It's been getting easier to see which moments are manipulated by the producers. The slippers and the Snooky solo is one of them.
I know, this is so obviously fake. Abby would never let a dancer go out on stage to do a solo in slippers like that-- it's an injury risk.
I also think the when bradys mom threw the cake was another.
Iris Lasmarias Abby actually did this by herself, the producers made a horrible routine and Abby didn’t want Gia to do it. So, she caused drama so she had a reason to pull it. She said it either on a live or at a meet and greet
I liked how GiaNina stood up for herself and said “Mom!” That proves that actually wanted the solo unlike last time with a jazz solo and when she said the truth “My mom does not know when to stop talking”

I think Abby deliberately provoked Gianina's mom into reacting so that she had an excuse to pull the dance. I think she never intended her to do the dance in the first place. It was a pretty insensitive and inappropriate dance and Abby knew how borderline it was.

Sorry, but I disagree. I think she’s a bit too vocal about her problems with everything. For example, when she won and Abby was looking at the scores, she really didn’t have to say anything, (especially in front of everyone except the teachers). Those are the things you talk about with your mom when you are at home
‘Ailani Grace it was more the fact that she realized her mom was speaking for her and didn’t want to make it a big deal. And Abby doesn’t like it when the moms speak for their children. Her being vocal isn’t totally bad because I don’t find her being particularly bratty this time.

This is the first time I have felt like GiaNina understands how to handle Abby. Being mature and just accepting what is happening, even if you don't like the dance or costume, makes it better for you and helps gain respect. Look what happened when Kalani went in and talked to her saying "It's not that I don't want to do the dance. It's my mom..." or when Brooke met up with her privately to ask to rejoin the team.
That's not being mature, Gia is being manipulative. I actually meant it in a good way because Abby is a very arrogant irrational person and you can't be mature with her, you can only twist words and pretend.

But in this case, even if it was a job, it was right to speak out and refuse part of your costume. I mean is Abby nuts? @@federicafattore you can't refuse to wear a costume. It's how you get fired in the real showbiz world. Gianina has already been fired from Broadway because of the bad attitude of her and her mother so she needs to learn these lessons. Honestly Abby was going to have her walk on, take them off at the beginning and do the dance- Abby is so big on safety that she would have had her practice in them if she wanted her dancing in them. It is not being manipulative if you are compliant. IT's called doing as your told. It's just accepting that there are some things worth fighting over and some things worth letting go and something that if you fight over, will make the situation worse. And of you do want to fight there are effective ways to go about it that don't waste your energy and keep everyone happy. That's having people skills. There is a saying that a real warrior knows when to retreat. Melissa had a lot of discussions with Abby when she though her kids were being unfairly disciplined or overlooked but she didn't insult Abby and she never questioned anything trivial or anything that would jeopardise her kids' opportunities.

Gianina probably would have walked on stage wearing the slippers and stepped out of them to dance. Abby definitely brought the slippers out to get Gianina's "elite" mother to throw a fit so she could punish her and hope she'd learn a lesson for all the NEXT TIMES. People like this mother don't ever learn but Abby's trying to separate Gianina her from her mother's psychotic influence so all of show business won't be afraid to employ her because they won't deal with that mother of hers.

It’s very obvious you’re not a dancer. Turning, walkovers, etc could be very dangerous in a slipper without the grip pads on the bottom. And, frankly, either way she couldn’t do the turns.

I actually really like Joanne. She is proud of her child’s achievements and is trying to build up her daughter’s self-esteem through positive reinforcement, and more importantly, she doesn’t resort to petty insults, top-of-the-lungs yelling, or swearing to get her point across to defend her daughter and herself. 🙌🏾👏🏾👍🏾

This was obviously her trying to degrade and humiliate Gianina and Joanne for beating her star dancer Brady last week at the competition, and also for Joanne proving Abby Lee wrong and showing with the score sheet that Gianina beat him fair & square. fun fact; the producers were the ones who made abby do this solo but she didn’t like it, so she figured the only way to get it pulled was to make it the worst as possible so joanne would flip and they could pull the dance. abby would never have put her dancers in danger by going out in slippers, she just wanted the dance pulled.

Gianina is one of my favorites this season, even though few people like her. I do think her mom can act delusional, sometimes funny though like when she pulled the receipts on Abby. Gia's behavior reflects from her mom, but I'm happy she didn't start crying again in front of Abby, and that she's learning to do what Abby says to stay on the team, although her mom's actions are putting her spot in jeopardy .
The way Abby decided to hate Gia and do the best she can to make her look bad is so imature!

It's Gia's mom's fault. She said that her daughter comes from the professional world, and that she's perfect, and so someone who is a professional and is perfect at everything should easily be able to dance in slippers.

@@JessyingAround I am not trying to tell her how to parent because I'm not a parent, but that's just not how you should raise your kid. She WAS on Broadway. She had all these opportunities but I'm assuming Joanne's motor mouth started up and ruined multiple careers of Gias, and that's why Gia is so precautious about her mom talking and speaking her mind.

Is it just me or are the girls in this reboot, wayyyy more mature than the original 7 seasons.
They're older. Most of the kids were about nine when the show started- then they grew up being famous and then thought they were fabulous. These kids are mostly 12-14 and this is new to them.
