  • In this video, I show one of the challenge of being an expat in Thailand which is the need to do the 90 day reporting every 90 days. Sometimes it's easier if you could do it online, but sometimes it can be challenging if you live far from the immigration.

Bruh don’t even lead to leave the country every 90 days anymore. You can pay 8000 Baht for a six month “digital nomad” visa now, and you can keep renewing it.

Yes, that’s right. That’s a new visa called DTB. Good for 6 months, and can be renewed for another 6.

The only time I ever had to do it in person after I registered online was when I confused my extension date with my reporting date and tried to do it online 30 days late ... had to go in and do it in person and pay a 2,000 baht fine ... but the whole process took 15 minutes (they even filled the form out for me while I popped across the street to visit an ATM. When I got back the form was filled out ready for me to sign ... signed, got my receipt and went home.
Never had to go in person for a 90 day report since then ... you probably should have asked if you would be able to report online for the next 90 day report, they may not have been able to answer, but might be worth it to try! Good luck with the next report! :-)

Yes, it’s kind of easy to do online. Hopefully this time around I would be able to do it online. I have heard that some immigration officers if friendly they even let go off the 2,000 fine 555

Perhaps, they want to make sure you are still around. Why are you still hanging out in Korat these days.

Not sure about the issue. They never ask anything. So, I also don’t ask them anything. Come to meet a friend at a restaurant sometimes, and make videos too.

But it’s not that hard Bruce. For most people traveling far to the immigration is going to be the only issue with the 90 day reporting. Korat is a big province, the biggest one in Thailand. So, some people may even have to travel 200 km to get to the immigration.

@@annandsaminthailand Nice not to have headaches with Visas. Glad you can still get out and do videos 👍

@@annandsaminthailand Small price to pay if you want to stay in Thailand, that is just the way it is.
