The pointer was on uvula/soft palate. Sensory is b 5th nerve, motor is by 10 nerve. Don't know why everybody is so confused on this question?? Even the gag reflex of soft palate is mediated by 5th nerve. Not by 9.

I too dont understand why everybody saying 9th !! Soft palate was mrkd and on touching which nv is tested in a pt with h/o diff in swallowing . Ans simply 10th if i think of gagreflx even! Isnt it?
