Moutueka - Hokitika - Greymouth
First trip to West Coast of the South Island, NZ. exploring Hokitika & Greymouth with JX & XM. We were blessed with great weather over these 3 days, allowing us to capture many beautiful shots. I'm glad to tag along with JX & XM for this trip, and thanks JX for driving throughout!
1st stop was at the famous Pancake rocks & blowholes, enjoyed the breathtaking scenery of layered rocks that resembling pancakes. Stopped by several lookout points, visited the famous Hokitika sunset point, chilling and watched the sunset fade into dark skies, followed by glow worm sightseeing... Stayed at the Holiday parks which by far was my favorite! spacious and comfortable place.
Day 2 started at Hokitika Gorge where the view was stunning with the turquoise-blue waters, despite the sandflies around. Checked in Greymouth's accommodation (campsite!), thanks both of them fulfilling my desire to experience sleeping in a tent and thanks to JX lending me the mattress... tbh, I couldn't sleep well that night due to the cold and noise even with earplugs. But the experience worth it and no regret.
We enjoyed and experience the horse and wagon tour during sunset time in Barrytown, and I appreciated the guide sharing so many stories about NZ-it was an amazing experience.
Day 3 - we wandered around the quiet town of Greymouth.
Overall, it was happy trip with them!
