The UI where I started, in 2019. Not updating, rather using that was pre-installed. Got update in 2020 to One UI 2, and in 2021 got One UI 3 (although I was downgraded because it was make the phone sluggish) And Now I stick to One UI 2, for better performance. Btw, device I use is Galaxy A10s
One UI 2 is quite smooth compared to One UI 3, but its battery usage is worth it by its performance. My A10s battery ran out in 5 hours when I was still using One UI 2, but it lasted up to 10 hours when I upgraded to One UI 3 (with a bit more heavy daily usage). I kinda miss this device because there are several features that are not available on my new A05s Galaxy😢. By the way, A05s One UI 6.0 is suck tho (quick battery drain too)😒, luckily I upgraded to the 6.1 version right after they released the version on the second day after I bought it😊, you can say that my first impression about this device was awfull but they did something to fix the "impression" 😂.
@@alonia09 That's because nowadays "specification requirements" are more heavy than what it was in 2019-2021 and A10 didn't meet the requirements of 2024. It indeed was fancy when it was first introduced. My A10s wa laggy too, it started in mid 2023 so I decided to trade-in that device with newest budget reachable Galaxy phone in 2024.
i remember upgrading my old note8 to oneui back in 2020 lockdown(bricked up my phone the first time i tried to update btw lol). Was really hyped about one ui and liked the whole ui experience. This video actually brought nostalgia to me
I really felt nostalgic after watching this. Feels like I went to the old days. My father got the first galaxy S8 in our city from the official showroom(my country is Bangladesh). He was so happy. I was only 12 then back in 2017, so I didn't knew how amazing this phone was. But now I use this phone, my father got a S10 lite. A lots of memories are enclosed with the S8. Maybe I'll upgrade to S24/S25 ultra next year, but the galaxy S8 will be always with me. (Tbh 2017 was the happiest era of my life)
Damn you just made me travel back in time haha, I remember installing the Beta on my S9 in late 2018 without knowing about the UI changes and immediately told my friend who was also in phones that this looks utterly trash haha. I than installed android 8 again and after 1 or 2 weeks I installed a Android 8 custom ROM so I could just stay there, just when the One UI 2 beta released I gave it another shot and it was fine for me. But till this date I still got my Full TWRP backup of the Android 8 install so I can downgrade when ever I feel like going for some nostalgia. Btw I'm writing this rn on my Galaxy S9 which I use at home for UA-cam cause the size is just perfect and the screen and speakers are brilliant (on a One UI 2.5 ROM which runs smooth as butter) Thanks for the video! ❤
As a Note9 user, this was enjoyable to watch. I remember the day my phone was the first to receive this update followed by my Note8 which I used before I gave it to my godmother cuz she was heading into retirement.
i really liked the look of the samsung experience! OneUI just looks like every phone os ever but samsung EXP is just modern and cool! modern is if EXP is on a newer version of android of course
it's like a chao evolving because you cannot interact with chao until after it evolves, just like your phone that you cannot interact with your phone until it updates
Never used any samsung interface in between touchwiz for Lollipop and the OneUI version that came put with the S23U. Ive used whatever touchwiz was on the Galaxy Camera, whatever touchwiz was on the S5 for Lollipop, and all OneUIs for the s23U. I am on 6.1 now.
My father had a Galaxy Grand (peak nostalgia) running Jellybean (Android 4.2). Then, he used Marshmallow (Android 6) on a J7 Prime. After that, I used Nougat (Android 7) and Oreo (Android 8) on a C9 Pro. I was disappointed when they didn't release a One UI update for the C9 Pro. Then, I used One UI 2, 3, and 4 on a Galaxy A31. Finally, I am on One UI 5.1 on a Galaxy S23+ (which will be getting seven years of software updates). Samsung has truly come a long way, and each iteration has been revolutionary. I am excited to see what One UI 6 brings to the table. Also, I reminisce about the days when two or three years of OS updates were the norm, and now here we are with seven years of OS update promises.
The thing i miss the most from pre one ui was the vertical task changer! They have one in good lock but its not the same! It has the app preview to the right and title to the left. It just looks ugly and off center. I miss the old task changer that was a stack of apps but sorter vertically
I've used every version of OneUI on my S10+ (versions 5 and 6 were unofficial tho, but thanks to the XDA developers, i'm running the latest OneUI on my 5 years old phone). I can't see myself switching to another brand.
Nice, I'm also daily a S10+ (exynos) but just with a One UI 4.1 ROM, I would love to run ONE UI 3 on it tho.. cause the battery life was much much better and i could use bandlock to lock to specific LTE Bands. The problem is i idiot haven't archived the ROM 😅
I loved Samsung UX or whatever it was called but yeah OneUI was definitely well needed. In my opinion it’s the only version of android to use. I don’t necessarily even like Samsung phones but if you’re gonna use android you might as well get all the bells and whistles.
I'm using J6 while watching this video, my heart fells nostalgia. This phone is great and battery perfomance is awesome, I charged it to cent percent yesterday morning and today morning its 49%. Anyone here using this phone in 2024⁉️⁉️
@Cleacat my s9 is an European exynos with an easy unlockable bootloader and the one ui 6.1 with Ai is only aviable on the latest flagships (officially) and on s9, note 9, s10, note 10, s20, note 20, a51 4g and a71 4g via custom rom.
I absolutley love One UI, but the App Icons were great before. In this video itself, look at how great the Phone and Camera App Icons are, as opposed to what One UI has. If One UI 7 is going to revamp the entire thing, I hope they bring some good looking Icons.
Samsung Experience was a decent step up from Touchwiz, but One UI was something else. If they would have updated older phones including the S6,S7,Note 5 along with some other mid tier Samsung phones they would run better than they did when they were new. My old Note 8 ran way better on One UI compared to Samsung Experience Nougat and Oreo
pretty sure my Galaxy A5 2017 also got One UI somewhere around 2017-2018, like, before 2019, in 2019 ive got S10e and it came with it out of the box though no need to update to one ui or anything
Pls come back with same design i love it , big fan of samsung s6 to s9 models , dying for buying with same design samsung smartfone noe i m using s24 😊
I have an note 9 that was on One UI 2.5. it was good but i custom rommed it with Light Stock Rom (basically samexp) and i loved it and i will never put it on oneui again
The old samsung UI is kind of too fancy (because i hate fancy stuff) but kind of nostalgic to me. By the way I have my Galaxy tab a6 beside me since from 2018 it is running on android 5.1.1 idk which UI was it. Right now with F13, android 14, One UI 6.1
as a galaxy a52 user i use one ui 4.1 android 12 but show a samsung galaxy a52 it may be android 11 but you can update it to android 12 turn one ui 4.1 into one ui 6.1
i've used all versions of One UI, it has improved so much. can't wait for One UI 7
I've only started using One UI ever since version 5.1 in August of last year when I got my Galaxy A34 (Currently running One UI 6.1).
Same
One UI 7 software, Android 15 operating system has not been updated yet
It will get a lot of similarities with iOS in the next update.
