I was aware that certain episodes of Ed, Edd n Eddy would be missing in the collection ever since Cartoon Network confirmed they were coming to DVD. I still haven't got my complete series box sets yet.
I'm wondering if it's because they didn't make it on Blu-ray like yet I know they probably couldn't scale up Ed Ed and Eddy to HD but they could have had more space to put the holiday episodes I am very sad to know that the Christmas episode won't be on there because I was one of my personal favorites growing up
Same sadly goes for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force: Baffler Meal box set. Basically, they excluded the infamous episode "Shake Like Me" which was where Shake got bitten by a radioactive black man and became a stereotyped black caricature, with the ability to jump high and and make clever rhymes, but can't swim. The episode was also pulled from HBO Max for being deemed "too racist" for television. Along with that, seasons 9 to 11 (Aqua Something You Know Whatever, Aqua TV Show Show, and ATHF Forever) surprisingly AREN'T uncensored.
That’s why I still bought this, if it doesn’t sell well there’s no chance the rest will get a release whereas if I do support it there is at least some chance.

I know Columbo on DVD has a flipper design that connects to the case where multiple discs are stacked on top of others in order to get everything to fit, but almost every TV show set I've picked up and have seen from other collectors I'm friends with that have more than 10 discs included in a singular case has a flipper style tray that doesn't actually connect to the case itself. That being said, definitely not a style of case I like and would prefer if studios would release more shows in multiple smaller flipper cases where these messes can be avoided.

I like what Shout Factory did with their sets for 'The Transformers'[1984], where they would seperate the discs out into slimcases held within a thicker case. That way, you get more cover art to look at, while also not having cumbersome cases that you have to unfold, which was the norm with TV series season/complete TV series DVD sets for the longest time!

Wisconsin king It’s amazing how Maxwell Atoms was fired because of that and even the other great Series Creators like McCracken went to pursue other series for other networks just because they disagreed with the firing of Atoms. Like the calling it a Hateful Fart Cartoon. Michael Ouweleen and Stuart Snyder fires Atoms because of this Pilot and yet allowed Teen Titans Go you know the one with Fart and Butt jokes in half of the episodes plus it is also a self-hating series.
Great video! Honestly, nothing strange about the Fosters DVD case. I prefer when the swing tray is detached, which is usually done for sets with a larger amount of discs. Stops the case getting damaged, and let's be honest, that's usually what happens with these larger boxsets. Shame they're so cheaply made! Same with the recent Aqua Teen Hunger Force set. Super disappointed to hear about the Ed boxset not having all the specials! I cancelled my pre-order once I heard about this.
The DVD case on Foster's is the exact same one Paramount used for the South Park 5-season DVD sets from years back (15 discs in each). Wasn't aware that case starts at 11 discs though so I'm surprised with this myself.
Was Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Complete Series DVD set made for fans? I don't think so because Ed, Edd n Eddy's Big Picture Show is like one of the most praised things ever in the history of the show and a really good finale movie. They are not even bothered to include the finale movie on Ed, Edd n Eddy: The Complete Series DVD set, making it feel very incomplete along the missing holiday specials.
This is just what we call milking it. If this Boxset does well, then they can put out the Movie and the Specials together in a separate release so they can gain extra money for doing so.

It was known from the beginning that the specials and the movie would be missing from the EEnE box set. The back cover implies so if you go to Amazon and see the episode count is missing the 3 specials and movie. Also, the Eds are coming is not a special, it's part of the fourth season (or maybe the fifth?) but most people and the Wikipedia call it a special just because it was broadcast during a special event on Cartoon Network that lasted a month. But no, it's part of the regular episode count.
TBH with you, this isn't actually the first time a Complete Series DVDs of Cartoon Network shows had episodes missing. I have the complete series of Courage the Cowardly Dog and it seems to be missing the original pilot from the What A Cartoon! series as well as The Fog of Courage spin-off short.
$70 for rushed half backed box sets thanks WB, I love both these shows and have always wanted to own them on DVD, being a collector, I wish CN and WB would take exsamples from Nick's DVD releases, heck the latest Hey Arnold box set had all episodes, specials, and both movies for around $40 to $50 depending on where your shopping.

The Grim Adventures of the Kids Next Door wasn't a well-received crossover with fans of the respective shows. Some if not most probably wouldn't even care for the lack of it.
Another problem with the fosters set and hbo max version atm is the destination imagination film is presented and cropped at 4:3 when it was actually made in 16:9 widescreen and cropped for tv in the States
All of the people defending Cartoon Network on this so called "30th Anniversary ". 🙄 Makes me happy and proud to see the channel's glory days during the 10th and even 20th anniversaries when the channel put pride and effort. I honestly don't care if the channel dies at this point.

The channel was pretty much dead to me when MAD ended. MAD was the very last show I watched on Cartoon Network and it was the last GOOD show Cartoon Network aired after Ed, Edd n Eddy, Billy & Mandy, Foster's Home, Codename: Kids Next Door and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi ended and after the channel stopped re-running episodes of Dexter's Laboratory.

They better release the ed edd n eddy specials and movie on a separate dvd although I'm not holding my breath. I think i found a site or whatever to watch the movie but i don't know how reliable it is.
Like this ed edd n eddy box set is the worst of the worst. They didnt include the christmas specials or the finale movie with their most popular show. Anything else they do wouldnt surprise me.
So the case for fosters home for imaginary friends is exactly the same as the thunder cats dvd box set which I have. Very cheaply made I was upset when they released it like that because if your not careful it can damage the discs would recommend canceling your second order of it. (haven’t gotten mine yet) but does it also include the shorts like driving miss crazy, bad to the phone, neighborhood wash, there were about 18 of them
I just checked and no it does not. It only has the special features from the Season 1 and 2 DVD sets. It also lists Destination Imagination as being a "bonus" episode.
D.C. Network OG. The 2011 series was just in standard DVD cases in 3 Volumes and a standard Complete Blu-ray Set from Warner Archives making it a Manufacture On Demand release.

Could be an issue of copyright, manufacturing costs, digitizing the contents onto disc, who knows?? It’s a mystery. Also, I remember watching the EEnE holiday specials on UA-cam in the late 2000’s, so I wouldn’t consider it “lost media” if someone out there already has the files for it.
I get the feeling they'll probably release the holiday specials and the movie separately on HBO Max and DVD at some point as I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't release them at all.
At first when I heard the news about these complete series box sets I was super happy and excited. I was looking forward to it so much I went ahead and pre-ordered both DVD’s off of Amazon. It was delivered to me today and let me tell you as a huge fan of the older Cartoon Network shows like Ed Edd n’ Eddy and Foster’s Home, I am very disappointed with how these DVD’s turned out. It’s like Cartoon Network or whoever made these DVD’s barely put in any effort. One big thing I noticed was that the episodes were not in full screen. One of the reasons I love watching from a DVD is that it’s full screen. The first season of Ed Edd n’ Eddy had their episodes in full screen but go over to season 3 and it’s half screen. You can tell that they just used the complete first and second season DVD’s and then just pulled off the rest of the episodes from HBO Max or something. Seems a bit lazy for a 30th anniversary DVD box set. The DVD cases look alright I guess, although they could’ve done more. I don’t know. I’m not satisfied with these DVD’s and I’m disappointed with Cartoon Network, so I’m gonna just return it.
At this point It seems as though WB just loves to gatekeep certain properties. No matter how much we let it be known or how much it doesn’t make sense. Its like WB just does not want their fans happy or content, they always seem to half ass or not give anything at all for us fans.
I ordered both. My fosters seems fine. Haven't opened it but it doesn't seem loose. I am really saddened that the specials and the movie are missing. Jingle, jingle jangle is my peanuts Christmas movie. I'd watch that every year

It is very odd to include holiday specials on one disc of a different series and completely remove them from the others but I'm wondering if it's like a storage issue because DVDs can only hold so many episodes maybe It is also just very weird that the Christmas special for Ed Edd n Eddy and the Halloween special and one other holiday special is not on there why would they call it the complete series then is it possible this could be an error on the makers of the set

Warner Bros. DVDs seem to be really flimsy lately. Cases for DVDs I got for Animaniacs, The Looney Tunes Show, and Unikitty have been cracked with the disc holders just floating around in the case
That’s better than my Viz Media Blu-rays and a couple Funimation titles where the disc doesn’t snap onto the disc hub that holds the disc. It happens sometimes on their 4 disc Blu-ray cases. I keep trying to force the disc to stay on the disc hub on the case but it just won’t stay. While I know Blu-ray Discs are stronger than DVDs but they can still snap if I force it too hard into the case.
I really wish they'd release the second season of The Looney Tunes Show on DVD. For some reason they released all of Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. but not The Looney Tunes Show.

Not a production issue, think it was made like that, which is very annoying. My copy arrived like it too. Originally, I wanted to keep it sealed but I heard something rattling around inside, so I opened it up and it was just the pages of discs because they’re not attached. Warner are just lazy, they think that we’ll buy it just cause it’s the complete series… and they’re right, we did.

Eventually people are just going to learn to make there own physical media for this exact reason. This flat out shouldn’t of happened. I bought a Malaysian Bootleg COMPLETE Series DVD Boxset of Initial-D off Ebay called the “Ultimate Collection” and its higher quality then some of the Actual Movies I buy. Every. Single. Episode. Also! The three “Legend” movies all subbed and dubbed. That’s literally impossible to get in a official capacity without spending an arm and leg.

The Fosters DVD set isn't just a WB issue. Paramount released many TV shows in this case style years ago.

OK KO Fan 2006 Warner has the full ability to put Camp Lazlo on DVD. In fact Boomerang still airs the series.

The channel was pretty much dead to me when MAD ended. MAD was the very last show I watched on Cartoon Network and it was the last GOOD show Cartoon Network aired after Ed, Edd n Eddy, Billy & Mandy, Foster's Home, Codename: Kids Next Door and Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi ended and after the channel stopped re-running episodes of Dexter's Laboratory.
I remember that Alien Promotion with those shows having an alien themed episode that week.
I Think They Will Release Big Picture Show Seperately

They better release the ed edd n eddy specials and movie on a separate dvd although I'm not holding my breath. I think i found a site or whatever to watch the movie but i don't know how reliable it is.
Like this ed edd n eddy box set is the worst of the worst. They didnt include the christmas specials or the finale movie with their most popular show. Anything else they do wouldnt surprise me.
So the case for fosters home for imaginary friends is exactly the same as the thunder cats dvd box set which I have. Very cheaply made I was upset when they released it like that because if your not careful it can damage the discs would recommend canceling your second order of it. (haven’t gotten mine yet) but does it also include the shorts like driving miss crazy, bad to the phone, neighborhood wash, there were about 18 of them
I just checked and no it does not. It only has the special features from the Season 1 and 2 DVD sets. It also lists Destination Imagination as being a "bonus" episode.
Also, which Thundercats show is that for? The 2012 one or OG?
D.C. Network OG. The 2011 series was just in standard DVD cases in 3 Volumes and a standard Complete Blu-ray Set from Warner Archives making it a Manufacture On Demand release.
@@DCNetwork it was for the OG. I enjoy the show but I didn’t think they would use a dvd case like that. Sucks foster home for imaginary friends has that dvd case And dang it doesn’t have the 18 shorts that really sucks it will be lost media basically.
Could be an issue of copyright, manufacturing costs, digitizing the contents onto disc, who knows?? It’s a mystery. Also, I remember watching the EEnE holiday specials on UA-cam in the late 2000’s, so I wouldn’t consider it “lost media” if someone out there already has the files for it.
That and the Christmas Rock dvd has the Ed Christmas episode
I get the feeling they'll probably release the holiday specials and the movie separately on HBO Max and DVD at some point as I can't think of any reason why they wouldn't release them at all.
At first when I heard the news about these complete series box sets I was super happy and excited. I was looking forward to it so much I went ahead and pre-ordered both DVD’s off of Amazon. It was delivered to me today and let me tell you as a huge fan of the older Cartoon Network shows like Ed Edd n’ Eddy and Foster’s Home, I am very disappointed with how these DVD’s turned out. It’s like Cartoon Network or whoever made these DVD’s barely put in any effort. One big thing I noticed was that the episodes were not in full screen. One of the reasons I love watching from a DVD is that it’s full screen. The first season of Ed Edd n’ Eddy had their episodes in full screen but go over to season 3 and it’s half screen. You can tell that they just used the complete first and second season DVD’s and then just pulled off the rest of the episodes from HBO Max or something. Seems a bit lazy for a 30th anniversary DVD box set. The DVD cases look alright I guess, although they could’ve done more. I don’t know. I’m not satisfied with these DVD’s and I’m disappointed with Cartoon Network, so I’m gonna just return it.
I hope you do the same for Code name: Kids Next Door, Dexter's Laboratory, and Johnny Bravo when those come out with their complete series box sets

At this point It seems as though WB just loves to gatekeep certain properties. No matter how much we let it be known or how much it doesn’t make sense. Its like WB just does not want their fans happy or content, they always seem to half ass or not give anything at all for us fans.

It is very odd to include holiday specials on one disc of a different series and completely remove them from the others but I'm wondering if it's like a storage issue because DVDs can only hold so many episodes maybe It is also just very weird that the Christmas special for Ed Edd n Eddy and the Halloween special and one other holiday special is not on there why would they call it the complete series then is it possible this could be an error on the makers of the set
Big picture show is not on HBO Max I checked the only way to watch it is to sail the high seas

Warner Bros. DVDs seem to be really flimsy lately. Cases for DVDs I got for Animaniacs, The Looney Tunes Show, and Unikitty have been cracked with the disc holders just floating around in the case
That’s better than my Viz Media Blu-rays and a couple Funimation titles where the disc doesn’t snap onto the disc hub that holds the disc. It happens sometimes on their 4 disc Blu-ray cases. I keep trying to force the disc to stay on the disc hub on the case but it just won’t stay. While I know Blu-ray Discs are stronger than DVDs but they can still snap if I force it too hard into the case.
I really wish they'd release the second season of The Looney Tunes Show on DVD. For some reason they released all of Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. but not The Looney Tunes Show.

The Real Problem With The Ed Edd N Eddy Boxset Is It Does Not Include The Two Episodes Of Season Six The Holiday Specials Are Not A Problem As I Am Certain You Can Get Them On Dvd The Benefit Of Getting This Is You Get Seasons Three Four And Five On Dvd Though It Would Of Been Nice To Get Season Six Even If It Was Only Two Episodes

Not a production issue, think it was made like that, which is very annoying. My copy arrived like it too. Originally, I wanted to keep it sealed but I heard something rattling around inside, so I opened it up and it was just the pages of discs because they’re not attached. Warner are just lazy, they think that we’ll buy it just cause it’s the complete series… and they’re right, we did.

Eventually people are just going to learn to make there own physical media for this exact reason. This flat out shouldn’t of happened. I bought a Malaysian Bootleg COMPLETE Series DVD Boxset of Initial-D off Ebay called the “Ultimate Collection” and its higher quality then some of the Actual Movies I buy. Every. Single. Episode. Also! The three “Legend” movies all subbed and dubbed. That’s literally impossible to get in a official capacity without spending an arm and leg.
