You are definitely a pro. I remember cleaning my dads cars from the business he ran and I only had 2 cloths, 1 rugged, a brush and a not so good vacuum. I remember it took me around 1.5hrs to do the whole car in n out, but as I just implied, I did try my best to work with what I have but you wouldn't see me getting on my knees to each little cravice and using a toothbrush and special soaps to each inch of the car, I assume that if I did it would have taken me well around 8hrs. And yet you did 2 cars FULL deep cleaning to the last detail as a brand new baby and only took you around 3hrs each. I take my hat off for you sir.
The price detailers charge is crazy! You could buy a jet washer, brushes, lots of microfiber clothes, dual action polisher, lots of polish pads, clay bar, compound, polish, wax and lots of other stuff for the price they charge. Do it yourself, it's really not difficult to get amazing results. Just watch a couple of youtube videos.
Youre absolutely right. But something I've learned in life when it comes to lawn mowing, home cleaning, car washing, or even having a laundromat do your own laundry and fold it for you. At the end of the day it's what you value your time. When I was younger, I'd mow my own lawn, do my own trimming. But as I get older and have more responsibilities, and thankfully I have a job that allows me to spend money on services, I can now spend time with my family, because that's what I WANT to do. Im happy to pay the lawn guy my 100 bucks to knock out the front and back lawn for me while I sleep in and have a late breakfast while playing my PC games. I still wash my own car and do my own chores around the house because I personally want to and enjoy it. I used to think it was weird when someone hires a maid to clean their home. But after seeing how complicated life can get with time management, sometimes, for the client, spending the money to have someone else does it is worth it
It’s very doable with experience and having a good work system. If you’re bouncing through the car to get everything done instead of going side by side you would be way faster. In my case, do interiors starting on the passenger front side moving my way around until I get to the drivers side, by the time I’m at the drivers side im pretty much done. It’s good to set up a system to be faster and more efficient. Always working with excellence.
Compete wash, seal and interior in for hours by yourself. Dude, you are flat running. No way you could charge those prices in my area. Your calendar would look like a blank sheet of paper.
Its crazy to me how youre doing a paint sealant for your ultimate detail but you’re not decontaminating the paint before applying the sealant? You’re just throwing it over contaminated paint? Which will make the sealant last waaay less. Im basing this over your comment about the tar and how you upsold the paint decontamination. Which paint decontamination is pretty much do a chemical decontamination with iron remover followed by a mechanical decontamination with a clay bar. Hope you’re doing things right and not just making car looking clean when they’re technically not.
When you go to a customer's house, 9AM is realistically your earliest start time for a consistent schedule. Most people don't want a contractor rolling up at 6 AM, and their neighbors won't appreciate him out there running his vacuum and stuff either. Let everyone have their morning coffee, run the kids to school, etc. Bonus you miss morning rush hour traffic.
Jesus christ if i hear another video of how much a detailer makes in a day im going to pull my hair out. Why is it important that we know how much you made in a day? Do Drs and Lawyers or any other professional job tell you how much they make in a day? No so why all this unnecessary information?
JESUS CHRIST died for you in a cross for our sins. 3 days after his death he resurrected and is The LIVING GOD. Repent from your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior in a prayer and also ask for the HOLY SPIRIT to come into you in that same prayer as well. Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. God Bless You.
