I own a zv e10. Still good for webcam/backup/starter vlog setup. It could hide exif data so no mcafeen geotagging security flaw and it could also adapt vintage lenses to prevent being spied on.
I'm happy with my ZV-E10. Works amazing with that 16mm Sigma lens! I don't think I'd classify it as a beginner camera. I think I'd call it more of a mid tier camera. The Canon m50? That I think is more classified as a beginner camera now. I'm still learning it but there's still so many accessories and adapters you can get that it's not even funny. I'm still learning about how to use it best with lens filters and settings. Hopefully I can help it work better with my channels. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing! Sony could make it easier to use their cameras. I like the ZV-E10 ii is a little more creator friendly. We always say try to get 1% better with every upload. Keep up the good work!
@@ThinkMediaTV Thank you! I'm not sure I like the new price point though. It makes it a littler harder for many new content creators to be able to afford in my opinion. Some may be better off hooking using their phone, computer, OBS and the Iriun software.
I went for the Mk ii for the same reasons you described. Back into photography after many years but I also run several YT channels and needed better video. Looking forward to learning both camera and skills. Thanks for your simple to understand review.
I think my ZV-E10 is great camera for the price I got it. I had traded couple of cameras which ended up with me 450€ on body + 2 lenses. Each Lens to me cost 50€. One is the basic kit lens and the other one is 55-210mm zoom lens. I spend from my wallet just 175€ for minimum 550€ ZV-E10 setup. Thanks to trading up the cameras.
Thank you!! Been looking at the E10 for a min. I honestly didn't know an E10ll was out. I think I will go with the II. Thanks again. Should I still pair this with the 16mm Sigma lens for talking head?
does zve10ii(mark2) 4k 60fps records gyro meta data? ( i need the gyro meta data, not the image stabilization steadyshot on camera) and does zve10ii(mark2) have 1920x1080 100/120fps?
Hello, I finally bought the mark ii. I'm a beginner, also I'm going to buy first lens. Could you suggest a lens which can serve me in basically all scenarios. Thanks
Thank you for the fantastic review! - Given these particular high quality cameras tend to run hot and sometimes overheat, do you have a suggestion for a camera that does 4k60 in low light that can run 24/7 (assuming it's hooked to mains power)? - For years, I've used a panasonic lumix g85 and have had great experience with it, it sits on a tripod behind my monitor behind my teleprompter, it has never overheated or even felt warm, but given it's an mft camera, doesn't have all that great low light performance and is a bit long in the tooth, so I'm starting to look around for replacements. thanks!
Hi Josh! Using a dummy battery power adapter can definitely help mitigate overheating issues. To enhance cooling, you might also consider pairing it with a fan. We have a video on that topic here ua-cam.com/video/0pYIvry__hw/v-deo.htmlsi=0l1ABE3krFTy1n_r&t=1052 If you're looking for a safe option, the FX30 is a great choice. It delivers the same image quality but comes in a more robust body with an internal fan for better heat management.
The crappy thing is I bought a Sony Zv1 for almost 1,000$ like 1-2 years ago it sucks that THESE ARE CHEAP NOW I REMEMBER AT BEST BUY THEY WERE GOING FOR 1,100$ or more that’s why I got the zv1 OPEN BOX so annoyed how these cameras prices go down they are steal prices !!!
Would this be a good camera for simple outside guitar music videos? I've been looking to upgrade to a new camera for better quality. I wouldn't need anything super fancy, but just enough for a more clear, crisp shot.
I use Sony zv-E10 and it works great. Can you help me what I can change to minimize yellow light/makes my videos look yellow while shooting!? Thank you so much!
I just got the zv e10 mk2 and I want to start using my old camera as a second camera for different angles during videos. What are some best practices for setting up my second camera? Good angles, etc. I've never used more than one camera at a time and I didn't find anything on your channel
It depends on what you’re filming but generally speaking, if you have a setup with lights and stuff, I’d recommend one main angle, your key light on your preferred side at about a 45 degree angle and your secondary camera on the opposite side to your key light.
So I have the ZV-E10 and have had it overheat before, there is a setting that allows you to run the camera 3x hotter then the recommended temp to prevent your camera from auto shut off. Does the ZV-E10 II also have this feature?
Very very basically, if you’re color grading, go for the MKII. otherwise the difference really isn’t that big. If you’re on a MKI, no real need to upgrade unless you’re dying to color grade.
The E10 II feels overpriced considering there's no IBIS or physical shutter, especially with the A6700 being an option that's coming on sale now at not much more. Personally I stretched my budget and got the E1 which is an incredible camera for the price.
With these particular settings, I agree! However the ZV-E10 ii performs better overall, especially if you tweak settings. The ZV-E10 delivers some fantastic results, and it's great to see that the Mk2 is making the Mk1 more accessible for everyone.
Could get the ZV E10 for 599€ with the kit, a pouch and an SD card while the ZV E10 ii would cost me 1050€ for the body. Camera would be just used for talking head videos. I think it ain't worth the higher price on the mark 2, right?
I accidently put active study shot on on my ZV-E10 and can’t figure out how to turn it off. Someone else threw away my manual so now I get so frustrated trying to do talking head videos because it always crops way in!
Hi Alice! To adjust the Active SteadyShot on a Sony ZV-E10 camera, you can do the following: Go to Menu Select Camera Settings2 Select SteadyShot Select SteadyShot Settings Select SteadyShot Adjust. Choose your desired setting Hope that helps!
8:35 Can't you just fix the rolling shutter problem by getting a faster shutter time and bump either the aperture f and/or the ISO? If you have enough light, off course.
@@ThinkMediaTVyeah but on that point the topic is best for UA-cam, zv-e10 mark I looks way cleaner and colors pop, almost Canon like. Better image with less work. Should be a good deal on Black Friday for the mark i.
Wish I had a budget. Oh, I did and scraped up enough for a Cannon M50 that you all and others hyped. Then Cannon dropped it like a dirty dyper. When 90% of UA-camrs me included don't make a dime off this platform to buy that camera. Yes it's probably a great camera at a good price but cashforce is just not flowing. 🤔😥
I totally understand your frustration! Budgeting for gear can be tough, especially when it feels like everything is constantly changing. The M50 is still a great camera to get started. Just remember, it’s all about making the most of what you have!
@frankmckinley1254 youtube is badly saturated and highly refined with all Algorithms and unpredictable outcomes by regular tubers... it demands more newer device as people do notice ... But same UA-cam world Casey & and His brother exists happily ...so ultimately Content is King ...but so many kings ..YT has become like GOT ...throne is lesser than heads😢
That's my opinion, if your looking to invest in a camera. The new version is a better buy. I purchased both with my own money, but if I was on a tight budget the original ZV-E10 works great.

I hope it’s still good , the thing just came out not even 2 years ago Jesus
From the vid, it's 3 years old already. But mine was manufactured march 2022 though when i got it last year.
Wait what? I love the GPS tagging as I forget where I take what picture sometimes. 😂
I cannot tell you how many of these comparison videos I’ve watched. This was the BEST! You reviewed with a beginner/intermediate in mind💯
I find in all the side by sides that the Zv-E10 has a better sharper definition and the Mark II is a bit more blurry

@@ThinkMediaTV That would be awesome :)
@@ThinkMediaTV yes! i need a review on the EVE ii vs E1
Which cam is used to film you in studio?
Sony A7siii and Viltrox 24mm f/1.8

Does it take alright photos? Or strictly video
It takes great photos!

That apsc image looks ugly and really tight looking. For me I like the image full frame all the way , but focal wise it needs long range zoom lens
