That comeback for the Dark Elves is why SFO is such an incredible mod.
Sometimes we get into a bit of a rut with vanilla, but SFO is such an incredible and exciting game changer that makes for s many amazing replays.
Keep up the good work showcasing what community mods can add to the game. They really are the lifeblood of Total War.

you'd be surprised how effective fear/terror/leadership is. it can turn the most difficult battles into your favor. key is keeping your lord next to a big beasty to keep the morale of the beasty up when its in dire straits
I like the changes to final transmutation. I'm not really a fan of lord sniping direct damage spells but I still take those over army sniping direct damage spells that take like a third off the hp of any kind of unit in an aoe. Although I still feel like it shouldn't do that much damage. That almost looks like it could just outright kill certain lords without a way to prevent it in a single cast.
I think it's extremely unfluffy and just yet another lord sniping spell. In reality it should have a very low chance to instantly kill each model in a unit with each model being rolled separately. In return it should be an extremely high cost spell, in tabletop if you wanted to cast FT you wouldn't be casting much else.
Also, they need to have miscast chances on the high level spells even without any overcasting, on top of the cost of casting spells like that in tabletop, you ran a very high risk of miscasting so it was always a risky move.
Maybe also have different kinds of miscast penalty than just "The wizard gets a boo boo" Have things like army wide (Or radius on wizard) debuffs or the wizard losing certain spells for the battle. At least then it isn't just something you can regen away. Skaven offensive spells could just change target to a random Skaven unit in range.

The more I watch your videos while I'm reading again the books of the End Times, I think it would be awesome if you could get some players and use the armies described in the books to do some pretty narrative battles.

ill be honest with the kharybdis stats at 0 warp chicken did like 3k damage in the engage men. It was a clutch moment to take out the kharybdis good gamble.

those guys at 0:48 look sick. Imo I LOVE troops that have one sword instead of two. I think CA was afraid it'd look strange having one hand empty when they added all these dual sword infantry. No lie Lohkir would look incredible fighting with one sword, using the other hand to direct troops or to swing with both hands for a bloody slash
I always see the same thing with sarthorael, he needs to keep moving. Sfo, vanilla, doesn't matter always keep him on the go. When you don't you lose the game...

Get this for vastly more glorious battles. Get historical titles for Human Spearmen vs. Human Spearmen battles and better diplomacy etc.

How are you able to run SFO multiplayer? On vanilla launcher it won’t let me play with anyone using just SFO - “different version of the game.” How do you get around this?

i mean, you watched the video right? terror routing enemies and dealing lots of damage is pretty good
@@milkandcookiesTW true. In the mod does work, but to me makes the game less viable due to the lack of logic of it. Truly it would have been the first thing on the field to die. Just a few hundred arrows should have been more then enough to dispose of a monster with no armor and 100% exposed flesh. Therefore it makes me cringe
@@milkandcookiesTW then again the chaos lord was slow and stupid. Would have prolly died before anyone on chaos just due to the speed and clumsiness of the character. I mean just take out a leg and watch him fall. More strategic and less hyper mechanics to improve these clunky creatures. And what's the point of archers if they cannot kill a target that big and easy to hit?

lots of monsters in Warhammer have super tough, ironhard skin. you're extrapolating real world logic to fantasy creatures on a planet bred to kill. I mean sure, a Wolf or a Buffalo or an Elephant couldnt take dozens of arrows to the side and live, but Warhammer creatures arent the same, they've evolved differently and yes, some of them are incredibly resilient to damage. in the case of the Lord of Change, its a Greater Daemon of pure magic that can control time, cast insanely powerful spells, and other crazy stuff. the missile resist helps represent the ward save and ability to avoid damage it has in both the tabletop source material and in the lore

Steel Faith Overhaul mod. Changes everything about the game and adds alot of cool stuff. Be warned that if you play it once vanilla will not feel the same anymore.

@@nicholasjackson106 I can't tell you exactly everything, since it's alot. You may be able to find a huge list of changes somewhere if you google it.
But to give you a gist of it: the latest patch reworked both Bretonnia and Chaos. Chaos in particular was pretty awesome, since you can now dedicate yourself to a single chaos god on the campaign map. You can recruit specific units for all the four chaos gods and settle specific settlements to create chaos strongholds, of which middenheim is very special (but i won't spoil why). There's alot more, but there's only so much i can tell you in a youtube comment.

The knight's of the ebon claw shouldn't have just 9 men. I thought SFO was also more lore accurate but maybe that was another overhaul.

heyo anyone know how to play these type of matches and ffa's when quick battle and multiplayer aren't working? like a chat or something that sets up custom matches? bought the game a few days ago after watching these vids, still haven't found a match though-_- anyway mad vid
Are you trying to do quick battles with the sfo mod active? Or do multiplayer in vanilla?
ooshgasm I'm not sure about the differences but I don't have any mods on atm so I'd guess vanilla
@@yeahnahhm8995 okay, with no mods on you should be able to find matches through quick battle. There was a server bug or something at CA/Steam over the last few days which meant you couldn't get matches. You should be good now though. I can also link you to a couple discords where you can meet players if keen
