Katilette I am in High School right now. I am having a very hard time. Just yesterday I was lying on the ground in my back yard wishing I could just die. I have a few extra things that most don't have. I have a few disabilities and I am homeschooled in 11th grade. I am having a hard time right now stressing over school work and having panic attacks about silly things. Like about my brother coming to the YMCA with me because when he comes I feel like I have to rush during my swim practice and other things. Keep in mind I used to not have panic attacks. I was never diagnosed with them before and still not diagnosed with them. Yesterday I cried more then 4 long times. I even had my concealing appointment yesterday. I cried during that to. I sometimes don't know why I am here on this planet. I do want to say your videos on this channel and the Shaytards channel do help me a lot because you guys are so positive about life and so strong in your faith. I am very strong in my faith and I honestly believe that if I was not strong in my faith I would have already committed suicide. I also want to say I already help others. I help others when I am going threw a hard time and a good time. It does help me feel good to help people when I am having a hard time and a good time. Is there any more ideas you have about how to deal with stress or panic. God bless you.

I lost my mom 22 years ago to cancer when she was 37. I was 19 then. I was so depressed and actually lost my faith and was angry with God. After 2 years of living in a depressive fog, I went back to my child church. I found out how much I needed God if I was going to pull myself together and go on without my mom and be there for my dad and brother.

    Hey Colette,
I just started rewatching all of your old videos and I fully enjoy it!
Since I am having a hard time at the moment with lots of changes and bad things happening, you help me so much! I love the way you talk and it comforts me a lot. You have a talent for making me think and reflect my points of view without me feeling like you want to convince me in any way!
I don't expect you to read this but I just wanted to tell you this and I hope you understood me! (I'm from Europe and sometimes it's not easy to explain what I want to say.)
In Auguts 2015 I met you (and your family) in Disneyland and I wanted to tell you all those things but I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't say anything...
Much love and a big "thank you"!

To be loved by the beautiful Colette Butler ... makes a subscription to this channel truly worthwhile. God bless ya today, Colette ! You are an incredible lady. I admire you, even though I'm a little farther along in years than you --- you're an inspiration. Praying you have an easy 5th delivery, and much health & happiness to you & yours. Love from Canada !

REALLY needed this message. Thanks Colette. You are really wise and I have always thought that. Through the Shaytard's vlogs, podcasts, and the videos on this channel, you always come from a place of knowledge and experience and truth.
I really appreciate this message. You're right.. Maybe if I look past my own struggles, I can see someone else's problems and help them out. Because life ISN'T about you all the time. It's about how you can make a positive impact on others living in this same world. :)
"There is always something better ahead."
Love that. You give me hope.
+ I bought the song Hope by Natasha Bedingfield today so if anyone reading this needs a song to pick them up, this is the song.
    Much love to everyone.

This is one of the few motivational videos that actually gives real advice. Most just talk about how everything will be okay, but you actually give concrete advice on what to do. that means a lot to me.
I also must say I feel almost ashamed when I think about the problems that I feel depressed about when I hear about people who have lost close family members and have gone through horrible tragedies...its gives me so much perspective.

Thank you so much. Today my pet bird passed away (by accident...she got out and my puppy wanted to play with her) and I'm trying really hard to keep it together. This is the third pet I've lost in just over a year. It's always helpful to feel like someone understands, because I really feel alone in my sadness. Thanks for making me smile :)

There was a point in my life (three years ago) where I was in a very very dark place. And I'm still very thankful for that! :) I love you so much! Thanks for everything.

We love you too Colette!! Lol, I am 7 months pregnant right now and you made me cry big time! I could see you are all emotional right now also...so funny how things get with all the hormones. YOU are such an inspiration...so much of what you say has a profound effect on my (and so many other viewers) lives. I totally agree with reaching out and helping people. Its the reason I have been a caregiver for the elderly for a total of nine years. I tried to quit caregiving all together, due to the extreme physical and emotional challenges. It Is very hard to watch someone you have taken care of for months or years pass away. But I get pulled back just when I think I am ready to leave caregiving by a patient telling my how much I mean to them.

Stress actually makes us release a hormone nicknamed the cuddle hormone, which makes us want to reach out to other people. It's amazing. It's like the body has a built in response to make you connect with other people because it knows that will make you feel better. Anyway thanks so much for this, Colette, I really needed it today! Love you x

Failing my first year of university doing dentistry, I questioned everything about my life's worth. I barely smiled or spoke to my family over the summer. I felt like I could only smile if i was watching katilette or the shaytards, the rest of the day I studied. Now I have passed my resit exams and can move on to 2nd year! :) Thanks to you and your family guiding me through my darkest times, I can be a happier, better person to my family. Like the person I was before. Sincerely, Thank you. :)

When one of my very best friends from childhood unexpectedly passed away four months ago, my faith really helped me (and continues to help me) get through this. This isn't to say there haven't been days I've felt incredibly sad or hopeless, because it does happen from time to time. But I find comfort knowing that she is now free from the pain and illness she felt throughout her life, and I know her journey is far from over.

Thanks for this video Colette. I lost my big brother four years ago, he was only 25 years old, I was 24 years old, it was so devastating to lose such a close family member so suddenly as well. The pain stays with you for the rest of your life, BUT it does get easier, I pray that I will see him again in heaven, and I believe he is at peace now, but still with us looking down on us. I still dream about him, which is nice in a way cause I get to see him in my dreams. I wish he was still here.

I went through some rough times about two years ago, and I felt alone and that I struggled in a hole I would never be able to get out of. If only I knew the existence of someone as sweet as you who reaches out and says "hey, you're not alone and it will get better", it would have been easier. From my experience, it does get better eventually. Thank you for your support, Colette, I think you help a lot those ones who are stuck in life and feel like everything is wrong.

Thanks Collette, I needed to see this video, it has been so hard these past few months, in July my wife had a miscarriage, we have been having such a financial crisis with college and well there have been rainstorms her in UT that have been awesome for outside but our closet decided to flooded and we are currently not staying in our apartment at this time, and its just been overwhelming, serving others hopefully is that remedy. Keep us in your prayers...

My mom passed a few years ago and I was 13. I still feel like I can't keep going some days but I know that I'm not. When I hear you talk about this it makes me feel a little closer to feeling better. So thank you for making like a little brighter(:

Thank you so much for this video collette!! I'm under a lot of stres from school and stuff at the moment and just found out tonight that my aunt had cancer. She has lived with her twin sister for their whole lives and now the other will be on her own when she passes on, and I can't do anything about it because they live in Spain and I'm in England. I feel quite helpless and your video really helped lift me up :) xx

It is super hard to loose someone close. I lost my mom on my 21st bday 10 yrs ago (on the 11th of Aug) and the pain is still there. I do however celebrate her life positively though by remembering the good ! That always brings a smile to my face.

I've been trough depression and it was horrible. After some months of therapy I'm better. Sometimes I still have days when I'm down but I always look at the things what I have. I learned that from your family. Whenever I feel down I just watch some random vlogs so I feel happy again. You and Shay are my inspiration. Thanks for being here.

I watched some of the earlier videos and you seem so young and still very beautiful but you can see a new wisdom you have now. You are a great Woman and a wonderful Mother!

hello colette!i've been a shaytards viewer for 4y and i really enjoy seeing your lives and mostly that religious part of it.I've been raised as an atheist and i am one.I was severely bullied during the past year i was at the point where i thought i'd give up,like i couldnt handle it,and it was then that 4 awesome people came in my life, basically i went up to them and they still help me through it.i may not have faith in God,but I have faith in people, especially those 4.you are amazing, great vid!

Thank you so much Colette, this is just what I needed to see. I just started university this week and it's been extremely hard on me. But I did rely in God's hands this week and I feel like he was watching over me :) And watching this video just sealed the thought :)

Colette, I love and respect you, thank you for this vlog. I hope that people realize that feeling sad, low or depressed is much different than those who experience clinical depression. Clinical depression needs medical attention and is not something that someone can just "shake off" or do something to take their mind off of it. If anyone feels that way, please reach out and get the proper help and support you need.

I love how heartfelt this video was. I definitely needed this. I don't get how you stay so strong in your faith despite so many hardships. I'm really struggling with that right now and I'm kind of angry at god. Not sure what to do but this did let me know I'm not alone when it comes to difficult times
