Hope needs affection and to feel love. When was the last time she even got a hug? When she lost her parents? Alaric loves her and looks after her. Treats her like his own. But theres one thing missing from these father figure moments between him and Hope which is affection. LIzzy and Josie gets jealous of the amount time their father spends with Hope. Dispite how wrong that is at leas he let's he tells them he loves them instead of just walking away to help Hope. Hope barely gets shown any affection since she became an orphan at 15 if any at all. I feel more for Hope then the twins even though I agree with them on their dad at leas he shows them affection and gives them a hug when he realise he hurt them. Though Hope was wrong for what she did with that death magic spell. But at leas she didn't go through with it and she even struggled to kill that dragon lady. Alaric was too harsh with Hope. Then he he told her to burrie the Lady then he just turned his back on a grieving Hope. Walking away with "I'll see you back at the car" then when she returns and ask where Rafeal and Ladon is? Alaric gives one word gone hands her a letter from Ladon then once again turned away from Hope. Next we see Hope she's in her room still reading that letter and staring at her family photos crying. I know Alaric loves Hope as his own but why doesn't he give her hugs? Show her some sort of affection. Right here is what Hope's parents fear and try to avoid happening to their daughter. That she'll feel unloved or less love. She may have a home and someone treating her as his own. But that's not enough. Orphans need to constantly be shown affection to know their loved or their have doubts and believe lies that no one cares.

I know Alaric thinks of Hope as a daughter and his trying to keep her on the right path. I know he went to check on his daughters and hug them because after reading Ladons letter to Hope her realised how much his hurt his daughters. The thing about him saying what he said about Hope as if she would've actually went through with the death spell is the fact he should realised that if she was like her father she would've went through with it and Landon would be no more. Also she struggled on killing dragon lady. Or did Alraic forget about that. Hope ripping death spell out of book and bringing it with her doesn't mean that she would've actually used it. Shes too good hearted. Having hatred and revenge on mind dont count to her becoming like her father if she don't actually act on it. If Hope where gonna use it she would have instead all she did was toss Ladon into a wall.

Other than Landon, the only time she hugged anyone when she NEEDED a hug (she hugged people in a "omg ur alive" "I'm sorry" or a "thank u" way a few times but her NEEDING one is RARE) was a total of 3 times all in season 2 When she got back from Malivore and saw Josie n Landon together she was broken and it took a LOT but when Landon gave her the peanut butter blast whipped cream on the bottom milkshake and told her he had no idea why he ordered it - she BROKE DOWN and went to Alaric. She finally told him she knows he doesn't remember her but he is the closest thing she had to a father now and she hugged him and he hugged her back while she cried thank God because he knew Malivore would earse people's existence and could tell she needed it. The second time was ALSO Josie when Josie gave everyone their memories of her back and she proceeded to ask Josie if it was okay with her if she came back to the school. When Josie told her it was okay n it's her home n she should of course she hugged her because she needed it and got her friends back n Josie she was closest to Then it was when Josie hit her aunt Freya with the spell to purge malivores black magic effect from her mind and make her remember Hope and it knocked Freya out but she woke up and got to mystic falls that NIGHT to see her niece and the look on Hope's face was heartbreaking because she NEEDED her aunt and finally had her remember her
He's new character and everything but am i the only one who feels sorry for landon? He doesn't have a home. Nobody cares for him except rafael and they were going to lock him up for a lot more that one day just because they couldn't compel him.

I always keep daydreaming the day she will see her parents again and I hope that happens. She doesn’t need to die but hopefully the writers will write a storyline where she is under some spell or unconscious and sees who she loves most, which is her parents. I just imagine her waking up in a forest and hearing talking near a glowing light which turns out to be a campfire. When she reaches closer she sees the backs of Klaus and Hayley sitting next to each other facing the fire. Then she calls for them and they turn around in shock but instantly runs over to embrace their daughter and tell her that she is loved and that they are so proud of her and are always with her even when she feels empty. Though she probably still feels guilty it’s not her fault and she should feel guilty because they aren’t alone since they have each other and the joy of watching over her everyday. They can tell her it’s ok to feel and be sad sometimes and how she needs to be brave, strong, happy and remember that they love her always and forever.

Of course, there is a possibility that the leaker luckily only predicted episodes 1 & 2 right and the rest will be bullshit. Though, the promo for episode 3 indicated that things the leaker made up, will happen. Also, some of Plec's interviews have already confirmed some of the things the leaker has leaked for later episodes, and some interviews strongly indicate that a few other things will also go as the leaker has predicted.
What I'm saying that we all though the leaker was full of shit until the things started to go exactly as the leaker had "foretold".

But hope feels so alone has lost her mum, dad, uncle, and the rest of the family is scattered and will probably die out. On top of that she has no friends, the poor girl is going through so much pain.

Probably because that moment was about Klaus not Hayley. Rikk made Hope realise that she was becoming her father something she promise Klaus she wouldn't be. She had promised to do right by their name and make him proud. But by what she's doing she's breaking that promise.
