The Brooklyn Nets are the exact representation of what happens when you give up too much to win now. And, the fact that they did it twice and the same results are happening shows to me that they were better off in New Jersey anyway or they should have at least kept most of the 2018-19 roster. This entire franchise now feels so plastic and I don't think the franchise is going to recover from this for a long while.

That’s why the Nets don’t have the capability to develop guys to develop into elite status that can simply take over a game completely. They have to buy their players and rely exclusively on talent to win over 50 games. Now you will say “most teams are like that” which to me is a very weak argument because almost every team in the league has won over 50 games more than the Nets. That’s a reflection of much more than simply just a bad gm or owner. When it comes to player development, the organization is never going to do whatever it takes to be better than a 45-49 win team and history mostly proves it outside of 1 season.
