Great video. Saved the day really!. I had the same problem and imagined I wouldn’t need to use the wipers while waiting for replacement part but then it snowed….in April!
Great post! My daughter's 2014 Cruze had the same exact problem. $60 part and now it is good to go. Saved a ton compared to taking it into the mechanic. Thanks!
Really appreciate this video. Showing every step made it very easy to follow along and fix the problem. Thank you for taking the time to make and upload it~
Nice - mine popped off Monday somewhere around Shubenacadie on my way to Antigonish from Halifax at night. I had a sore neck by the time I hit Antigonish lol. By the way.. that looks like another diesel Cruze from what I could see from the engine cover.? Great video!
@@Saltbox97 Thankfully was at night with not to much traffic. Oncoming headlights were the only real issue. Not too many around , I’ve only seen a couple other besides mine in Halifax. I suspect rusty rockers will put a lot of these in an early grave.
That was actually a piece of the thick Gorilla tape. sticky side towards ball and then snapped socket back over. lasts a long time before wearing out. www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/gorilla-clear-repair-duct-tape-0676183p.html

Both my wipers work perfectly except if I try to put it on the first setting, but the other two stronger settings work perfectly fine, any idea?
Nova Scotia ❤
Replaced the transmission but the wipers are resting at the top
So, did you buy a new part and where you get it? This situation happened to me last night.
You can get the part on Amazon. This one came from dealer. Both places are about $75
What is the part name?

i have a 2012 and my wipers are stuck in the up position any way i can fix that at home?
What did you use to hold that ball socket in place for in the mean time fix?
used a small piece of flexible plastic film to take up space and an elastic band for safe keeping.
@@Saltbox97 can you put Gorilla glue or any type of tape down in the same area?
@@dominicwilliams4885 the ball need to be able to rotate in the socket so you can’t make it solid.
@@Saltbox97 where did u put the elastic band
@@carlward9367 just wrapped it around the two parts that were separated. It held the top part down in place and flexible enough to twist with arms.
whats the part number? have the same problem on my chevy cruz
Maybe drilling through top and bottom pieces and running a screw into them!
Would work but make sure the screw isn't seated tight as the two parts need to rotate within each other.
Hi that plastic how did you do that please got the same problem. Thx

Where u find the part
@@carlward9367 I found it on Amazon
@@mrbenjaminvincent Fixed mines 2day it was a easy fix
@@carlward9367 did you have to replace the whole thing or just one of the arms??
Believe it or not, it was cover under warranty. So if your car is less than 5 years only check!
Always make sure the wiper isn't frozen to the windshield before turning on.
Under power train warranty?
