It might be only a preseason game (and the very first one at that), but it is hard to imagine tonight's game not being viewed as a huge success for the Atlanta Hawks.
Not many knew what to really expect of this Hawks team coming into the night. Atlanta is a different looking team than the past couple of years and how would all of those new players such as No. 1 pick Zaccharie Risacher, Dyson Daniels, Larry Nance, and others look for the Hawks?

Hawks fan here...I had to argue for Zacc before the draft and I dont get the automatic dismissal he got pre draft. The kids size is what intrigued me immediately along with his skill set. Once I saw his feel of the game from watching his overseas games I knew he'd fit with us perfectly. I'm happy he's proving me right so far hope he exceeds everyone's expectations
The bottom line for me at this point is he has real skills...it will be interesting see how he handles a team that plays lockdown d...
@@underrated_media it will be interesting and fun to see his growth but yes at age of 19 he has legit real skills that can only get better with age. He shows an understanding for the game that some older players still struggle with
A "25 & 5" guy would be a home run pick. That means at a minimum he's an all-star caliber player! You take that 10 out of 10 times

I’m gonna sub just for how well done this whole thing is this early. The set up, intro , thumbnail are all well done.
I think Risacher’s lack of quick twitch athleticism blinds people to the fact that the kid is a 6”10in wing that is very skilled, plays D and can shoot. Plays with a lot of poise. Already has a pro’s pace, meaning he isn’t playing too fast and He’s confident in his abilities. Saw the euro step, a finger roll, making moves with his back to the basket with the up and under and even though he isn’t an explosive athlete he gets the ball to the basket quickly when he goes up for a dunk with his length and sneaky athleticism.
First time I saw him I called him a 6'10 Manu Ginobli....he's sneaky athletic
It's only preseason obviously he's not gonna try hard watch his highlights when he played in France he athletic but here no need to risk that when the reg szn hasn't even started
@@epikst3r154 yes he’s athletic but he’s not a quick twitch explosive athlete. I think this is why people were dismissive of the pick because he doesn’t pop off the screen but if you love skill he’s got it.

Zacc is a number one pick and play pro basketball overseas the only reason why it is a surprise is because it doesn’t fit the narrative that a player from the Hawks can be good.

They were playing NBA defense man no need to discredit the D because of pre season. It wasn’t played like one. Both teams were trying to win.

Preseason is NOT regular season. It’s got to be a completely different level. He will spend time in the G-league to toughen up and get stronger
He won’t be going to the gleague, dude is nba ready, and ready to help a team. He’ll get the same stats in the regular season if he gets playing time. Hawks have a lot of guys that will be going to the gleague risa is not one of them.
