    Wow. Great video. I had never heard of the show before. I certainly had no idea Austin Powers was based on this. I think I’m going to check out an episode or two. Thanks. 😎👍

      Its a great, silly and well written James Bond type TV series. Some of Jason Kings suits were pretty stylish as well. Great and convincing fight scenes!

    My dad worked on both Department S and Jason King. Everyone know what he liked and had two onset nicknames. Peter Petunia and Petula Winegums. Very Tom of Finland. hahaha

      @@warblobb2895the Petunia Winegum story come from The Avengers when Peter was filming Epic, his biography is very good read and clears up lots of myths about Peter.

    Nice video but BTW "Woke" originally referred to being aware of black history slavery etc and came out of the Civil Rights Movement in the United States but now has broadened it definition to include awareness of the struggles of all people who are disadvantaged by the majority, disabled people etc. So better being woke than ignorant of these things.

    67 year old American here. I was around back then, but being an American, I never got to see his work. Now I'm really sorry about that. Would have been fun.

      @@warblobb2895 his performance was dynamic. I felt he may have been schooled in Shakespeare like so many were, Diana Rigg as well who I saw perform McBeth in London in ‘72.

      @@melodyebuskin5490 interesting you say that. Not a lot is known about wyngardes early years and schooling. Theres a lot of speculation he grew up in a POW camp dating WW2. Where did he learn Shakespeare do u think?

    The trouble with Jason King is that he just looks ridiculous, and actually is ridiculous, just as all of his adventures are ridiculous. Not that there isn't fun along the way. And yes, I constantly have adoring women coming round to feed me strawberries and champagne.
