Read-Aloud: Stand Tall, Molly Lou Melon (Read by Mr. Loren)

What an incredibly charismatic and strong little girl! The type of individual we all hope our children and students will grow to become. I was introduced to this story at a time when I had a young 3-year old student who was the spittin' image of Molly Lou. My student would sing out loud, stand by her opinion, and had the strength of 100 of her peers. (And had a sense of humor kept us all laughing.) She was an inspiration to us all at school, and I can still hear her calling my name with her missing 'R' sound: "Mr. LOLEN!!!" With mom's permission, I recorded her for my ring-tone: "Mr. Lolen, pick up the phone!"
Our ultimate objective is to present learning in a way that is fun, engaging, and will create opportunities for the child to succeed. Success at learning ensures a child will seek out learning again, and again, and again!
