The dirty secret they're not telling you is that heavy rust requires mechanical abrasion first, and sometimes even after laser cleaning. The plasma produced by the laser converts the surface of heavier rust into an unknown grey material (carbon probably), but if you scrape it mechanically, you'll find rust underneath. I know this first hand.

Like the idea but the hand held part needs to be smaller and lighter, the guy using it appears to be struggling.

Thank you for the feedback! We are proud to say that we have upgraded the scanhead to be lighter and smaller for ease of use and added portability. The system utilized in the video is an older model, which is why you see a larger scanhead than our current systems are equipped with.
