Karin's moon scorched form in a way very striking to me as it represents two different and opposite meanings: A brave and kind valkyrie who immortalizes sacrifices and bravery of soldiers who died on battlefield through her stories while bringing attention of ignorant masses to suffering of the survivors . Or An arrogant, attention seeking vulture who folks to carcasses on battlefield to look for interesting stories in order create gossip or to get reaction from masses at expense of peace of both surviving and fighting, making their struggles less meaningful, all for her own profit.
dude the detail in this is insane.. Just from that beginning part i can tell so much about Karin and Daan if i didint even have prior knowledge to fear & hunger of any kind Like in the map scene, Daans is shabby, crinkled and falling apart whilst Karin's is framed and you cant splot a single imperfection in it. She stands proudly whilst he just has his hands fallen to his side. with the suitcases, Karin's is packed neatly whilst daan stuffs his and shoves it closed the scene with per'kele, karin looks down at her feet and daan up at Rher. Daan looks small whilst Karin to the audience is imposing. Further enforces the themes of opposites but also gives us more context about their personalities- in alot of these scenes theyre matching or opposites, similar yet so different. Daan slowly blushing whilst the Sky turns yellow as he looks at the barricades makes me so happy toooo hjfgdhghsh its honestly adorable. and in the little montage we get of them we can see them both blushing at eachother. another nice detail i spotted is that in the scene where theyre at the bar, the cat and bird sillhouete is specifically showing a vulture, nice callback this is perfect and makes me smile so much, thank you for this

I absolutely adore this art style, and if more exactly this color choice I mean, everything is black/white, and characters have their own colors, which completely describe them, and therefore, when there's yellow, it's like "ah yes, it'd Karin."
This is awfully beautiful, I love what you did with the colours!! Showing how they came for different reasons, they experienced things differently, but eventually they get along in their spiky little way. I love them so much, amazing work!!!
Love how this video is both a fantastic animation and also a gateway to some great music. Having it feature some of my favorite characters in the game certainly doesn't hurt either. Way to go!
