I had a high school girlfriend for 5 years (plus one year after of on and off), and when we broke up, this song fucked me up. Because it was one of the first songs she ever introduced to me as freshmen. It was unbearably painful to hear while dealing with severe depression. A few years later after we ended, I got the courage to listen to it again. Instead of crying sad tears, they were happy tears. I had to let go and accept that it was meant to be, but I can always hold onto and revisit those memories whenever I chose to, without getting fucked up again. This song is a definite example of life being bittersweet. I love it.

Why did the original band split up? This song
is a masterpiece.
The first woman i had ever fallen in love with had turned me on to this band and this was her favorite song. I learned her and played it for her. I still think of her whenever i hear it. Now when i sing it, it just feels like a tribute.
I put this on a cd years ago along with several other bands/songs and named it "songs to kill yourself to volume 2"

This song takes quite the turn when a second dude slips in (presumably also through the window) where homegirl fell out of her clothes and starts singing also. It might be only a one-man drinking game, but it sounds like it was, at the very least, a two-man nightcap for ol' girl. And that's cool...get as freaky as you wanna get. I encourage that. I guess it was just unexpected.
