in it's purest form. The best MV villain to date IMO, and it isn't even close. This mf was a PSYCHOPATH.

I want a prequel movie on how Skar King rose to power, how he imprisoned Shimo and why/what was he forcing those apes to work on the caves for? Perhaps his lifespan being linked to that unique glowing eyes of his. With SpaceGodzilla being the main enemy as the "Godzilla who ate a star".
The way I see it, Skar King is far worse than Koba. Skar King has been a sadistic tyrant to the Great Apes for God knows how many centuries. Koba became an oppressive warlord for a short time. But if he'd truly won by killing Caesar for good, I can imagine Koba slowly becoming like Skar King as he would rule the Apes with an iron fist.
Koba was one of Caesar's most loyal followers and friends and only went off the deep end because of the human question. Scar King was apparently evil from the beginning. I, too, made the comparison between the two.
What i would love to see in the future is what if skar king DID have some loyalists. Imagine a female ape who believed that he was the rightful ruler and sired 1-2 of his children, but when kong assumed power she fled with them and raised them to take back the kongs in his name. So then a older kong and young adult suko need to defend their home against 3 ape titans fueled with pure hatred.
I doubt they can survive alone in hollow earth. The female don't have any combat capabilities as they kept in cave by skar king and the baby isn't just strong enough to defend themselves. And by the time they became adults, Kong will become stronger. Don't forget that shimo is basically now Kong pet.
@ramaroy2408 true but kong survived alone for 3 years, all they have to do is keep out of danger and create weapons which we know the kong species can. Their only major obstacle would be kongs strength and shimo but they could always invent another monster that can knock out other monsters with venom and have the antagonist use it on shimo to keep her at least out of the fight. But I think it would be a fun concept to explore and it gives skar king a lingering presence over the kong species since his rein was very oppressive

And finding something stronger than freaking alpha titan is really hard, not to forget there is no real way to control them unlike shimo. Making weapons mean nothing when the only thing you know is getting railed by skar king all your life. You need combat experience on top of protecting the kids. Their Chance for rebellion is practically zero. Kong will also train the other apes. And this time all the apes will be well feed.

Amazing video. Skar King is an excellent villain, he's pure, raw cruelty, egocentric and menacing. We may have seen him older, not in his prime , but that doesn't mean he's not a terrible Kaiju in the present. Besides, he still could put a good fight to whoever intended to defy him, plus he's super agile and strong too, and smart enough to have his whipslash tied to him always. The fact that he fought Godzilla and survived speaks volumes of his combat skills, and with Shimo under his control, he truly was a terrifying monster. Comparing him to Ghidorah in terms of power sounds unfair, but regarding evilness, I think he's equally or maybe a bit worse than the 3 headed king. However, Ghidorah was like that because of his nature, Skar King somehow developed that attitude, or maybe was born like that.

I have some theories about it, but I guess that the ones that kinda make sense are these: Skar King was like this since he was born, and his behavior escalated to this point in which he wanted the total domination of the world, or maybe, after his 1st attempt of expansion in which he was defeated and trapped in the Hollow Earth by Godzilla, he slowly started to get more and more psycho to the point of enslaving and even m*rdering his own kind in order to one day make another attempt. He also wanted to take over the world and obviously spread his empire, it also states in a novel that skar king started the titan war, and the titan war almost KILLED Godzilla (also stated in the novel), I’m not sure if this makes him more evil, but I would like to mention that Kong’s parents fled from his rule. I’m not sure if they actually lived with him in the hollow Earth, but if they did, they fled to skull Island and they didn’t swim there or else they would’ve drowned so they possibly went through the the hollow earth, went to skull Island, gave birth to Kong and died, so I don’t know if it’s safe to say this, but skar king might be the reason Kong grew up in skull Island, if Kong‘s parents didn’t run away then Kong would’ve grown up to be one of many slaves.
Scar kings end reminds me of that old Mortal Kombat movie from the 90’s where Sub Zero fraught the Gaurd and froze him from the neck down, then made him shatter to pieces on impact. 😮
I've heard it said if you are incapable of cruelty you are ABSOLUTELY vulnerable to anyone who has no problem with it. I tak this as meaning that if you can't inflict the cruelty of defending yourself against someone inflicting actual cruelty on you, you'll find yourself in an undesirable position. Tyrants walk a tight rope where even one misstep can send them plummeting to their doom. Every tyrant lives in constant of fear of the people the oppress, becuz, ultimately, whether they're willing to admit it or not, deep down they know that the people could stand together and overthrow the tyrant. This is why tyranny often involves the infliction of fear and pain and death and suffering, becuz for tyrants, fear is what keeps their subjects in line, along with perhaps a sprinkle of hope for a select few who prove themselves useful and/or loyal even tho that loyalty is rarely returned by the tyrant, if ever or at all. The Scar King oppressing the great apes by keeping them starved and weak and claiming the females (their majority or entirety) as his own harem is another display of his power over the rest of them. This would indicate that Suko is not only the Scar King's slave, but also his own son, and he has no qualms subjecting his own offspring to suffering and pain, such as when he punished Suko for leading Kong to them... by pushing Suko's mother into the lava, a monstrous and despicable act of cruelty and confirmation that the Scar King is completely devoid of anything resembling love, kindness, or compassion, that even his offspring are nothing more than slaves to him and that his harem mean nothing to him The Scar King dug his own grave in his depraved oppression of his own kind, that it's no wonder that once a more worthy candidate for leadership came along the rest of the apes did not hesitate to side with Kong becuz they were certain there was no way he could be any worse than the ape who had made their lives a living nightmare for ages on end, and Kong proved himself a better leader than the Scar King in every way
I don't know if Skar King is necessarily more evil than Ghidorah but i find him to be much more hateable than Ghidorah. He's not just evil, he also goes out of his way to be a colossal asshole to everyone he meets. And like all bullies, he's ultimately a coward who buckles whenever he goes against someone both willing and able to stand up to him. There's also all the implied rape and abuse he does to his owm family. He's probably my favorite villain in the monsterverse to date though.

My question is, why does Skar King look so different from the rest of the Kongs? He has red-fur, long lanky limbs, pale skin & lacks a Gorilla-like sagittal crest seen on the Alpha Kongs. And if Suko is a hybrid, it means outside of the fur-color the base-Kong traits seem to be dominate. With Suko having more traits shared with Kong than Skar King...
He looks different because he is different. Skar is not a gorilla but a red haired chimpanzee. He rules through fear just like chimpanzee society. Whereas gorillas are peaceful.

I originally compared his relationship with Shimo to Supreme and The End from Sonic Frontiers, but it turned out to actually be more like the relationship between Dr. Eggman and the Deadly Six from Sonic Lost World.
When I seen the movie it was awesome btw but when he literally pushed the ape that was taking care of SUKO in the lava I lost it I was raging mad and I was glad to what happened to that tyrant in the end of the movie because he deserved it. I really really hate him.

King Kong being able to eat as much as he wanted wasn’t the only reason he’s bigger than the other gorillas. His parents were the most powerful of his tribe on skull island. So when they birthed Kong it was natural selection because of the years of fighting skull crawlers. So Kong became the ultimate member of his species being born from the deadliest male and female gorilla. Kong is a perfectly bred member of his kind.

The way I see it, Skar King is far worse than Koba. Skar King has been a sadistic tyrant to the Great Apes for God knows how many centuries. Koba became an oppressive warlord for a short time. But if he'd truly won by killing Caesar for good, I can imagine Koba slowly becoming like Skar King as he would rule the Apes with an iron fist.

What i would love to see in the future is what if skar king DID have some loyalists. Imagine a female ape who believed that he was the rightful ruler and sired 1-2 of his children, but when kong assumed power she fled with them and raised them to take back the kongs in his name. So then a older kong and young adult suko need to defend their home against 3 ape titans fueled with pure hatred.
I doubt they can survive alone in hollow earth. The female don't have any combat capabilities as they kept in cave by skar king and the baby isn't just strong enough to defend themselves.
And by the time they became adults, Kong will become stronger. Don't forget that shimo is basically now Kong pet.
@ramaroy2408 true but kong survived alone for 3 years, all they have to do is keep out of danger and create weapons which we know the kong species can. Their only major obstacle would be kongs strength and shimo but they could always invent another monster that can knock out other monsters with venom and have the antagonist use it on shimo to keep her at least out of the fight. But I think it would be a fun concept to explore and it gives skar king a lingering presence over the kong species since his rein was very oppressive

Making weapons mean nothing when the only thing you know is getting railed by skar king all your life. You need combat experience on top of protecting the kids. Their Chance for rebellion is practically zero. Kong will also train the other apes. And this time all the apes will be well feed.
@ramaroy2408 true as well it would take a lot of figuring out to make such an idea work but we have seen his species be very resilient so I can still see a possibility of it happening, and as for the titan with venom it doesn't have to be another alpha titan, just one with venom strong enough to put shimo out of the fight to even the playing field. Plus I really just want another villian for kong that's an ape but a physical equel to him rather than how skar king was and that was more of a battle based on their worldviews with kong being one for peace but skars being war and oppression

Amazing video. Skar King is an excellent villain, he's pure, raw cruelty, egocentric and menacing. We may have seen him older, not in his prime , but that doesn't mean he's not a terrible Kaiju in the present. Besides, he still could put a good fight to whoever intended to defy him, plus he's super agile and strong too, and smart enough to have his whipslash tied to him always. The fact that he fought Godzilla and survived speaks volumes of his combat skills, and with Shimo under his control, he truly was a terrifying monster. Comparing him to Ghidorah in terms of power sounds unfair, but regarding evilness, I think he's equally or maybe a bit worse than the 3 headed king. However, Ghidorah was like that because of his nature, Skar King somehow developed that attitude, or maybe was born like that.

I have some theories about it, but I guess that the ones that kinda make sense are these: Skar King was like this since he was born, and his behavior escalated to this point in which he wanted the total domination of the world, or maybe, after his 1st attempt of expansion in which he was defeated and trapped in the Hollow Earth by Godzilla, he slowly started to get more and more psycho to the point of enslaving and even m*rdering his own kind in order to one day make another attempt. Whatever the case, I feel like he was always like this, and whether or not something triggered him he would end up trying to conquer everything anyways.

Let me explain why skar king is more evil than ghidorah, obviously ghidorah wanted to screw the world and the titans to his own liking, but scar king took control of an entire species like ghidorah except way more, probably raped the females and made it so only his offspring could live instead of the Kong offspring, and enslaved the Titan that started the Ice Age. He also wanted to take over the world and obviously spread his empire, it also states in a novel that skar king started the titan war, and the titan war almost KILLED Godzilla (also stated in the novel), I’m not sure if this makes him more evil, but I would like to mention that Kong’s parents fled from his rule. I’m not sure if they actually lived with him in the hollow Earth, but if they did, they fled to skull Island and they didn’t swim there or else they would’ve drowned so they possibly went through the the hollow earth, went to skull Island, gave birth to Kong and died, so I don’t know if it’s safe to say this, but skar king might be the reason Kong grew up in skull Island, if Kong‘s parents didn’t run away then Kong would’ve grown up to be one of many slaves.

Tyrants walk a tight rope where even one misstep can send them plummeting to their doom. Every tyrant lives in constant of fear of the people the oppress, becuz, ultimately, whether they're willing to admit it or not, deep down they know that the people could stand together and overthrow the tyrant. This is why tyranny often involves the infliction of fear and pain and death and suffering, becuz for tyrants, fear is what keeps their subjects in line, along with perhaps a sprinkle of hope for a select few who prove themselves useful and/or loyal even tho that loyalty is rarely returned by the tyrant, if ever or at all.
The Scar King oppressing the great apes by keeping them starved and weak and claiming the females (their majority or entirety) as his own harem is another display of his power over the rest of them.
This would indicate that Suko is not only the Scar King's slave, but also his own son, and he has no qualms subjecting his own offspring to suffering and pain, such as when he punished Suko for leading Kong to them... by pushing Suko's mother into the lava, a monstrous and despicable act of cruelty and confirmation that the Scar King is completely devoid of anything resembling love, kindness, or compassion, that even his offspring are nothing more than slaves to him and that his harem mean nothing to him
The Scar King dug his own grave in his depraved oppression of his own kind, that it's no wonder that once a more worthy candidate for leadership came along the rest of the apes did not hesitate to side with Kong becuz they were certain there was no way he could be any worse than the ape who had made their lives a living nightmare for ages on end, and Kong proved himself a better leader than the Scar King in every way

I don't know if Skar King is necessarily more evil than Ghidorah but i find him to be much more hateable than Ghidorah. He's not just evil, he also goes out of his way to be a colossal asshole to everyone he meets. And like all bullies, he's ultimately a coward who buckles whenever he goes against someone both willing and able to stand up to him. There's also all the implied rape and abuse he does to his owm family. He's probably my favorite villain in the monsterverse to date though.

And if Suko is a hybrid, it means outside of the fur-color the base-Kong traits seem to be dominate. With Suko having more traits shared with Kong than Skar King...
He looks different because he is different. Skar is not a gorilla but a red haired chimpanzee. He rules through fear just like chimpanzee society. Whereas gorillas are peaceful.

This character was a let down. Barely an inconvenience in the final battle.
I originally compared his relationship with Shimo to Supreme and The End from Sonic Frontiers, but it turned out to actually be more like the relationship between Dr. Eggman and the Deadly Six from Sonic Lost World.
When I seen the movie it was awesome btw but when he literally pushed the ape that was taking care of SUKO in the lava I lost it I was raging mad and I was glad to what happened to that tyrant in the end of the movie because he deserved it. I really really hate him.

Ghidora was evil, true. But only to the extent that he wanted to change the world to what it used to be eons ago. He was a true menace, but he never systematically ruled and abused his subjects.
The fact Skar King doesn't let anyone else under his will get laid imo makes him WAAYYY more evil than King Ghidorah. Ghidorah is more powerful and could end the world but if i had to choose between dying coz of the end of the world or being underfed and forced to be a slave and to never be allowed to get laid, yeah I'd rather have ghidorah have his way honestly

King Kong being able to eat as much as he wanted wasn’t the only reason he’s bigger than the other gorillas. His parents were the most powerful of his tribe on skull island. So when they birthed Kong it was natural selection because of the years of fighting skull crawlers. So Kong became the ultimate member of his species being born from the deadliest male and female gorilla. Kong is a perfectly bred member of his kind.
