In the season 2 trailer we briefly see a mysterious cowboy character. So who is he?
Well this is actually satan, the leader of the wrath ring. In the hazbin universe satan and lucifer are two different characters.
Design wise we can tell that he’ll be a dragon, based on his wings horns and multiple eyes. In a past episode we also saw he has an app called satan’s workouts which shows that he’s a dragon and into fitness.
In episode 8 bee mentioned stan, saying he was hot as hell. Likely referring to his glowing molten arm, but perhaps he’s also quite attractive since he works out.
Overall satan looks amazing and he’s probably the sin im most excited to see. The question remains on whether or not he’ll be an ally or foe for the main cast.

The bible? The generic book avaliable in every store? Or the very own original texts written in old language? Because due to mistranslation and context, a dragon is not evil and was just a monster feared at the time by medieval people, more likely refering to an attitude rather than actual dragon.

People are saying that the guy John Waters is most likely playing is Leviathan in disguise. That theory works for me since his outfit reminds me of Stolas' in S2E2. Plus, we need more sins.

I feel like instead of being a dragon he's sort of like a "super imp" with some draconic elements. On the workout app you can clearly see imp horns, and considering some imps have wings, it feels fitting that he'd be more imp-like.
There are imp ref sheet notes from Viv that say all of them are descended from him.
Imps don't have wings, those demons with wings are succubi/inccubi such as Verosika.

There's a distinction between wrath and anger, one's an emotion, another is an act. A kind and calm person can still be quite wrathful when someone's very out of line
I mean, visually and from a story stand point, I think it would make sense if Wrath is in super demon mode constantly as the others sins and Demon's seem to go that way when pissed.
But I think it could be possible fir him to have a less monstrous form, but maybe iþ would be with a calm sense of anger, if that makes sense

I’m guessing Satan will be an antagonist , and there gonna split the sins into two factions good vs bad, on the good side there’s Lust, Gluttony, and maybe Sloth, on the bad side there’s Greed, Wrath, and maybe Envy; which will result in a civil war in hell.

I like reading the stupid theories that comes from the fandom, first of all, they are not evil or good, not narrow, they are complex people with their own goals, so no war and sides, they don't need the other rings when they are already at the top, secondly they were given that place by Lucifer to keep the rings in liveable conditions for the native habitants, lastly the dragon design is just Vivzie poorly reading the bible lore and then again not following the canon lore, at medieval times a dragon was a feared creature just like owls at some other region of the world, Satan is not an actual dragon and originally worked for God and went around pissing people off to see if they believe in God, the dragon is a comparison of the attitude, which again not good or evil, after the events of the first half of the bible where all the good little stories with a moral came from, we have the second half where all the asspulls come from, more likely written in Europe/Greece probably around 1000 to 1200 ac and then rewritten many more times, Satan then became a villain who is Hebrew along with Lucifer who is Greek, two different people.
Luckily for the show, this actually can slide as creative freedom and doesn't really ends into cringe since dragons are cool but it was pure luck, perhaps in more older books Satan was writren as a good guy but Vivs just read modern ones.

I don't think it's because of that, but because he fell in love, that is, he gave himself to love, in principle, he admitted that he really loves someone. Although he himself said and claimed that he hated love, and throughout his life he spread Lust.

Satan and Lucifer are also actually sometimes considered different characters in biblical canon as well, as Satan is never actually described as *the* devil in the Bible and is only referenced by name once or twice throughout it.
I can't wait to see Satan, and we'll probably get to see Leviathan too. Not likely, but possibly.

Cowboy Imp Dragon, let's fucking gooooo!! I thought he was gonna be among the eviler devils in the series but I kinda wonder if it's possible to give him a sorta good quality. When I saw Millie and Sally fighting at the end of Hell's Belles (To clarify, I mean the physical fighting after the emotional fight) they actually were having fun. It was treated more as them sparring, almost like it's treated as normal for imps to kick each others' ass for fun. It leads me to wonder if Satan also places value in sparring and individual strength. We've seen good devils and bad devils, but I wanna see a sorta neutral ground one.

I’m personally really excited to see Leviathan as I have this head canon that he would be inspired by Marilyn Manson in perhaps the way he would sing and music style but I imagine him being the most liminal feeling character like the deep sea but however he might be more traditional either way I’ve been obsessed with the Seven Sins and always had ideas for them since season 1 episode 2

I don’t believe he’s wearing a cowboy hat here. I believe it’s actually his second set of larger horns (the ones we see on his little head icon in the app) the ones that aren’t striped. It would be cool if he had a cowboy theme to him still though.

Because Wrath is a part of anger, maybe his overall theme is finding ways to positively channel your anger.
We’ve seen that people of the wrath ring have short tempers and love to fight, like with the one guy who was mad that Moxxie was wearing the same hat as him.
With the Pain Games in the Harvest Moon Festival, the previous one before the episode ended in 15 separate funerals, with millie causing 8 of them. So, people can get hurt and/or from it, but they all know the risk of that and still go into it because it’s a way to release their anger and get some adrenaline pumping.
Beyond that, there’s little to no ways for people of the wrath ring to properly channel their anger, which is why I believe satan has a workout app, so people can channel their anger into getting in better shape.
Chances are, since Lucifer has been a recluse and not paying attention to hell, with Lilith in Heaven just ngaf, and Charlie doing her own thing with the hotel, Satan is the next in line to rule hell, which is why many people (on earth) believe that Satan is the king of hell and not Lucifer and believe th ey are the same person.
As for the clip, I also believe another theme is to channel your anger to someone who has objectively done something wrong. For that I believe he found out about Stolas letting Blitzo use the grimore to kill people in the human world, which is a big no no, and Satan got angry since that is another risk to all of hell and he intended to put a stop to it, which is why IMP was going on the run in the first clip of the trailer. It’s not that Satan is an enemy, it’s that he’s looking out for people and trying to put down a threat to all of hell. There’s also the fact that in terms of power when talking about the seven deadly sins, Satan is the second strongest sin, after Lucifer.

Additionally, Lilith is *NOT* a demon, she's a sinner, remember, Lilith was Adam's *first* wife aka a *human* before she was cast into Hell. This means Charlie is an angel and not a nephilim.

Satan looks very imp-like to me, which i love because he could potentially have a meet-up with moxie, which is why he says, "You're a disgrace!" and moxie could get a character development moment with him.
I have this feeling that he's going to be neither friend nor foe to the main cast.
It would be an absolute missed opportunity if he wasn't voiced by Patrick Page (the guy who played Hades in Hadestown, and a confirmed voice actor for the season)

Ozz is lustful no question, Bee is a glutton mostly for good vibes and partying but still, and Lucifer has had moments of hubris like his smug "I told you so" moment during Alastor's rampage and rubbing salt into the wounds of Adam's own pride when they fought. They're more likeable than Mammon because their sins, despite their varying degrees of severity, can be toned down into something more healthy. Greed can't do that which is why Mammon is irredeemably evil, and I imagine Wrath and Envy fall in the same boat as they are also inherently malevolent.
