That 1970 Bronco with the 302 (?) is a tractor and a handful. This Wrangler is refined for purpose. You can get it in and out of a corner. Wrangler will go anywhere off-road and eat it up. This Wrangler is just glorious. Tedward, you just help me increase my list of dream rides.
I did a pdi on one of these working at a dodge dealer in Buffalo i floored it for the first time and spent the rest of the drive laughing uncontrollably coolest thing I’ve ever drive

And for $80,000, you don’t get power front seats, heated rear seats, cooled seats, 360 camera, lane keeping assist, rain sensing wipers, power folding mirrors, etc, etc. Almost all of which are available on the bronco and other competitors. Not to mention the driving experience of the new wrangler, which is quite possibly the worst of any car since the 1990s.
Currently have a 2018 M3 and for some reason can't keep from thinking about these 392 Wranglers as being a more fun vehicle to drive. And I don't know why. Worried about handling, steering, and overall dynamics though vs the M3. Driving the M3 is a very rewarding experience. But your reactions being a sports car guy makes me think I might not be crazy. I love the idea of the acceleration of the M3 with the ability to drive over anything. Best of both worlds potentially.
Man.. Here I am with my JL Wrangler. 3.6L, 6-speed, Borla Atak exhaust, thinking it's as fast as I need and sounds pretty good. Then you do that first launch and you're at 60 before I've barely just engaged the clutch and gotten halfway through first gear. This 392 is such a magnificent package. I don't love my Jeep any less and lusting after things you'll never afford is never a great thing.. but maybe I should have at least sprung the cash for that slick automatic.
Fun fact: That Jeep Wrangler 392 has a exhaust button push it and it will bypass the muffler and give a you a straight piped V8 wrangler with a awesome sound.

I have a 2008 rubicon unlimited and I like everything about it except the optimistic 200 horsepowet the 3.8 L v6 makes. I am a v8 fanboy and all I've wanted for ages is a stickshift v8 in my jeep but smog laws aren't my friend.
I feel you. I've got a 2010 2 door 6 speed. I've been saying since I got it that it needs a V8. Especially with 38" tires. Maybe someday it will get an LS.
@@claysavage8047 one can dream, the parts aren't even that expensive. A junkyard LS is cheap. Trying to smog it after, not easy. Simply move to montana or nevada or something where smog laws aren't.
The newer Wranglers have the 300hp 3.6L V6, the 100 more horsepower makes all the difference. Those old 3.8s were so slow. I have a 2021 4 door with the new V6 and I’ll say that 300hp makes a Wrangler a quick car, even the 4 door models.
It's a senseless build really. The engine is amazing at going fast both on and off road but a solid front axle sucks at doing that compared to independent front suspension. Put a V8 into the Bronco Raptor and then you can really appreciate the extra power and speed.
This is in a different category then the g wagon they dont compete, the jeep u can take its doors and roof off, way more cusomizability u can transform it into something completely different. U dont buy this instead of a g wagon because of money, u buy this over the g wagon or u buy both. The jeep wa born to be a v8, its been crying for one.
Disagree. The G Wagon is popular because it retains the off road looks. Same reason people like Land Rover Defenders. Or even 4 Runners. Vast majority of them will never see more than a Starbucks parking lot or a gravel road at best. It is fancy cosplay to project a lifestyle. I bought my 392 as a more reasonable G63 alternative without the douchiness that unfortunately the g63 has come to represent. I daily drive my 392 and appreciate the character of the car. It has just enough luxury to be comfortable, but not so much that it becomes sterile or appliance like most SUVs these days. It still retains some of the edge.
Please like if you want a 392 Pacifica. Results will be shared with Chrysler
