I think a crossover would have helped this one out. Even without that though, it did sound better than before. I'm not the biggest fan of either though. I'm a fan of single exit on these, but to each their own.
@@fgj8379 I just had an exhaust system made for my car this morning. The first thing he asked was do you want a x or a h-pipe and I told him I wanted a h-pipe. It doesn't matter if it's a V6 or V8 if you don't have one more times than less it will sound bad.
H pipe plus some properly spec’d helmholtz resonators, and longer normal resonators. That should cut the rasp. X pipes on these sound super raspy, agree with an H pipe as that will sound beefier
No. They can sound absolutely amazing. Sounds like dog shit with true duals. And no resonators. No Cats also make it rasp more, has a res delete and muffler delete on my g35 coupe way back and it actually sounded sick. Not like a fucking honda on meth.
I used Y"pipe from res then 2.5 to each side w/ stock tips, sounds excellent, fairly quiet at low RPM then around 3k it starts to open up then around 4.5k on up its super sweet.... No Drone. I removed my R1 single which was great but stupid loud, this set up just plain works
Nissan is my favorite car in the world's biggest town we have some Nissan's here Nissan march, Nissan Pathfinder, Nissan Altima, Nissan maxima , Nissan frontier and More
I’ve never been a fan of blue flame tips. Personally, I like silver or black tips. It’s also a little too loud. Put some rear mufflers on there to tone it down just a little bit. Still a nice car though
@@carguyns4348 nah it's just idiots who think muffler deletes and straight pipes sound good on their VQ. My magnaflow x pipe muffler is super deep on my maxima and I got 4 inch quad tips so it's pretty loud and idle sounds close to a v8
That still sounds like crap I think it just needs two mufflers one for each pipe like a magnaflow or something but not a loud one a quiet straight through magnaflow and an x pipe
The exhaust that it came in with was an absolute disaster and was one of the worst 350Z sounds I’ve ever heard. This one doesn’t sound much better but it does sound better and I’m sure it made a drastic performance difference. X-pipe and 4” tips and call it done.

It would have been an improvement if they put a x or h pipe on it. I can't say it sound better now.
I agree it deserves a h or x pipe but it does sound better
It sounds worse
Who likes the rasp tf
Seriously, I don't understand why they keep making these exhausts without the crossover.

I would love to hear the owner be honest for once but I understand he has to compliment every car
Maybe an x-pipe to help clean it up but definitely better than before this set up actually has a mean sound
Rear tires lookin mint
Racing slicks 😂
It’s breathing better now with true duals as it should be.
What it needs is a 18" Resonator on both sides with a H-Pipe and 4" Tips instead

Paid between $600 to $700 to make it sound worse.
BRAIN DAMAGE!
But...he got some snazzy "ricer tips".
Thanks man I’m the owner and I love it 🤙🏾
@@1guyadams239 why did you decide to go without a crossover pipe?
@@1guyadams239 sounds garbage. like 2 three cylinders side by side
Those tips are dog shit. Id rather but some HKS tips
@@pushhrodd01 thanks 🙏🏾
Ah that's a VQ for ya.. Doesn't have to sound decent, they are just unique in their own way. Nice

Doesn't sound horrible, but could definitely use a crossover pipe
I used Y"pipe from res then 2.5 to each side w/ stock tips, sounds excellent, fairly quiet at low RPM then around 3k it starts to open up then around 4.5k on up its super sweet.... No Drone. I removed my R1 single which was great but stupid loud, this set up just plain works
Sounds like a clown 🤡 horn before
I had 3.7 q70. Deleted the muffler, 18 in. Long. 5 in. Tips. Sounded way better than that.
Definitely needs an x, or h pipe. Maybe a couple more vibrants also.
X or H pipe, add in a few helmholtz resonators plus a couple other normal resonators. Should remove the VQ rasp
X-pipe would make a huge difference, I put one on my old G35 and it was night and day
These VQs NEED x pipes that’s only way to make them sound good.
Agreed but I think y pipes are the best option
@@Jacobyjones259 with a single exit 👌🏽

finally you guys do a true dual and not name it some other ridiculous name

It definitely needs a crossover of some sort
I can’t believe I’m about to say this but…it needs a single into a vibrant into dual out
I dunno, I think it would sound good with single exit exhaust. Like a Tomei and a few others out there do.
Sounds worse lol
This is a much better system than what it is before, and louder too.
I think it's got even worse than i expected because it's louder and raspy than it was before to be honest
I’m the owner of the Z in the video and that’s exactly what I was going for 🤙🏾
Needs a x pipe with borla attack mufflers
Didnt know a vq could sound that bad.😅
Without an x pipe or a y pipe, they sound absolutely horrible
@@Jacobyjones259 Yep. I know that now.
I don’t know if I’ve ever heard a good sounding vq

why are they angled downwards?
Have you done a flowtech terminator muffler on anything? I put one on my trial rig and it sounds great
