@@Genito6You right, Akuma just happened to be top tier 9 times out of 10 lol. I think this is one of the handful of times where you could consider Ken better than him (he might not be considered better anymore, I don’t really know. I don’t pay much attention to tier lists and haven’t kept up with this season’s)
@@trippersigs2248 because he's been a akuma specialist for awhile. The only reason he's not picking akuma is because Ken is more stable with more health and he's more used to him. He might swap later when he figures him out. Punk just proved how powerful akuma can be though.
I love watching these analysis. I'm real new to the FGC and SF6 has been a blast. These videos provide the entertainment value of watching highly skilled players combined with a knowledge dump of why certain plays are made it. Daigo's Akuma is so interesting to watch. Half of it is like Akuma is just standing there menacingly, the other half is the wildest callouts. And there's Jab > Forward Dash > ???, a combo to rival even the grindiest Evo and Capcom Cup champions.
I do like the change to Gief doing way more drive gauge damage, but I think someone in chat pointed out that maybe he's gaining too much at the same time.

It'd be so dumb if they nerf Zangief just because pro players don't want to face him. They've let characters like Ken continue to be strong, even after the balance patch. Just let Zangief be strong for a little while.

Is there going to be more of this? I love these videos! There's not a lot of enjoyment for me in watching SF6 without commentary, and Sajam is a great personality for it, too. And the gameplay is top notch of course
Hey sajam, at around 1:15:15 you say “[daigo’s] fundamental shoto play is just so good”. I wanted to know what you meant by that as I can see that daigo is a very good player but I’m wondering what part of his gameplay you consider to be fundamental to shotos. New to 2D fighters and have been playing shotos since I started so I’m curious what you think.
1:20:01 at this time, what did Sajam meant by leverless dp? did the crouch jab was daigo messing up the dp in a particular way that normally leverless do? I guess it was meant to be 323LP but daigo pressed LP on the 2 instead of the 3 and got hit because of that?
Would I be crazy for wanting Ed’s Forward HP to get buffed in a future patch? I’ve been picking him up off Brian F propaganda and I feel like that button is just lacking in purpose. It’s hyper-specific about confirms, not great on block, kinda slow for a move with no crush effects. At the very least, since he jumps, I’d like to see it be throw invul so you can DR meaty with it. Idk, I’m new to the boi, I’d appreciate anyone’s wisdom

The problem w air fireball is that you can react to some of them, jump over the air fireball and get a punish counter jump in
