It was held at the Stadio Comunale Vittorio Pozzo in Turin, on 23/5/1988 with Juve winning on penalties to qualify for Europe.
Rush had a poor team around him which didn’t help. Sure he didn’t succeed but he gave it a go. He wasn’t the only big name to struggle in Italy in the 80s just look at Mark Hately, Enzo Scifo, Rudi Voeller, etc.
Rush failed in Italy no matter what Liverpool fans try to tell you. That's why he came running back after just one season instead of proving himself out there.
