If I did not have youtube I would never heard all of the catalog of golden earrings music and it would be a huge loss to me.The more I dig into searching youtube I find more of their music that never got played in the USA it's loss and its a shame people in the USA will never know how good they where AND ARE!
people, people, people. Underrated? The three packed concerts from mid 70s to the mid 80s I attended were...uuhhh...packed. They come up in best classic rock band conversations constantly. Again I ask, Underrated?
This is the only song other than Radar Love and Twilight Zone that I've heard on the radio here in the US. Thatw as back in July of 2003.; I was absolutely floored.
I was born in 1987, so I've never heard it on the radio here, if they ever DID play it very little back when it first came out. It's a completely unknown song here, sadly. @@apveening
@@apveening oh yeah, it got a tiny amount of attention in 2008...maybe some people looked it up on UA-cam then. Too bad the video was too controversial, it's an amazing song and could have been a third big hit over here.
I recently started discovering their back catalogue, and I must say, I do Not understand why in the US/Canada (North America), why they didn't get much radioplay and credit? These guys still rock, and their new album is pretty damn good, better than that actually haha! N.E.W.S is a good one, I Love it! Cut, and The Hole are good too! :) Come to Canada Golden Earring!
On these streets paved by numbers , still can't figure out how to get back home . Something Heavy Going Down reminds me of my time in the US Navy watching the radar and wondering when WW3 would start .
Great sounding smart song. No real airplay in the U.S., seems like just about most people missed out. I do feel sorry for them, that would be mission imposible, Utubing may get their minds right!
Love how so bass driven. U.S. record company Overlords.. Another fail. This album would've been a massive hit in the states with proper radio exposure.
Alienated Hawk Plenty of British music on American airwaves. Scottish(Dire Straits), Australian (AC/DC,Wolfmother,Three Dog Night), German (Scorpions, Rammstein), Canadian (Rush,Neil Young,The Band, and yuck Justin Bieber), and yes, Dutch(Golden Earring) I didn't list British because there are far too many but The Beatles,Black Sabbath,Deep Purple, Uriah Heep, Sex Pistols just to scratch the surface. I do agree I'd like to hear more Golden Earring on US radio and a bit more of a number of acts, both foreign and domestic. It's definitely not true that music from other countries is not played on mainstream radio in USA. I'm happy for that too because I am at least a casual fan of every artist I named other than Bieber.
Barry Hay is not Retired. I looked at their Schedule and they are playing all over Holland and Europe only tho. Leonard Cohen im not a fan of that much, being he's from Canada, I am Born N Raised in Canada, He is popular to people here very, he is playing 2 Shows in Toronto, Ontario Canada back 2 back.

They didn’t have to go that hard in the studio with this 😩🔥❤️🎶
Mission possible for these veteran rockers!

Overall a much more interesting band than "The Rolling Stones"
Right on not retired...

I agree!!!
Очень хорошая группа. Но не раскручена в мире, в отличии от других, у которых просмотров очень много.
Yeah I love it
suffer my blues & see if you can make it...
In another version of the lyrics, it was "step into my boots". Stratosphere also had alternate lyrics.

went to Holland to have an affair with a Norwegian. best time ever, and yes golden earring is underated.
the USA should play songs from all over the world not just from own ground
