The moment the keeper showed up and the flamingo ran towards her immediately, my heart just melted. Awwwww... What a beautiful bond these two have. It's almost as if it sees her as a guardian or parent? Thanks for sharing National Geographic.
if you watched the TV show you would see the keeper was with the Flamingo since the moment the flamingo hatched So the keeper was imprinted upon the flamingo and she runs to the keeper every time. Adorable

The Black Baron You know, you can spend a lot of time with the zoo animals as well. You can volunteer at your local zoo. I do, and it is a whole lot of fun.

Every time I see a bird by brain breaks, like it's so obvious that they are theropod dinosaurs and I don't get how some could even deny it.
@@thesatanosaurreigns2448 I believe flamingos evolved from sauropod dinosaurs, to be honest
@@megspitzer9406 technically all birds evolved from the same avian ancestor, which is itself embedded within a family of feathered Theropods called Maniraptora.

Tara Roach Some zoos and aquariums have what are called multiple species enclosures where different species share the enclosure since they would see each other in the wild.

I’m getting my veterinary technology degree and license in hopes of getting a job like this one day ❤️
Morganism I think you should also start volunteering at an AZA accredited zoo as soon as possible so that you have a better chance of getting hired as a zookeeper.
Yeah if you want to have a job like this, Id recommend you start volunteering at your nearby zoo of your choice and eventually transition into a bigger role and using your education as leverage for hiring.
Update, I’m graduated and studying for my license exam and no zoos around me are accepting volunteers or interns because of covid lol

@@BrianM2521 yes I passed the VTNE first try and I have a job at a small hospital that sees exotic pets (mostly dogs tho). Workin my way up to zoo tech

Christine Fu. The last video of geo made me look up if you can rent a flamingo. Sadly not, you HAVE to rent a whole bunch of them so they feel better.
