Alternatively, multiply the length,width and height of a room (in feet). Divide the answer by 1000
(length x width x height)/1000

Hello Sir, Very well expplained. I have calculated my room size it is 246 sq. feet. I have 1.5 ton 5 start LG AC 2022 model. Me usko 16 degree pe rakhta hu lekin colling utna effective nahi ho raha. Mere room ke upar direct sun light aati hai... uske alava aur koi chhez nahi hia jaha se cooling leak hoti ho. LG is not responding very well. I have just bought this AC on Marh 15th. Can you please suggest something?
jaha pe 2.5 ton ka AC lagana tha, waha 1.5 ton ka laga liya... hence if possible, either buy 2.5 ton or just add 1 ton ac to this room

mere ghar mein 3 room hain aur do room mein A/C lagana chahta hoon do ek 9 inch deewar se seperated hain , in dono ka arA calculate kiya 2400 aata hai it mean ki 2.5 ton ka AC agar mein ek hi laga loon deewar ko beech mein se todkar half half indoor unit dono rooms ko cover karke kya main ek hi A/C se bhi kaam chala sakta hoon taki ek hi indoor unit aur ek hi outdoor unit se maintainence bhi easy rahe mujhko aur electricity bill bhi controlled rahe? kya yeh idea suitable raheha?? plz reply

If it is a open living room with double height , how to calculate. living room in L shape with one side double height ceiling. Total living room = (11*20*10 ) + (10*10*20 ). How much Ton required , what type of AC required and place to install. Thanks for ur video

this calculation will always gives you way higher tonnage and you may not find AC in many cases or need to install 2-3 ACs, like for a 300-400 sqft room if you calculate with height x length x width will get you around 4-5 ton ac for a living cum dinning room which is absurd. Also old structure which usually have higher height than now will force you to go for 4-6 ton ACs, how many normal household can afford 5-6 ton AC or 2-3 ACs to cool the room? in most case you will find 2 to 2.5 ton AC works fine in such areas.
