*Rachel, finally a NON-distressed pair of candle holders, just EXACTLY as I like them to be❣️❣️❣️LOL😉🤣🤍 They are my idea of PERFECTION❣️💋 🥰 💞 Hahaha‼️😆🤣🤪 Loved the black frame with the GOLD accents - that really brought out the details, too❣️ You'd never know you fixed the little bird's tail - and the Golden Ticket highlights were the perfect enhancement to the charming angel. 🕊 ALL of your projects today were lovely - the decoupage paper has enchanting, detailed designs - AND I L💚VE🎍wooden boxes; especially in the aviary color.😃 I thoroughly enjoyed this video, Rachel❣️ Have a fabulous weekend‼️😉💜*

In the absence of the gilding wax, I used dark gold, copper and brown old eyeshadow .... Yes eyeshadow! Then sealed it. I have my angels inside the home for decor but they are beautiful. No one would ever know... Guess you could use it in the place of the dust as well.
It makes sense that eye shadow would work I suppose - what a cool idea! :)
@@theeclecticcottagespokane Thanks for the reply. The only reason I figured it out is because I was giving it as a gift and live in a very rural area and had no time to return to get the supplies to antique it (or distress it). So I dipped into my old eyeshadows I didn't use anymore. So I guess folks should keep their old eyeshadows in a pinch.
Loved all the projects. Agree that you take care with all your projects so they turn out so nice. I saw that you were using a humidifier by your plants and I figured I was going to follow you. My plants are much better since I have been doing this. Figured Rachel would know since her plants always look so healthy.
Lol - I'm glad the humidifier is helping! I love mine - I also use it as a big diffuser and put essential oils in it so that it helps make the shop smell wonderful! :) I'm glad you liked the projects! Thank you!

Hi Rachel! I really loved the boxes and the little Angel! Thanks for the great detail you share when you’re creating the projects! Very helpful info regarding using your hairdryer to get the candle wax off. I wouldn’t have thought of that! 😮😊

Rachel, loved your Angel! Oh my gosh that turned out so beautiful. Good job on the bird tail. You can't tell that you had to fix him. Don't you just hate starting a project to find out that there is an issue you need to address first? That is so frustrating. Everything turned out looking absolutely wonderful. The deco podge paper looks so good in the frames and the boxes. The bigger box with the tree and bells was my favorite of the 2 but I would honestly just want to buy Everything you did today. Glad there is about 4 hours between us. LOL Have a really good weekend.

Hi Rachel, I also loved everything that you have prepared. What I really appreciated was how you explained all the techniques and what you used each product for. I have terrible luck with wax application. It alway ends up being a sticky gross mess. It never comes out the way it did for your candlesticks. Very pretty. I also tried wet distressing this week. I used a damp rag and nothing happened. Now I know why. I didn’t realize u had to spray water before rubbing. Also loved the decoupage paper you used. Loved all your projects. Thank you for taking the time to explain everything thoroughly. It very very important and helpful.. I’m making my list of items to order now!

I'm so glad you find me helpful - sometimes I worry I talk too much, lol. The mister bottle definitely helps with the wet distressing - sometimes (especially if you wait a little while between painting and distressing) the paint is a little difficult to reactivate, so I use the mister to give it a "boost". :) Thank you so much for your order - I really appreciate it!!
