I was in Pickering Guns the other day. I picked up a 725 and as I lifted it I realised it was a 20 bore with 32” barrels. The gentleman in the shop said to shoulder it before I put it back. If my ticket was in my pocket I may have walked out with it. What a light and well balanced gun.
Hello David, I purchased a Yildiz Pro in 20 bore with 32” barrels back in November of 2022. My gun came equipped with an adjustable comb and 5 extended chokes, my gun weighs in at 7lbs, 14oz so it “swings” very similar to my Yildiz Pro in 12 bore. I am crushing clays 35 yards out with the 20 bore and my gun has Grade Four furniture!
👍 Excellent instructional video. I am 196cm tall, weigh 109kg, and am 74 years old (please pardon my poor conversions to metric numbers). I have shot side-by-side 12 bore and 20 bore for most of my adult life and like to believe I have grown-up (matured) enough to use/prefer the 20 bore. Therefore, the information in this video was very helpful. Thank you.
Love my 20 on walked up days gun itself is so much lighter as is the bag of cartridges makes for a lot less tiring day ,, 12’s will keep for clay , pigeon hide and wild fowling
I got my 12 year old grandson a kofs 20b junior gun for Christmas, I love to have a go with it when we go out, down side the cartridges are more expensive than the 12g.
Browning 20 bore's have a crisp trigger and great swing thru,I put little bit of weight in the stock she's well balance now. Great tutorial Dave spot on.
I own a 20ga. Yildiz lineage. I shoot skeet exclusively with it at our gunclub. My 12ga. Yildiz is gathering dust in the safe. Nothing wrong with a 20ga. If you're going to shoot 7/8 oz. Loads in a 12ga, might as well shoot a 20ga.
Great film - I’m keen to try a 20 bore but would like one which feels and behaves differently to my 12 bore clay gun, so one just doesn’t feel like a bigger/smaller version of the other… maybe I’ll get an SXS!
I’ve always shot a 20ga my first gun was fixed choke now I have a browning and I’ve no idea what chokes to use I think I have 1/2 and 3/4 in it atm any advice? I shoot clays and game with it thank you
Hunting quail in America. You usually use a 20 gauge in 28". There are people who go 26" , not many, but some do. There are also some who go 28 gauge; from what I've seen, usually in 30" barrels or 26" in barrels. There's even some who go quail hunting with 12 gauges with short/ mini 1" shotgun shells. These people are few and far between, and broken if you ask me...
Sub gauge Competition in the U.S. is limited to a 22 gram shot charge or 7/8th of an ounce... What shot charge are you shooting in this video? Thank you...
Good vid Dave, but that stock almost looks like it came off a .22 air rifle. I know that from previous videos that you mention comb heights being a bit too low on some manufacture res guns in 12g but you seem to manage very well with what looks like a really low comb on this 20g. Good shooting though...
Don't bother just get a twelve , shells are far to expensive . but saying that I only shoot clays ,and you don't see many top shots using twenty bores.🤨🤨🤦♂🤦♂👍👍.
@@tomas19cronin Have two 20g, one field mossberg gold reserve extended chokes fine turkish gun. The other a hatsan still lots of fun with a full choke in trap. 20=fun
David, I definitely heard a "f*c*in* 'ell" in there! Did you miss! Ha-ha!

Very useful video. Reminds me to calm down my swing when I am using my 20. Economy of movement is the key.

Good to know it also comes with an adjustable comb

Just bought a Browning 525 20 bore takes a bit of getting used to but love the lightness, thanks for the video been very helpful
I have a Berretta 687 EELL 20 bore that is just 1/2 ounce over 6 pound. Unusually, it has a straight hand stock. Very elegant and nice to shoot.
I like the picture in picture, seeing the clay and the shooter at the seam time, top video work.

Own a Browning citori in 20g with 28" barrels. Incredible dove and quail gun. Have taken a few pheasant as well with it.
Hi there .. sry to ask , what chokes do you use for hunting doves and quails , 4 and 3 maybe ?
Not for clay but rather for ruffed grouse I use a 20 o/u with 26" barrels and I'm 194cm. It was a large adjustment from my 32" pump 12 for geese.

I have a 725 20b and your right you Carnt swing it like a 12g that’s where a let my self down shooting it not slowing my self down
Around the 5:10 mark, love it !😁👍 I said the samething before

This is a good video, but you should do one on 28 gauge

What is your verdict on koffs 20 bore
Hi Dave. Can you tell me what make and size of cartridge you're using to shoot this 20 Bore please.

Where can I get that shooting vest?
I would be interested in a 20bore Pro with Adjustable Comb?

Which model of gun are you shooting in this video and are they available in the U.K.?
😂
Yildiz Pro 20 bore and yes they are for sale in the U.K if you give David a call on 01844 238 308 he will help you with this. Thanks TSC Team.
Language David ??
Thought it was my ears
The main thing is watch David head move the kick is so much less it's furore sporting than a 12 and I thought David liked being a sport man ha ha
Of course they are built like 12s....they are scaled down actions. Surely you are aware of this.
Don't bother just get a twelve , shells are far to expensive . but saying that I only shoot clays ,and you don't see many top shots using twenty bores.🤨🤨🤦♂🤦♂👍👍.
Nah mate get a good balanced 20 and u’ll never regret it, fun + finesse
I've a pair of Browning 12s and 20s. 4 superb guns. I haven't shot my 12s this game season. Love my 20s. 12s could be up for sale....
You got a 20 or shot one for a bit?
@@tomas19cronin If you're asking me, I've got 2 20s and have had them since 1996 but also have 12s

Tried a Miroku 20, smashing gun. Cartridges not cheap though. 12 bore for me.
