This footage is F***ING AWESOME. How young they all look. Brian's guitar solo! Mick looking the most comfortable of the lot. An absolutely classic piece of rock & roll history, thanks for sharing 👍
I remember this. Had heard The Rolling Stones, first time seeing them and very impressed, specially Mick Jagger's great Rock n Roll loud voice. They weren't so famous then, just a bit.
“I Wanna Be Your Man” 8:35 “You Better Move On” 10:25 You’re welcome. This is the earliest surviving Stones live footage, by the way. Check out my big chronological Stones playlist. ua-cam.com/play/PLHahHqCn1CvnH3lg15U3hk7V8F4xbECbs.html
Reason it's the oldest surviving footage is because all the 1963 stuff was erased by the British Broadcasting Corporation to save money on videotape, way to go BBC....
@@leesanna7835 a toast & salute to whoever found the complete footage. Years ago, all that existed was a 15 second excerpt of the last few seconds. Maybe some of that lost 63 footage will be found someday....
Terrific. What a scoop to get the Rolling Stones singing live.! Just a shame this gem has encountered those thoughtless people who like to stick distracting digital clocks on old classic programmes.
I've just looked on IMDB for the show and they had other big name music acts of the time in various episodes: Gerry and the Pacemakers, Freddie and the Dreamers, Dave Clark Five, The Fortunes, Marty Wilde, Joe Brown, The Seekers, Lulu, Susan Maughan, Dickie Valentine, Alma Cogan, Anne Shelton, The Springfields, The Bachelors, Cleo Laine, Jackie Trent, Kathy Kirby, Julie Rogers, Acker Bilk Kenny Ball, Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson, Mikie and Griff and the Mudlarks.....
Hi, Thank you for posting this Arthur Haynes Show. Please tell me if this was an officially release DVD. I am trying to find a copy of this episode in the best possible quality. Thanks for you help.
Nicholas Parsons was very good in this. I'd only seen him act in the film the Big Job, because he was best known for Sale of The Century. Rolling Stones version of I Wanna Be Your Man is slightly better than the Beatles original in my opinion.
Thanks for posting! If you have a second, we posted a cover of Van Halen. As fellow music lovers, we'd love if you would take a listen. It's on our page. Don't be too tough on us :)
He had "run himself into the ground' and couldn't relax the pace, hence the early death. Like Hancock, he thought his fellow actors/comics were getting too much attention, hence the dumping of Nicholas Parsons for Dermot Kelly.
Can somebody tell me please this episode of the Arthur Haynes show was it included in the network released volumes if so what a volume was it released please number.

Thanks for reminding me why it great growing up in the sixties.
58 years later still touring, RIP Charlie, Brian

This was delightful! Thanks❤
I was a year old at this time, his shows were never repeated on TV, I've just seen clips from them
Classic show. I've got this on dvd.
Thank You!

They do it for licensing reasons mostly

Keith before he was Keef.
Doing some kind of John Lennon legwork!
brilliant
The same day the Beatles landed in NYC.
Very nice Beatles Stones historical synchronicity....

There was a dvd release The Arthur Haynes Show - Volume Five. I have not seen it so I can't say if the Stones segment is complete or not
The Irishman there later appeared in Fawlty Towers
Richard Thompson: The Irishman in this is Dermot Kelly. The Irishman in Fawlty Towers is David Kelly.
@@stormbird7954 That is correct, some newspaper said they were the same man long before you could look things up online

Way ahead of his time
Some know it all out there please give me the 3? upward sounding chords leading to "now i don't blame you" etc.

Arthur Haynes' character was brilliantly tiresome! He died too early in 1966
He had "run himself into the ground' and couldn't relax the pace, hence the early death. Like Hancock, he thought his fellow actors/comics were getting too much attention, hence the dumping of Nicholas Parsons for Dermot Kelly.
The performances were good, but those sketches were terrible
The Stones play live and good from around 8:37, but sorry, fangirls, Brian just can't sing
Brian & Bill did an ok job singing backup on an ok song. Nothing special at all, but of historical note.
I love when the director shows Keith doing nothing.@@Hiraeth796
