    when i make my GTP Move enough after feeding (5 days or so) they will go poop.
    I would not be surprised if the constipation is actually due to her not moving around as much. If you keep having the constipation issue, try a larger enclosure or try letting her out in the room for a few hours at night, i bet she will poop right away, I bet she is just feeling a bit closed in.

    I have a pastel female that has that feeding response.
    When I got her back in September 2010, she was 3 years old and 500 grams.
    The dude just never fed her.
    She's 1805 grams now.

    You are so right about tree pythons being a little cranky when it relates to handling, we have found that even the wild one do not even like human company too close to them. We were really surprised to find one on our old bird cage and not even be bothered by our presence, as they usually make it obvious with actions of threats to bite! Have posted a video response. By the way great videos you've got!!!

  • @y5will
    @y5will 13 років тому

    @rseagles14 woops i missed ball pythons off the list. Ball pythons will make a great first snake if you want a snake with a bit more power than a corn snake. They have had a reputation of being bad feeders in the past but i am sure you will be fine if you do your research before buying any snake. In conclusion I should imagion the best snake for you would be a ball python if you wamt a snake with a bit more power than a corn snake (without being a threat to your sister) or a corns snake.

  • @y5will
    @y5will 13 років тому

    @rseagles14 DONT get it as a first snake. Get a corn snake, King snake, Milk snake, Rat snake or Garter snake. Green trees get about 7 ft at most but are very aggresive unless you are a experienced and time giving expert to tame them. Pluss they have the longest teeth on a non-venemouse snake :) hope this helps bud.

  • @y5will
    @y5will 13 років тому

    @WMRProduction also the bites arnt that bad but i wouldnt say they were pleasurable. Trust me i have been bitten by some big angry breeders sitting on some eggs. but gentle handling will make them great pets.

    He breeds reptiles for a living so he kinda does have to think about the money, and has quite a large collection of snakes and lizards, so he probly doesnt have much time to handle them. He never said that you cannot handle them, he just said that handling is kinda stressful and make for better display animals then obsessivly handling them. Also most of his chondros seem to be pretty tame.

  • @bigbriboas
    @bigbriboas 12 років тому

    Go to cutegayjason complete snake colection. He will prove you wrong regarding Green tree python handling. He does a remarkable job with his snakes. What was that you said, Green tree pythons make good display animals. Handle yours more instead of worrying about making money and you may find those green Treen pythons may tame up a bit for you. If you have for breeding and display that is what you will end up with as oposed to a nice tame easy to handle snake.

  • @duckshockey44
    @duckshockey44 13 років тому

    @187crabz If your meaning a green tree python yes they are beautiful but 80 percent of them are aggressive and do bite if you dont like getting bite this is not the type of snake you want there better for display snakes there really not for holding because they get pissed easily so

  • @Xoiboi
    @Xoiboi 14 років тому

    I love my chondro! He's a super-sweet little boy, and doesn't mind being held or touched at all (kind of like the first snake that you had out of the cage). I'm definitely a sucker for this breed of snake. :-) Thanks for showing us your collection! Such a lovely canary you have, by the way.

    They really get a bad wrap but the captive breed trees are really docile I have 5 and not 1 has even tried to bite me only one that has bitten me was the imports which are a bit aggressive. I only hold mine about once a month just to clean the cage and you need to so they can stretch out. same goes with the bloods captive breed are extremely docile cheers

Go to their site, click cages and check them out. Hope that helps you. (Hope breaking up the website makes it so UA-cam doesn't get cranky about it...)

      O.J. Simpson DidIt FALSE!! BRO.. I have a couple GTPS Been Struck A Few Times!! To keep them from not striking your hand... Try not to put your hands in front of its Face.. HAHAH No really..
      Start a daily routine, like Fresh clean water everyday, alone with just opening the cages lid for a few mins.. Your goal is to get the Snake in a Routine with you.. After awhile when it seems not bothered by you.. Congrats
      ( YourBuilding a Bond) Try handing the snake for a few mins be careful.. Read THE BODY language. Read the Front 1/3 of the Snakes body.. Your looking the the front 1/3 to be in a S Shape. It's going Strike! Yes Sir!!
      And Keep the snake well Feed.. After a Meal important (after 24hrs have passed) The snake is digesting it's meal and will not mistake you for food.You Hope So. . Snakes a less Active when Digesting Meals..therefor less chance to get HIT!!
