One of the best ads of all time. It's the reality of life. Volvo is great but, the market in India is quite small since, you don't find much volvo service centre around. But still appreciate the team who brought the concept of the above ad.

Dear #Volvo Car Group! Thank you very much for reminding me of that fine #Industrial Ballad „Hard Time In The Mills“, sung by the great #PeteSeeger, by choosing it as the jingle for your video. It´s a simple, authentic, but well sung working class song, und I imagine it was well known among many of the automobile workers in the U.S. in former times. Pete Seeger, as you will know, was a fighter for #union rights all his life. So I think publishing this song as a jingle must have a hidden message - to encourage those who seek safeness in their lives to join the union and fight for their rights. Sophisticated piece of #partisan marketing!

Yeah, my V70 did as well.
Volvo is saving lives because there’a no time to drive it. Last one year:
- I changed turbo
- I changed transmission
- I changed the belts etc etc
I paid 40000 QAR almost $12000 plus regular maintenance prices total 6000 QAR almost $2k and now there’s another problem and they’re telling me that some parts are broken gasket need to be changed etc and the price is 13000 QAR almost $3.5k. And all the maintain done with Volvo Service. There’s nobody to contact and nothing to do. I was telling myself this is the last time, this is last time and yet still problems occurring. Awesome job Volvo! And thanks for awesome consumer support???

Except the fact that Volvo cars are so expensive now, that most ordinary families can’t afford them anymore. At least here in Denmark, Volvo XC60 is way way to expensive and out of most traditional families league.

@@VolvoCars My 2020 does not have Google. But CarPlay. I love the adaptive cruise control. And the seats. 12 hours driving. No hurting back. And to drive electric in the city (T8).

Love it so much as one of millions of parents in the world!
The Big point I love about Volvo is, that a lot of safety features are equipped as standard while other (especially German) manufacturers speak about how much safety equipment they got but everything is a pricy extra you need to add.
They're not just safe, they're also reliable and robust. 2012 XC60 T6 with 206,000 miles and counting. I'm an Uber driver so they've not been easy. The car still looks new inside and out, and drives perfectly with no lights on the dash.

An ad of Volvo, an anti-ad of kids
I’ve driven multiple cars with these features, even an xc40. Don’t think we are quite there yet to be able to promote these features.
The volvo one was quite good, but some aren’t. So if someone starts to rely on these systems too much it’s a recipe for disaster.
Not to mention that if the markings aren’t there the system deactivates. So it’s a nice feature that can save you if the circumstances allow it to do so. It’s not on par with the seatbelt.

On clear and dry road it works. In my experience, lane detection proved unreliable and required more attention or even correction from me on wet roads and roads with temporary painted signs, so I decided to switch active steering correction off by default. I kept warning (steering wheel vibration), however. A sound warning is not an option, unfortunately (why?). Great ad otherwise.

Came here from the Wandering DP analysis of this ad. I see they have used a 16:9 ratio as opposed to 4:3. I personally liked the 4:3 better but the footage is beautiful irrespective of the aspect ratio. Brilliantly written, shot, and edited. :)

nice, can VOLVO make the button - I'm driving can't take your call at the moment, thank you for your understanding, I'll get back to you when it's safe. It is the next generation of 'seatbelts' and its like wow. Also the button to slowly stop the car when it 'feels' there is an object too close. This is really wow, once this is done I might consider getting my license to drive a Volvo. You need a special attention to this one. They invented the seatbelt after all.

That car has to be featured with Driver alert control (DAC) system as well. It looks like it didnt work properly or shut by the driver :-)

Ok, I like the imagery, direction but that song makes absolutely no sense. It’s not a bad song. It just has nothing to do with the commercial. Just another Volvo commercial that leaves us mystified and scratching our heads. I wish they’d cut it out. It’s just obnoxious. I’d never want to buy a Volvo because their ads are annoying.

My brother has a 2011 S80 and it saved his life when he was rear ended by a crazy driver at 60mph. Most importantly my brother didn’t have a scratch just very sore. The car didn’t even look that bad, all the damage you really couldn’t see until you took it apart. We will always have a Volvo in the family now!

Cinematics are amazing for me the problem is the context.
I am a parent and know how tiring it is and the point of the commercial makes so much sense, but the way the parents act in the video and the way they parent makes me not connect to them at all. I'm sorry, but I don't feel anything for them.
As a mom, I would relate more if you just made the video of them having the birth and then cut to one night of the twins as newborns. Make the mother wake up to feed both of them 2 times in the night and the day after she has to go shopping (with the babies in the car cause the father is not on pappaledig) and make the car save all of them. I would say I would cry, because it would be so relatable. And we don't only shop diapers as parents, it's so much more that involves taking care of a new little human. We are giving our best and sometimes we need help. Volvo XC60 helps you where you didn't even think you would need.
Just one single opinion. Take it as it is. I'm still buying a Volvo. I just have a thing with your commercials.
