I thought the previous showcase perfectly illustrated what Viviana's module doesn't improve: her wonky shield mechanic, still exclusively single target damage and obviously she still can't deal with enemies >70 RES. Other than that it's pretty clear the module is a massive improvement to her. People are very harsh to your previous showcase for some reasons
I dont understand, why showcase rare bad scenes instead of showing both the good and the bad? It's a new module and we would like to see how it fares in normal play. Plus, the previous Viviana video he put her so far from the boss so only 2nd activation would attack the boss....

While the previous video showcased that there are still flaws in Viviana's kit, it didn't show at all how much improvement she gained from module. So it's understandable that people would see it as an unfair showcase. The showcase of Viviana with the big flower boss was really questionable in the previous video.
Ngl tho, would've been better if HG improve her duelist aspect instead of focusing on dmg, which she wont be winning against common bosses with Dmg reduction & medium- high res Her mods now she still defeat the enemies she can already dealt with, but a bit faster & still struggle against those she cant, which mean higher floor but still low ceiling. Overall, not much improvement if we compare to some mods like lin, ceobe or gladia

They have vid when vivi fight lower res. Around lower than 75res, she deal better dmg than Surtr, but that is normal boss, have around 25k to 45k HP ( Patriot ). Burn deal 7k true dmg for each burned and explode per 9 hit, her s3 deal 3 hit at once so only need 3 slash, that is a really big number.

Theres a tons of bosses that he couldve chosen for a showcase but he deliberately put her on a boss that can stun an op without an elemental healer around and even use 1st cast of s3. It wouldve been a fair showcase if he started with 2nd cast of s3 on quintus and with an elemental healer beside her so we can see the full damage cycle without her getting interrupted. That showcase just reeks of laziness and bad faith. I use both of them equally and im not pretending Viv is meant to be a helidrop unit. Shes obviously a unit you put on a lane where the boss will eventually come but using 1st cast of s3 on a boss? really? are you even trying to do a showcase? Its just fucking lazy.

I recommend to disagree with good faith if you think your target can be reasoned with, or disengaging to save your sanity if otherwise because it's better for your well being. Like this new quilon vs viviana video. Viv mod showcase could use more of these kinds of video so ppl can have a grasp of what and how much the mod improves her. I honestly wanna see how her S2 faire, I did some testing with the burn device in path of life to simulate vivi mod (20% dmg as burn vs vivi's mod doing 18%) and it shredded the bar like as fast as s3 while being semi aoe, better survivability and no more cringe uptime or setup
Well to be fair with those who like her she doesn't really have any uniqueness to her. This module just kinda made her normal so I kind of understand them. Surtr already exists so Viviana's overall kit is just immensely disappointing where there really is no point in using her over any other arts guard. The skill was flawed from the beginning, short time, burn doesn't proc with high elemental res enemies. HG is probably scared of releasing a new kind of Surtr when she was released so they tone her down, which is stupid when Wisadel exist. In terms of tier she's lower than NTR knight which is lower than Surtr
I wonder if someone can test Viviana and Ifrit module synergy, in paper sounds like a good pair with Ifrit res reduction and burn application which is low for herself but maybe is good enough to support Viviana against some enemies

Theres a ton of bosses he couldve used to showcase her with and without mod like Storn did(checkout his showcase on viviana). Putting her on a bad tile against Quintus and using her 1st cast on s1 just reeked of laziness. It wouldve been fair if he started the Quintos fight with 2nd cast on s3 and a Wandering medic beside her to not get stunned. Patriot was also a bad showcase because he have multi-hit attack that just ignores her shield while Surtr ignores it with immortality. If he wanted to do a proper and fair showcase he couldve chosen bosses or enemies that can really make Viv dish out her dmg without: 1. Dying before her skill ends 2. Getting interrupted during her skill.(He uploaded another Quintus vs Viviana vid and she just got stunned during her skill uptime because there was no ele healer.) Overall, ppl reacting that way is just waranted when you do a piss poor job of "showcasing" if you can even call that shit a showcase. Ppl want to see how much dmg she can dish out before and after module, against Surtr and the video just fails to show that.

@@ChrisSisconFor CC, just do low risk and ignore ones that affect specialists, redeployment time, DP generation, and too much attack debuffs/enemy HP and def/res buffs. For IS, just don't go for too high of a difficulty, get lucky with the stages and relics while picking the right ones, and reach the right ending. There already are some videos of that on UA-cam. For Talulah, JT8-3 Normal Mode was cleared using Texa's S2 and Yato's S1. There is a Bilibili video of that.

I think his video would be just fine like that, a showcase of how Surtr isn't directly powercrept, as you said. The only issue is that the video is called "Is Viviana's Module Good?" Calling it that, and then showcasing only situations that Surtr thrives in while Viviana struggles shows that he clearly wanted to showcase Viviana as worse or inferior rather than just highlighting the seperate strengths they have. It's either purposely disingenuous, or not properly thought out.

Patriot's multi-hit attack just completely ignores Vivi's shield, and the Quintus fight is just incredibly lazy. He literally expects them both to solo the stage and doesn't use another op to keep the mobs away from Vivi, which fails to address the fact that she can only hit 1 enemy but multiple times. A good showcase would allow Vivi to hit the boss just as much as Surtr to compare their boss killing ability. Not saying Vivi is better or even on par with Surtr but it's just not a good video.

No need to be sorry, some people definitely did overreact way too much, while the video deserved criticism you didn’t deserve any hate. However, i see the exact same happening here but the other way around, lumping people in as Viviana simps or demeaning English speakers as insufferable people is a pretty crappy thing to do as well, so both sides need to behave a bit here. As for why the showcase was bad, cherrypicking a massively favorable boss for one unit and then not doing so for the other unit makes for a pretty poor example when not done for both units in the showcase, which you didn’t do, bringing arts damage against 90 res enemies is just generally a pretty stupid idea as you’ll be using physical dmg units for that anyway. The Quintus showcase was also horrendous, yes it did properly showcase Viviana’s flaw of having to activate the skill twice. Which i find a good thing, as it shows that her flaws are still there. However, you didn’t show that Viviana can do two full skill cycles before Surtr’s redeployment timer runs out, instead choosing to end the comparison promptly the second Viviana’s skill runs out. Surtr is limited to one skill per deployment, while Viviana can use as many skills as she wants, it’s not a showcase or a comparison if you shoehorn Surtr’s one skill activation on Viviana for whom it is a non-existent issue. I will say this for the 100000th time, people need to stop comparing a helidrop nuke to a unit that stays on field for a long time just because they’re the same archetype, it just doesn’t work at all no one compares Vina to Surtr do they? I'm not rich and lucky enough to get a hand on surtr. So vivi is enough for me i guess? vivi is great op in my opinion surely can't cook like surtr since she is one of the most broken op in game so stop getting mad bruh.
They do different things. Surtr is like Texalter Yato2 and Silverash. You use her by helidropping her on enemies. Because she'll automatically retreats by herself. Surtr isn't an op you keep on the field. Meanwhile, Viviana is meant for dueling elites and bosses, even more so with her burn mod that'll help her dish out higher damage. The problem with Viviana comes from her wonky skill set. That's why she keeps being clowned by the community. Her skill set just isn't meant for dueling lol. 3. 그게 아니라면 록라에선 5성 원소술사 보빙이랑 같이 쓰는걸 권장한다. (아르투로 님프 같은 느낌쓰)

There are other showcases that shows Viviana's strengths in comparison to Surtr and surely there are countless things to tell how different a heli drop unit is to a permanently deployed elite killer but bottom line is: when people who like something gets told the thing they like is not good, they will disagree, and when their reactions reach a certain intensity, you have full rights to protect yourself (blocking ect). Theres a tons of bosses that he couldve chosen for a showcase but he deliberately put her on a boss that can stun an op without an elemental healer around and even use 1st cast of s3. It wouldve been a fair showcase if he started with 2nd cast of s3 on quintus and with an elemental healer beside her so we can see the full damage cycle without her getting interrupted. That showcase just reeks of laziness and bad faith. I use both of them equally and im not pretending Viv is meant to be a helidrop unit. Shes obviously a unit you put on a lane where the boss will eventually come but using 1st cast of s3 on a boss? really? are you even trying to do a showcase? Its just fucking lazy.

I think for both sides of conflicts for and against Viviana, the problem lies not in what one cognitively thinks, but on the lack of trust in the other side. If you distrust and throw hands you feed the fire and it continues (check original showcase and apology comments. People throw hands)
The solution is not to prove one's better. It is to extend good faith even when your opponent doesn't. Outsiders to the conflict would choose the one that extends good faith because that side has potential to adapt for example

I actually appreciate ppl that can type paragraphs in a comment because kids nowadays barely have any attention span to finish reading a single sentence. As for the “showcase” it could be better. Like this new quilon vs viviana video. Viv mod showcase could use more of these kinds of video so ppl can have a grasp of what and how much the mod improves her.
As for the ppl’s reactions, im being realistic at it. The world isnt all sunshine and rainbows obviously, there will be ppl who will react harshly at how pathetic that “showcase” was and im very disappointed at the lack of proper and fair showcase in regards to her mod in this video prior to the quilon video being uploaded shortly after. I honestly wanna see how her S2 faire, I did some testing with the burn device in path of life to simulate vivi mod (20% dmg as burn vs vivi's mod doing 18%) and it shredded the bar like as fast as s3 while being semi aoe, better survivability and no more cringe uptime or setup

Well to be fair with those who like her she doesn't really have any uniqueness to her. This module just kinda made her normal so I kind of understand them. Surtr already exists so Viviana's overall kit is just immensely disappointing where there really is no point in using her over any other arts guard. The skill was flawed from the beginning, short time, burn doesn't proc with high elemental res enemies. HG is probably scared of releasing a new kind of Surtr when she was released so they tone her down, which is stupid when Wisadel exist. In terms of tier she's lower than NTR knight which is lower than Surtr
Even Logos is pretty busted. Although not as busted as Wisadel. He also seems to be more flexible to use. Both came out on the same banner.

Ngl, seeing the comments on the last video. Most of the top comments calling it a bad showcase (which it kind is? Why specifically Patriot? Why is Surtr even there? Is the arknights community so brainrotted that they can only use Surtr for everything? It could've been just her performance Before module and After module) are not even hostile in any case, they lay out valid points and critics on why the comparison just doesn't work and only ends up making Viviana look weaker than she really is when data says otherwise.
No fault to you Sciel on this but damn, the response of your audience to it is just cringe too, literally just hurling insults to anyone who ever dares try to defend Viviana.
All in all, I just don't like how the video is just a DPS test when Arknights is so much more than that. Also the extremely poor response of people supporting Sciel. Yeah there are people insulting Sciel but those aren't the majority. Most of them offer up points on why the video was a bad way to show how "good" Viviana's module is.

Theres a ton of bosses he couldve used to showcase her with and without mod like Storn did(checkout his showcase on viviana). Putting her on a bad tile against Quintus and using her 1st cast on s1 just reeked of laziness. It wouldve been fair if he started the Quintos fight with 2nd cast on s3 and a Wandering medic beside her to not get stunned. Patriot was also a bad showcase because he have multi-hit attack that just ignores her shield while Surtr ignores it with immortality.
If he wanted to do a proper and fair showcase he couldve chosen bosses or enemies that can really make Viv dish out her dmg without:
1. Dying before her skill ends
2. Getting interrupted during her skill.(He uploaded another Quintus vs Viviana vid and she just got stunned during her skill uptime because there was no ele healer.)
Overall, ppl reacting that way is just waranted when you do a piss poor job of "showcasing" if you can even call that shit a showcase. Ppl want to see how much dmg she can dish out before and after module, against Surtr and the video just fails to show that.

@@ChrisSisconFor CC, just do low risk and ignore ones that affect specialists, redeployment time, DP generation, and too much attack debuffs/enemy HP and def/res buffs.
For IS, just don't go for too high of a difficulty, get lucky with the stages and relics while picking the right ones, and reach the right ending. There already are some videos of that on UA-cam.
For Talulah, JT8-3 Normal Mode was cleared using Texa's S2 and Yato's S1. There is a Bilibili video of that.

I think his video would be just fine like that, a showcase of how Surtr isn't directly powercrept, as you said. The only issue is that the video is called "Is Viviana's Module Good?" Calling it that, and then showcasing only situations that Surtr thrives in while Viviana struggles shows that he clearly wanted to showcase Viviana as worse or inferior rather than just highlighting the seperate strengths they have.
It's either purposely disingenuous, or not properly thought out.

Ok but the showcase literally puts her in Surtr's shoe for no reason. It only shows the cons of Vivi's module and literally none of the pros, hence why it's a bad showcase. I can assure you I'm not a Vivi simp (still haven't raised her while my Surtr is e2l60), but the showcase could be better. Grouping people as Vivi simps because they don't like a showcase vid is crazy.

The video was a bad showcase because the 2 bosses he picked and the way he uses both ops against them is awfully skewed in Surtr's favor. In both cases he tried to use Viviana exactly how he would use Surtr, which would obviously not work out great for her. Patriot's multi-hit attack just completely ignores Vivi's shield, and the Quintus fight is just incredibly lazy. He literally expects them both to solo the stage and doesn't use another op to keep the mobs away from Vivi, which fails to address the fact that she can only hit 1 enemy but multiple times. A good showcase would allow Vivi to hit the boss just as much as Surtr to compare their boss killing ability. Not saying Vivi is better or even on par with Surtr but it's just not a good video.

No need to be sorry, some people definitely did overreact way too much, while the video deserved criticism you didn’t deserve any hate. However, i see the exact same happening here but the other way around, lumping people in as Viviana simps or demeaning English speakers as insufferable people is a pretty crappy thing to do as well, so both sides need to behave a bit here.
As for why the showcase was bad, cherrypicking a massively favorable boss for one unit and then not doing so for the other unit makes for a pretty poor example when not done for both units in the showcase, which you didn’t do, bringing arts damage against 90 res enemies is just generally a pretty stupid idea as you’ll be using physical dmg units for that anyway.
The Quintus showcase was also horrendous, yes it did properly showcase Viviana’s flaw of having to activate the skill twice. Which i find a good thing, as it shows that her flaws are still there. However, you didn’t show that Viviana can do two full skill cycles before Surtr’s redeployment timer runs out, instead choosing to end the comparison promptly the second Viviana’s skill runs out. Surtr is limited to one skill per deployment, while Viviana can use as many skills as she wants, it’s not a showcase or a comparison if you shoehorn Surtr’s one skill activation on Viviana for whom it is a non-existent issue.
I will say this for the 100000th time, people need to stop comparing a helidrop nuke to a unit that stays on field for a long time just because they’re the same archetype, it just doesn’t work at all no one compares Vina to Surtr do they? That’s it for my rambling, have a nice day.

I'm not rich and lucky enough to get a hand on surtr. So vivi is enough for me i guess? vivi is great op in my opinion surely can't cook like surtr since she is one of the most broken op in game so stop getting mad bruh.
They do different things. Surtr is like Texalter Yato2 and Silverash. You use her by helidropping her on enemies. Because she'll automatically retreats by herself. Surtr isn't an op you keep on the field.
Meanwhile, Viviana is meant for dueling elites and bosses, even more so with her burn mod that'll help her dish out higher damage. The problem with Viviana comes from her wonky skill set. That's why she keeps being clowned by the community. Her skill set just isn't meant for dueling lol. If you want to know what kinda op is mean for dueling, check out on Zuo Le.
