  • Mbarara City is a city in the Western Region of Uganda and the second largest city in Uganda after Kampala.
The City is believed to have picked its name the local tall green grass locally known as Emburara (hyperenia ruffa) that covered the whole area.
It is just like 270 kilometers from Kampala capital city to Mbarara city center, by road towards the south west of Uganda. Mbarara town is a beautiful place to be .

Jinja and Mbale are way bigger and better than Mbarara. Infact even Soroti looks better organized.
Kasese may not have many buildings but it is sitting on an even better plan than Mbarara.
Mbarara is more like Mukono in terms of plan . More of trading centers that have been forced to expand because of population surge, but without any meaningful urban planning.
