I enjoy your stories I am stitching right now and it is nice to listen. I am 76 and still feel like am in my 50s. I have seen dogs and even cats waiting for traffic to stop. We don't see that anymore as dogs are not allowed to run free here in British Columbia Canada and they have a licence and a leash, but there are doggie parks lol.

If he is smart enough to stop and look then he knows to watch for cars. Yes I have seen a dog stop at a crosswalk look and then go if clear. First time I saw it I did the same as you. I was amazed.

Could just listen to you all day maybe seeing eye dogs are trained to cross streets but I've never heard of a common dog doing this it made me smile

What a fun experience to see the dog utilize the crosswalk 😂 I’m behind watching because I’m in South Dakota visiting my son and daughter-in-law. It’s been wonderful spending time with them after not seeing them for almost 3 years. I believe you are right, people that make it a point to be mean or hurtful have issues and are attempting to build themselves up by tearing someone else down. I love your authenticity! It’s very refreshing. I’m with you Rachel, I won’t do commissions because it stresses me out and makes it hard for me to be creative. Cute little book! Funny story about the dog! I once saw a couple walk across the street pushing a baby stroller and their dog was behind them carrying the end of his own leash in his mouth!! It was too funny! ❤

Oh my goodness Rachel you make me laugh! That is exactly what I would have done in that situation haha, absolutely all of it including the bird!! And I remember that video with the bowls and I thought they were so cute. Don't let it bother you, chin up, be happy and let that kind of negativity go. I love all the scrappy bits that you use, I even made a box in my craft room, titled “scrappy bits”! Whenever I see it, it just makes me smile! That’s some cute little doggie! I would have giggled about that, too! It’s a shame that there are so many mean-spirited people, it sounds like that’s a problem wherever there are people. I try not to let them ruin my day. I love your story about the doggie! When I was little we had a dog and she would stop at the street, look both ways, and then cross. She only crossed at one spot where she could see up the hill that we lived on. She was the best!! Love your work as always!!

Love the stories and rants...... I saw a muntjac deer use the footpath to go around a roundabout late at night when I was walking the dog. It was a 'did I just see that' moment. Manners cost nothing as my mum and dad use to say to me...... Obviously someone who thought her unsubscribing was important. As long as you love what you do then that's the important thing. Xxxx

I live in a northern community in Canada and I’ve seen deer (more than once) and once a black bear cross at a pedestrian crossing. I don’t think they looked both ways first tho, lol, but they did stop before crossing. These note books are so cute. TFS Rachel!

Thanks so much for the giggle today. I always make my dog stop before crossing the road, and he is quite good about it all if he sees a car he waits, But I will be laughing for a few days on that story. Also, the lady that just had to let you know she was unsubscribing was just being nasty, she must have a lot of disappointment in her life but it wont get better by her insulting or trying to hurt someone with nasty remarks. I would have done the same as you did when driving even as far as flipping the bird. TFS love this little notebook journal, so cute and practical Hugs and Smiles

My young dog is currently being trained to step off the road when he hears or sees a vehicle coming, and to look both ways before crossing. But he is also only allowed near the road when on his lead. He also prays before his meals😂.

Rachel, I can't remember if you have a pet? Dogs are eminently trainable ( and totally lovable :-) , think of guide dogs for the blind and all they are trained to do!! Furthermore, they are great companions!
😂😂Your story of the aggressive driver made me LOL. In Idaho when we put the brakes on like you did, we call it a “brake check”😬The “bird” is still the “bird”😂 I get upset at drivers like that as well😆

,oh rachel i loved your story about the smart dog in the crosswalk. i always wonder why some nasty folks don't seem to be aware that their actions could cause the other driver to get nervous or anxious or mad and have an accident. they would have to live the rest of their lives knowing that their actions caused harm to someone else and/or to themselves. what's up with that?? love this little notebook. as always, it is wonderful to see all of your gorgeous and interesting papers! appreciatively linda from california

Loved the dog story. I've never seen a dog properly use a crosswalk alone. American dogs are jaywalkers and, like raccoons and squirrels, they enjoy darting out in front of cars.😂 That crazy-hair lady deserved the bird!🤣We also wonder why people seem much more aggressive nowadays. It can't be good for their heart.🤗🥰

I have taught all my dog's to do that but they are all on harnesses and walk with me but incase they get loose or something happens they won't get hit by a car the one time chewy got out of his harness he ran all the way home my husband caught up to him in the truck and said it was cute he stopped at the cross walk looked both ways then ran home

Rachel, the woman who sent you a nasty email, she is likely an unhappy sour grape and it is probably someone who is like that all the time. She is a carrier of dark energy. She probably is a person that people avoid. Don't let that bother you. It's her loss.
