Doubtful Sound is isolated and beautiful fjord.
Doubtful Sound is 3 times larger than Milford Sound.
It's also part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Wonderful experience day cruise with Eng.
We first depart drive from Cromwell to Manapouri (drive around 3.30am in the morning where both of us never had enough sleep), then start off with cruise across Lake Manapouri.
And travel by 45 mins coach over the Wilmot Pass. Next, board Doubtful Sound Patea scenic cruise boat. Appreciated the Guide shares all the informative knowledge all about the fjord along the way. The weather was quite windy. We brought our own food for breakfast and lunch to enjoy the beautiful landscape! Meanwhile, we met nice & friendly Malaysian family from Australia travelled to NZ for holiday, had a great chat!
After the cruise, we walked and chilled around Manapouri (a small town), ordered Kumara Fries. Then we head back to Queenstown to have dinner before going back to Cromwell.
Oh ya, please bring own insect repellent as Doubtful Sound a lot of hungry Sandfly! I got bitten by a lot of them and it caused a big swollen (next video will show how bad it is)
