Got the axe and ran sims last night to update some info and because I was curious. Frost was simming way higher so been trying to learn it and this helped a ton.
So well described, been playing unholy with the hope of going over to frost (Really dislike unholy, hate pets), but havnt been able to get close in damage. Just implementing the priority list helped me sustain 380k aoe instead of previous 290k on dummies. Which is alot closer to my 420k on unholy. So happy to actually be able to play around with frost for real, thank you so much!
4;10 I kinda love that we overflow on runic power for the fact alone that it makes me feel more safe to basically always have death strike ready in case I need it. Unholy feels like it has a lot less "spare" runic power.
I've seen quite a few times in this videos you running out of runes. Whats your thoughts on frost dk tendecy to go in downtime? Should blizzard do something about it? I hate when I'm just standing there and doing nothing feels like i'm playing vanilla and not retail. I'd rather have a filler aibility.

Nice guide! How are your Obliterates hitting for 200k+? I’m ilvl 462 and mine hit for around 100-150k. I only see them go over 200k on rare occasion. Is it a matter of ilvl or is there a trick to getting bigger Oblits?

I get it, that they are all for different starts to our pillarwindow, depending on the number of Enemies, icy talon-buffduration, boss-health-percentage (and cd on soul reaper) and a potential rime proc. But what would be the correct start, if pillar is coming off cd, I dumped some runic power, regenerated some runes and now i can start into pillar but already got two Killing Machine-Procs waiting for consumption? An additional Macro, that instantly obliterates?
What is that Frostreaper talent modification, that is supposed to make KM proc Oblits turn into Frost damage? I can't find that anywhere and also don't see any Oblit damage being Frost.
@@Bicepspump Alright, thanks for the clarification! But is that actually being applied or might this be like an old passive? Because there are neither ingame tooltips for this, nor is there any Frost damage on Oblit in Warcraftlogs. It's all physical there.
So, it appears Kazak in the death knight discord disagrees with you on frost strike and obliterate. On wowhead he has frost strike over a naked obliterate because FS does more damage than a naked obliterate
Hi Biceps! this has nothing to do with the video, but i feel you are an influencer with the WOW dev team and i need to share a few complaints with Chill Streak. First off it has a 40 yd. range, yet its bounce does not. In addition, i have left a mob just out of melee and it cancels. Furthermore, there is no Chill Streak protection as in u are in an M+ , and your chill streak happens to bounce to the first mob that's gonna die and it cancels. imo a tier set should not include an ability that would cancel. it feels so bad and happens to me consistently, my solution would be chill streak would be a remorseless winter buff or something. this was a real bad design. please help.

ive always been an unholy dk but feel like theres too many things to keep track of. going to try some frost tonight in raid thanks to this guide

Frost currently has tons of resources tbh, very little actual downtime

Those are part of my twitch sub package. Same with double KM but there are ones on wago as well

Yes, I mentioned that at the end. Pillar and then Oblit as a macro

We learn it by default at lvl 28

He also has obliterate KM over rime
Obliterate KM is over Rime inside of Pillar, outside you need two KMs before you oblit over rime@@Phantom_Anthem
We generally prioritise Oblit due to Gathering Storm as well as Rime procs
