- This is the first part of our trip to Berwick-On-Tweed to mudlark with the Northern Mudlarks. It was the final stop on our mudlarking extravaganza filmed before lockdown! We have split the film into two as we filmed lots of footage (and we need to make our films last as long as we can!)
At the end there is also a bonus Bee water feeder segment and Oscar reading a lovely poem written by one of our lovely commentators Sandy Burbach about our video at Seaham.
If you haven't already, please check out the Northern Mudlarks channel. They make beautiful videos :)

Aww, happy days on the riverbank. We miss Berwick so much! Love your earrings, Kate, and the bee water feeder is such a good way to use the marbles! Oscar, your rendition of the poem was wonderfully done! Stay happy and safe! Gail & Alex xx
I think we are going a bit crazy missing mudlarking haha :) xx
I love the lesson about the bees. I had a bee on my door jamb this past winter. It was soo cold. I picked it off the door, cupped it in my hands, blew warm breath on it and then put it in my auto in my hat. With the heater on, it started to move a bit. I took it to the nursery store, found some nice flowers and placed it on them, in the sun. I mad sure the bee was still within a 1/4 mile of my home so it would not be lost. When I finished my doctor appt. I checked on the flower for the bee. It was still there and flying around a little. So I cupped it in my hat and took it back to my house. Placed it on a rosebush that was still in bloom and went inside. The bee never fussed, never tried to sting and sat quietly. So now beside the humming bird feeder, I will set up a bee bath and use my antique marbles I've collected since I was a child.
All you wonderful mudlarkers feel like an online family to me. Thanks once again for taking me along❤️
Oscar recited the poem beautifully! And what a true jewel that poem is! What an impression you must make on one to inspire such a beautiful piece. You should be greatly honored!
Fleur & Kate, I'm so glad you got to make that trip to an historic part of your beautiful country ❤!
Love seeing my two favorite mother/daughter mudlarking duos together! So glad you had a chance to collaborate with each other's channels. All four of you ladies have such soothing voices and such enthusiasm for mudlarking adventures...you make it so much fun for your viewers we feel like we're right there with y'all having a mudlarking adventure.
Kate, I love your sunflower earrings and I must say, I think the short bobbed haircut suits you. Thank you for educating everyone on the dos and don'ts for helping our friends the bees. Oscar, well done with your poetry reading. Much love to you all from over here in North Carolina. ❤

I wish both Famimies could live in the same tiwn and go mudlarking alk the time and meet to create bunches. Such Wonderful People.
The bee 🐝 lesson was very interesting and I learned a lot. No doubt I will give it a go. Having a butterfly garden there should be a water dish.
Oscar that was really very nice. Job well done. Also want to say what a wonderful poem.
I don’t want to go on and on but I do like Kate’s stylish attire. And I can’t wait to see what you end up making with your bits of pipe.
Thank you all for sharing. I love the greenhouse as well. Wish I had such a beautiful greenhouse too. 🤩🤩🤩
Kate has an outfit, nails and earrings for every occasion :)

Thanks for loving bees, Kate. Oscar, you did a lovely job of reading the poem.
Thank you! :)
Greetings from Maine, USA. Thanks for another wonderful video this Sunday morning. Thanks for the wonderful bee water dish idea. I have not got any cod marbles so I'll have to think of something else to use. I have a lavender patch in front of my house and I have many American bumblebees that come to suck the nectar. I never thought of putting a water source out for them.Have a wonderful day ladies and the young man that read the poem did an awesome job.
Thank you! I think you could use pebbles just as well as marbles :)
Oh Wow Kate.
Thank you for the lesson on bee's..I didn't know about their drinking & drowning.

Wonderful Kate 👍🙂
Hello,
Bravo👏 Oscar, super gemacht.
Thank you for the traveling in Berwick.
Liebe Grüße Jette
So nice to see Oscar reciting poetry to your viewers. He is very handsome. His personality seems that of one who is quite studious in their manners, going about life as if their feet never touch the ground...calculated movement but free flowing.
Fleur you have a wonderful family. So close and united as a freshly knit sweater gifted to you from afar. Your subtle giggles make me smile.
I will miss all of you during the next UK lock-down (31st Oct/4 wks). I'll replay the many videos I have on file. Thank You, take care, stay safe

Berwick was quite lovely, as Kate said such history, in knowing how many people crossed the bridge. Nice information on the bee's Kate, thank you for sharing it. Young Oscar! Nice read of the poem which was very heart warming and lovely. Blessings to all take care and be safe ♥️.
Berwick was lovely and it seems so long ago now! :)

I wanted to mention how much I enjoy the soundtracks to your videos. There must be a musician in the family? Love Kate’s earnings and Oscar’s poem recitation. 👏🏻

🐝Bee waterer, what a fabulous idea! I hope it will inspire more people to help out the variety of Mother Nature's creatures 🦋🦗🐜🕷️🐛🐞who are busy trying to keep our planet🌎 surviving. They all count in their own little way.
Beautiful job on the poem reading Mr. Oscar, you looked very relaxed and natural. Wish I could look so confident in front of a camera 😉. You certainly did Sandy's poem justice 👍.
Thank you all for your efforts in putting together these videos for us. It can't be easy trying to piece together footage. Your creativity is astounding and MUCH appreciated 😉😁. 🕉️☮️🙏's from the USA 🤗🤭😘🙋.
Oscar is better in front of the camera than me, bless him :)
Such a beautiful video, Thank You☮️🇨🇦
Thank you for the trip around beautiful Berwick. Fantastic idea for the bee water feeder, a very kind and thoughtful thing to do. Great job by the young bard as well!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Thank you so much for the information about the bee's, I never knew you should provide a water source for them. Now that I know this, I will be make one for the 🐝 bee's in my garden! I'm very allergic but I just keep my distance and they rarely bother me. They are so very important for our environment, I like to do all I can for nature. I know this an older video, but I'm still catching up on your channel. I'm loving ❤️ every minute of too!! Thank you once again!!
You can use a ceramic drill bit (tiny one) and drill holes in the side of the dish where you want the water to top off - so if it rains or you overpour, it will leak out through the drilled holes. Love your ideas. Brain boy was a treat.
Loved the lesson I learned something new Thank you for continuing your videos and sharing the poem it was awesome...You girls are so inspiring 😊❤
Love you ladies
Lovely poem Oscar did a great job, I am ok now with bees but years back I was attacked by a swarm of killer bees and just in my noggin they stopped counting at 100 bee stings. We have wild bee on the property in trees.Took me awhile but still supportive of them.lol
That sounds terrible!!
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers well at the time I found it hard to walk outside,a butterfly would fly by I'd beat myself silly thinking it was a bee, years later ,I'm ok thinking of getting a bee box.
Lovely and soothing as ever. Thank you!
Thank you too!
Thank You very much for the bee information .... lovely video 😊💐
Most welcome 😊
How lovely your family is! 💗💕💗💕💗

@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Good here in New Brunswick Canada playgrounds and parks reopened to the public
Thanks for the bee lesson.
Hello from Ontario Canada. Love your interest in bees. I had wonderful gardens and I mason type bird fountain I could not keep the wasps out of it. The birds never got to get a drink. Got lots of honey bees with sunflowers along with gold finches. Keep up the great work and videos
Lovely poem.
Good stuff, folks. I love the way you put the video together, K&C.
I’ll overstate the obvious by saying Kate, you’re absolutely adorable :)
Kate says thank you haha :)
Very nice and relaxing watching you girls search for treasure and wonderful items In Berwick looks a fantastic place well done keep up the good work love the music
Glad you enjoyed it :)
When i find a bees nest awakening in the spring i usually put a small bowl of sugar water ( just like yours with marbles or small pebbles) they are very vulnerable at this time of awakening and it helps them along until they are fully energised and awake.
You are gooorgeous Kate! And loving that hat on you, so sweet ❤️ WOW Oscar - your poetry reading was just beautiful. I cannot wait until Wednesday ❤️❤️❤️
We are filming Kate`s craft today so wish us luck :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers Good luck ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you Kate for the bee info, my brother keeps bees and has a hive on our ground and last year he got a new queen and her bees put me out of my veg patch! Every time I went out to it they would sting me so I stayed away. I do like them tho. Great vid again.
Oscar was awesome reading that lovely poem. I would dearly love to see more on where you live. I love the history too and awesome old buildings and homes still being lived in. I am so tempted to move to Scotland. Plus my grandfather came from Scotland, his name was
Charles Stuart. Now wouldn't it be funny if I was related to Mary queen of
Scotland. By the way I love your videos and am going to make some bee watering bowls too. Excellent tidbit on the bees. Looking forward to all your videos. Hugs from New Jersey USA
Rae Whisner, wouldn’t it be lovely to live in Scotland. I’ve been able to trace my family name (Riddle) back to Scotland. That would be so awesome if you were descendant from Mary Queen of Scott’s.
Scotland is a very beautiful place! We will definitely have to go visit again:)
What a lovely idea! I will copy you by making a bee hydration station for the bees here. I don’t have cod marbles but I bet I can find some regular marbles somewhere. Great trip with great new friends. See you Wednesday.
Great information about the bees , thank you Oscar for the poem, lovely to see you all it really makes our Sunday, take care all of you xx
Really happy you enjoyed it :)
The poem was lovely, and beautifully recited.❤️
Lovely video and music and ofc beautiful Ladies
Thank you so much!
Penny, penny, bring me up where I pick the up. Beautiful yard!
I Love Kit & Caboodling Sundays!!! Well done for reading the poem Oscar. So nice to see you again honey.
Lots of love to you all xx
Chez in Lliria Valencia Spain xx
Thank you so much!
I never knew that you can make a bee water bowl....it was very interesting. We have lots of bees in our yard so now I want to make one but I dont have marbles...lol
Nice video love the bee drinking bit . If you drill some holes where the water stop if it rains it will just drain out
Oscar is a little star! 😀
Forever the person who hears a problem and solves it. Find a dish that is like the one you were holding or larger , fill it to the line you want the water to be with the stones of marbles when satisfied make a mark where the water shoud stay and drill a hole on four sides. When he rains or you are watering and some get into the dish , it should drain off leaving the exact amount of water so the bees will drink without drowning.
Lovely finds!!! Love that marble!! The base a bottle gail found was off of a gordans london dry gin bottle! Lovely idea of the bee water feeder! i wish i could do that but i have only ever found about 5 marbles, lol! Your brainboy inspired me to start my mosaic and its going well, still have not finnished it yet lol! Well done Oscar, your very good at reading poems!! That poem is very creative!!! :) :) :) :) :)
Are you going to film the mosaic you are making? I would like to see it when it is finished :)
@@MudlarkingWithKitCaboodlers , I have just put up a new video, in which I show it, although I will probably show it again once its finnished! :) :) :) :)
Love watching you ladies.
Thank you! :)
If you use a container that's slightly lower than the marbles, the rainwater won't be able to submerge them and drown the bee's. Do you think that would work? I adore watching bees, and I really want to make a native Australian bee hotel 🐝 to go in the garden.
cool video. bee feeder is a cool idea
This was good, I'm enjoying everyone's updates xx
Thank you :)
The girl with sunflower earrings is gorgeous from losangeles ca wassup yall live in a beautiful place blessings to you and family
Lovely poem and so well spoken! Looking forward to seeing more of ... Oscar ... is it?
Wish I could tag along with you. I'd pick up the smooth pebbles and tumbled bricks.
New subscriber, enjoyed you video from Florida. Good points on the bee care . Gave me an idea on a bird/ bee feeder.
There is a certain ASMR about the clay pipes when you get a bunch of them in one hand and they make the most beautiful sound clanking against each another.
Love your intro music
Nice video😊
Nice
my 2 favorite girls on you tube
As charming as ever. You've had a lot of mileage from your visit to Northern Mudlarks. I wonder how the Australians police their bee feeding regulations? Beautiful poem and very well read.
We have never mudlarked so hard haha :)
