Abbey you’re so right about hydration. I’m an esthetician and I’m honestly over all of the hyaluronic acid and niacinamide in everything. I live in an environment that goes back and forth on its humidity levels. I’ve had to break out my humidifier again because of the drought. The humidifier and silk pillowcase help my hair more than hyaluronic acid ever would.
I love all the product reviews and how informational you are about them all!!! But I’d love to see a “day in the life” or a “grwm” type of video ❤️ xo!!
My hairstylist told me there is no such thing as a “heat protectant”… would love to hear your take on this! The hair hydration thing is super interesting! 💜
I saw a video of a girl spraying a piece of bread on one side with heat protection and the side she sprayed came out white while the other was toasted, it was interesing maybe it does work or maybe it only did that cuz it was wet?! look it up haha
Heat protectants are meant to decrease heat damage to your hair. They won't completey protect from heat damage but they can absolutely help minimize damage. I use an amino keratin spray and a blow dry cream that helps to wick water faster while blow drying to help dry hair quicker at a lower temperature. I know this is only anecdotal, but I have noticed a tremendous difference in the health of my hair since using them. I also use the absolute lowest heat settings I can on my hair and I do not heat style daily. Unfortunately there is no single product or method that will 100% protect from heat damage other than not using heat at all.
Abbey I’d love to see a video on hair hydration! I’m sort of confused why it’s bad if your hair is wet, but you want to moisturize your hair and oil is good…would be a great video to clarify :)
Abbey, I have just found your chanel. You have a wonderful way of speaking and interacting with the camera. I am a hair stylist and am pumped that you are educating people about the difference in ingredients between skin and hair products. I just finished watching your video of products that have been so hyped, and you give even better alternatives. I also have sensitive skin and appreciate your commitment to best practice ingredients. Thanks and I look forward to more from you.
Hi Abbey ❤, Really enjoying this series 🥰. I would really love to see a video 📹 of the brand's that have stepped it up a notch in your opinion and you would always give your honest opinion.
I just recently discovered you while researching self tanners and love all of your videos I’ve seen so far. Have you done a video yet on your favorite products to keep your hair feeling soft and “hydrated” (for lack of a better term) between washes?
Love the Makeup by Mario Soft sculpt transforming skin enhancer!!!! Even on no makeup makeup days, just to warm up the skin, it looks so natural! Definitely not over hyped!
To anyone that might be reading this, I wish that whatever is hurting you or whatever you are constantly stressing about gets better. May the dark thoughts, the overthinking, the doubt exit your mind right now. May clarity replace confusion. May peace and calmness fill your life... even tho current times are challenging and some of you might go through tough times now I sincerely wish everyone that happiness enters your hearts and let all the stress and sadness vanish out of your life...as you know nothing in life is ever easy, but what's important is that you keep going! you're worthy of love and happiness, never allow anyone to tell you otherwise! It can be extra hard sometimes but stay strong and hang in there, your life matters, no one can replace you, I'm thankful you're born and I'm sure your struggles will pass soon! I wish all of you plenty of health and strength during any current tough times you face. Remember you are strong, you got this! never forget that! sending much love over towards all of you, May god or whatever you might believe in bless you the way you need it to! ♥️🌟
Love your videos! I would love to see a video of all the hair products you use from after washing, to styling and post styling! Your hair is looking even more amazing and healthy recently btw! What do you think has really elevated your hair health the most? 🤍
I would love a video on things like shower caps, silk hair ties, silk hair wraps, etc. I know you’ve talked about protective hair styles before, but as my hair grows longer I’m feeling like maybe these other things may be helpful. Reviews are so inconsistent on these silk hair products! I do use a silk pillowcase but that doesn’t see to be enough. Do other people even use shower caps or am I just a grandma 😂 I have been using cheap dollar store one, unsure if a “nicer” one is worth it.
New subscriber! I’ve already learned a ton about hair care and my nemesis *hard water*. Would you consider dropping a drugstore hair care routine for hard water/breakage?
I tried the Oribe gold lust mini set and I wasn’t overly impressed for the price of those products! Great video, we need a part 3 🙌🏽 also I totally agree, bliss is stepping it up!
Yes definitely keep it going, part 3, 4, 5, etc. Love hearing about things in the makeup, skin world, I don't know about. Thanks for all your hard work Abbey:) AND...yes to "brands that have stepped it up."
Great video! I wanted to try the Amika overnight as well. And the charlotte tilbury products. Do you have any Aveda hair care reviews? I would like to see that too
That amika product reminds me of the Moroccanoil mending infusion styling hair serum. It’s meant for slip ends but I use it for frizz. It’s extremely light no matter how much product you use. I went thru my bottle so fast. It’s become a holy grail product.
For the dry skin people the ilia serum is so nice! It definitely does pill if you rub it too, I use it after moisturizer and just pat it in. If I just pat it in I don’t get the pilling
LOVE spending my mornings with you girl . You absolutely kill it at reviews!! All the effort and hard work you put into your videos never goes unnoticed!! Love you chica❤️
I love the Amika packaging but I’m always nervous about glass bottles that are kept in the bathroom (especially the shower). I am super curious about this product & have a sample I’m waiting to use. I’m curious where you use it in your haircare routine? I’ve been pretty much using your weekly hair washing routine, with a couple of tweaks to suit my needs & I’m wondering where to fit this in? Also, my initial interest in this bc I have low porosity hair & I thought this might be beneficial. Is that even going to be a thing? Thanks for all your help - your haircare videos are my official go-to ❤️
Abbey seriously, you never need to wear makeup. You are so so pretty without it!! Very lucky young lady! So enjoy and appreciate the hard work and helpful info you put into every video. Thank you!! ( love your new background too!🫶🏻)
Always appreciative of these types of videos. Helps me make better decisions when buying a product and not waste money. Would love to know your thoughts on the Nars Laguna Bronzing Cream. Also, can’t wait for the Charlotte Tilbury video!
I love Bliss Block Star sunscreen. It’s a mineral but so creamy and not drying to my dry skin. Unfortunately it comes in only 1 tint but I can work with that.
I feel like the Ilia serum is such a miss....I was interested but I'm glad I resisted buying it, especially at that price point. But you've convinced me to throw in a luminous putty blush or 2 with my next Elf purchase. Re: the Saie concealer.....I LOVE the formula, but I totally agree with you on the shade range. I hope they introduce more soon!!
I love your reviews because I feel like we have the same skin concerns and things we value. 🥰 Hope you can include Haruharu products, been wanting to try those!
At first I wasn’t at all interested in the confusing Makeup By Mario releases, but it seems everyone is loving the cream one for bronzer. I may just have to try it!
I recently tried the IGK Extra Love Volumizing & Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner and the IGK Good Behavior 4 in 1 Detangling Prep Stray and I loved all 3 I have short kinda pixie hair that’s fine thin and that IGK Extra Love Shampoo and Conditioner made my hair have volume and fluffy soft and the 4 in 1 prep spray is amazing it didn’t weigh down my hair it kinda reminds me of it’s a 10 leave in conditioner spray but way better because it’s a 10 weighed my hair down but the IGK one didn’t it still gave my hair volume, shine it’s just a miracle product for me 😊❤ I also tried IGK permanent hair color kit in Shade Black and absolutely loved it
You mentioned a lack of drugstore/affordable exfoliators… Bubble just released new products, one of which is an exfoliating mask 👀 would be cool to see a review I think this product is only available online right now, but the rest of the brand’s line is in Walmart.
Love this! Thank you for saving me money on IIia!! I have been debating on that for awhile. I am totally gonna try the Make Up by Mario now and the Bliss exfoliating product! ALSO....what brush are you using when you apply the second Make up by Mario product? The big like powder setting one? I need some new brushes.
A bit similar to the Amika’s Dream Routine and B&B products is Kerastase’s 8h Magic Night Serum. I’m almost done with my 3rd bottle (which NEVER happens), and I have to say, it is MAGICAL! I don’t know how (and would love to know if anyone else has had this experience or Abbey, if you know HOW this is possible), but I put it on once a day, right before I go to sleep, and I get 2 very different, seemingly opposing, results the next morning: 1.) From about the middle to the ends, my hair appears softer, (sorry, I know this isn’t the correct terminology) more hydrated and less dry/straw-like. A good result, and seems to deliver on what the label says it will do. 2.) Now for the weird part…the top third of my hair, from the roots to just above my neck, looks LESS dirty/oily/greasy. It’s the strangest thing, and at first I thought I was imagining this effect. I wash my hair about once a week, and normally after 3-4 days, the roots start looking a little greasy, which I combat by using dry shampoo. Before I used this product, by Day 6 the the dry shampoo had done everything it could do, and my hair needed to be washed. Now, I’ll put the Kerastase product on my hair (1-1/2 pumps, concentrating on the mid shaft to the roots) on Day 1, after I shower when it’s still wet; sometimes on Day 2 and/or 3 to soften the bottom half; then Days 4-6 (or even 7-9), still mostly applying it to the bottom half, but some on the upper area, near the roots (but not a lot, use sparingly in this area); and the n Ct morning, voila!, my hair looks clean again! If I forget to apply it on, for example, Days 4&5, it might look better after applying it on Day 6; then if I also apply it Day 7, then it will look even cleaner the next day! I swear, I loose track of when I last washed my hair, because it looks so good/normal, day after day after day. Now, I’ll sometimes use a bit of dry shampoo, but that’s really for texture/individual hairstyles, not to soak up excess oil. I didn’t expect-or even imagine-a product could do these 2 things, and feel crazy for trying to explain the results I get from this product! Has anyone else used this Kerastase product, and if so, had a similar experience? For reference, I’m in my mid-30s, have shoulder-length brown hair that I regularly color (to hide the gray) and occasionally highlight. My hair’s thickness is medium, maybe medium-coarse, and slightly wavy. I’ve never had unusual or amazing results with any other hair product, just average (except C-18 repair, which I’ve had surprisingly excellent luck with, especially given the Olaplex system didn’t do much of anything).
I am on my third bottle of Kerastase’s 8h Magic Night Serum and really like it, though recently switched to shu uemura Essence Absolue Overnight Nourishing Treatment which I like even better. I'm not sure why, but the Kerastase product makes my hair feel incredibly dry and straw-like . . . even my hairdresser mentioned that my hair felt very dry. Did not personally notice any change in the oilness of my hair with Kerastase, though your experience sounds incredible! The overnight treatments have been a good choice for me as all the the leave-in conditioners Abbey recommends weigh down my thin, fine hair. And, due to my dry hair, an overnight product seems to add moisture to my hair . . . and reduce frizz.
Lovely Abbey 😍 have you ever done a collaboration video? There are a couple of other beauty influencers that are almost as amazing as you are and I would looove to see you do a collab video!
I have never used a dry shampoo in my life. I'm so confused by how many youtubers use them. Then again, I could easily go 2 weeks without washing my hair without anyone noticing. So the IGK spray thing looks quite exciting to me.
wait you only use dry shampoo one day per week?! i like load it on everyday (starting 2-3 days after washing)!! Love your videos Abbey!!!! Thanks for all the great content
Does anyone actually think “hydrating” hair products mean making it wet with water? I think it’s a wrong word choice to say “conditioning” (oils, silicones). Am I wrong? Do ya’ll really think your hair should be wet?
I'm amazed at how you can have combo/oily skin but can go a week without washing your hair/scalp (and the dry shampoo does the trick for days!) - like, how? My hair would be a shiny mess and i don't have oily skin on the face.
I think it'd be really nice if you did a video on pregnancy safe options.. I know it may not pertain to you (yet) but with your ingredient knowledge it would be very helpful. Do you know if the Bliss exfoliant is safe for pregnancy?? I cant use retinol anymore & have bad hormonal acne & need some suggestions, please!!
Would love if you would review ORIBE hair care products . . . especially shampoo and conditioner. Oribe has so many different lines of product that I have no idea which ones to try . . . though I absolutely love the scent and quality of the ones I have used.
Love your product reviews! I was trying to watch the Giant Charlotte Tilbury Review video that you had linked in your description, but UA-cam has it listed as "Private" Are you still working on it or is it not officially up yet? I would love to hear your thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury!
Since we have similar skin tones and types, I watch your videos for your awesome recommendations on skin care, makeup and, especially, SPF! Here's an oddball.... since I know you're active and go for walks and runs, I'd love to see you review the Kizik sneakers/footwear that I'm seeing ads for all over the place. They look really awesome but I keep thinking, they just can't be all the stuff that's being hyped. Yes, there are reviews out there but by no one I already know and trust. If you're considering a video with products that aren't your usual fare, I hope you'll add these to the mix. I'll be watching anyway b/c your reviews are freaking super! Happy July BTW!!
We need more drugstore hair care videos!!

I would love to see a video on brands that have recently stepped it up. Thanks for your great info as always
Me too!! Please make a video with the brands that have impressed you in 2022🙏🏼
Please make this an ongoing series😊 I absolutely love videos like this!
Thank you for your quality videos, research, time and awesome info box.
Of course! Thanks for watching ☺️
@@AbbeyYung Can you please do a review on The Route Shake & Shield Tinted Broad Spectrum Mineral SPF 50 Sunscreen PA++++

Fascinating, I did think though thhat some ingredients were proven to decrease damage.
I saw a video of a girl spraying a piece of bread on one side with heat protection and the side she sprayed came out white while the other was toasted, it was interesing maybe it does work or maybe it only did that cuz it was wet?! look it up haha

@@stephh12341 yeah that's just a gimmick I saw the same thing but with sunscreen and then a dermatologist popped up and said that it was faked

I tried a sample of the Amika and really liked it enough to buy the full size for myself and my daughter 🥰
That amika product reminds me of the Moroccanoil mending infusion styling hair serum. It’s meant for slip ends but I use it for frizz. It’s extremely light no matter how much product you use. I went thru my bottle so fast. It’s become a holy grail product.

Igk antisocial made my bleach damaged hair feel like silk. I'm in love with it.

I have never used a dry shampoo in my life. I'm so confused by how many youtubers use them. Then again, I could easily go 2 weeks without washing my hair without anyone noticing. So the IGK spray thing looks quite exciting to me.
Thank you for making these videos!
Hey:) you mentioned that your dry shampoo really keeps your hair nice for almost a week. Could you plz share what dry shampoos are you using?
please do a video about shedding. normal shedding, not normal
shedding. why some shampoos seem to cause more in-shower shedding than others.
Thanks for doing all of the research for us 😊
wait you only use dry shampoo one day per week?! i like load it on everyday (starting 2-3 days after washing)!!
Love your videos!!!! ❤️ part 3 and 4 😂
On it!!!
A nice job, Abbey!❤️❤️
Love this series!
I'm amazed at how you can have combo/oily skin but can go a week without washing your hair/scalp (and the dry shampoo does the trick for days!) - like, how? My hair would be a shiny mess and i don't have oily skin on the face.
As someone with curly hair, hydration is key
I was trying to watch the Giant Charlotte Tilbury Review video that you had linked in your description, but UA-cam has it listed as "Private"
Are you still working on it or is it not officially up yet?
I would love to hear your thoughts on Charlotte Tilbury!
Your make up has been looking stunning lately
Have you used any of the Lanza Haircare products? I am very curious about the brand and wondered if you had any thoughts?
