I just finished this on the base PS4, and I am somewhat suprised that it looked & performed closer to the Switch than the Series S based off what I've seen here. I think this'll definitely be worth a revisit on a more modern platform. Great video by the way!
Do we have any idea why the PS5 consistently requires more power than Series X for a similar result? Where does all that power go? Just extra heat to dissipate with its massive heatsink? lol
I'm in the dark with this one. It does seem it is related to this specific games, as other games did not show this, and I obviously had to cross check the power sockets. Something is using unnecessary credits if you ask me, look at Airbender, same stuff.
A 20-25W gap is typical. This game is an extreme outlier. I could only offer wild speculation as to the cause. This is not a graphically complex game. I'm guessing the Smartshift technology never actually turns on and both CPU and GPU are pegged at maximum frequency at all times. If that's the case, it's a strange quirk of the architecture.
@@MichaelM28 as a person who literally owns both i can confirm that the xbox should run the game better if the developers aren’t doing something wrong, the xbox is literally a whole ps4 more powerful than the ps5
Yeah looked cool, declined my request for keys though. WIll focus a bit more also on cloud gaming, i've managed to get realtime bandwith measurements. Still working on how to incorporate into the videos. Most likely I'll be able to round up this week with this addon.

Actually on Nintendo switch runs at 40 - 50 fps, buy almost never gets down of 30 fps
That is impossible because it is locked at 30 fps and it struggles to reach this mark, usually runas at 27-29.
