They had the overall record with the AMG GT Black and Porsche had to install an after production kit in order to take the record back. AMG took the 4 door record and then Porsche took it back with the updated Panamera. Now they obliterated the overall record with the Project One on a damp track. They are going back & forth
I love her facial expressions during the run. You can tell that she's ridden fast on the NRing but it still surprises her how capable and sometimes, scary the car could be at the limit. Cheers!

Misha I have the feeling that the higher seating position gives you a greater view ahead and by that gives you more confidence to attack the corner. I haven't ever seen an lap of you so accurate and yet relaxed before. The handling is crazy.
From personal experience a higher seating position makes me less confident pushing a car to the limits usually. Especially when you know the weight is a little higher than usual as well. I'd assume hes not trying to push the car here, thats a chill lap by his standarts haha

Well its build for that and got tested right out of factory when they developed it. So it should be no problem. The Testdrivers are much harder to the car than misha.
If I'm not mistaken. You did a 8 minute 18 sek run of BTG, in traffic, by going easy on the brakes, and car. Ehm, that's insanely impressive. You can clearly tell Porsche means business as far as making all of their cars track worthy. And this was your first lap in the car, not to mention. No wonder you were impressed with the car.

Kubica taking this to 9.5/10ths would be a fun video. It would put a lot of modern sports and older super cars to shame. 14:00 to 14:20 flat to the floor is incredible in an SUV, you can't do that stretch without well tuned damping even in sports cars. Great drive Misha!

It is useful to learn that 100kmh is 62mph and then 160 is 100, 200 is 125, 250 is 155, 300 is 186. So after some time, whatever speedo you are seeing you have a perspective how fast it is :D
On the edge of my seat watching the whole thing, loved how calm you remained, and I even held my breath a couple times when passing the cars - but every turn got better than the last.

A friend of main how's working in Porsche Zagreb, he's trained in Rijeka race track the " How you say in German : Autobahn Polizei: and he's crazy about this car. Call him ones, he can show what this car really can, then you will be impressed. Nice driving by the way, I love the vid from you.
For perspective, Misha was the fastest on track at that time in a SUV. Usually you see a track focused GT3RS or BMW on a push lap but nothing. The CGT 😉 is a beast.
Beast? No. The RSQ8 is barely 3 seconds behind and less than half the price. I think that with rear wheel steer and 600hp most SUVs can hit this mark. I think the RSQ8 is the real tech marvel.

The last few ounces of speed is always gonna cost you, thats how it always is. Even though I certainly wouldnt buy it compared to a normal Cayenne turbo. And no, "Most SUVs" certainly cant do the same from factory, even with a power increase. Take a look at the higher powered jeep trackhawk or Tesla Model X for example. "Some SUVs" would be more correct.
Wife has a 2012 Cayenne Hybrid, and we've been VERY impressed with the handling of it. You forget that you're driving an SUV cause of the suspension and pwr they have.

As a viewer from the UK, I appreciate the MPH display, allows me to better understand just how fast this thing is, what a car!
